Introduction

Yhi System
New Tython
Kamuekiko
Aki Mountain Range, 39 ABY

A dim morning light filtered its way through the cloudy skies above New Tython, illuminating the towering peaks and craggy valleys of the Aki Mountains with a dull gray cast. Mists swam through the air, undulating and flowing silently before being swept aside by the sure, steady steps of a Jedi Sentinel. The continent of Kamuekiko often looked like this, gray and dim from the clouds above; the same weather patterns that gave the rainforests below their unending deluge gave these altitudes a cloak of undying fog, turning treacherous and unruly footing into a death trap for less-capable beings. This range was one of the few places on the planet that neither its Harakoan natives, nor its Tythonian colonists, a melange of humans and aliens from offworld, would enter.

With a grim expression and a grumble, Seraphol Ceartas pressed on, his boots crunching stones as his heavy cloak held back the worst of the piercing cold. Weathered gray robes, sensible for travel and durable on the road, adorned his body. Were it not for the difficult, exertive climb up here, he'd have come in full combat gear. Calloused hands kept a firm grip on the hilt of his lightsaber, the elegant weapon's emitter flashing as its wielder stood ready to unleash its blade. Caution informed his every decision; many researchers had died in these mountains. More than one had been Jedi. The Aki ranges were a death trap, a place no sapient being would ever wander, where nature and climate themselves lived on the edge of a knife.

Of course the old man had chosen this place.

Wary, his eyes scanning the land and sky above as his Force senses stayed finely tuned for unseen threats, the Quaestor of House Hoth chose his footing with extreme care, knowing well that more than a few predators joined the natural dangers of these mountains; Seraphol had learned only recently that the word "Aki," in Giokese, the tongue of the Iwu Gioki tribe, meant "Death." All about him, the thin sense of lurking danger could be felt, both by his physical senses and his ethereal ones. Here, one never knew if a stray step, a falling boulder, or a lurking beast was just around the corner. Here, even the Force knew not to place any bets.

Seraphol crested a rise, the light catching the faint scar on his face; seated below the left ear, it traced its way down to a stern lipline, drawing tight on a face lined more from frowning than from a smile. Stern eyes, their irises the hard, flecked brown of aged tree bark, peered out from beneath a head of brown hair flecked with gray earned in combat and leadership. They took in the sight of a cave, its ragged edges worn into the rock by eons of erosion and weather; the Force here seemed to still, like a mirrored pond in the center of a churning lake. His eyes narrowed, as he approached.

"Your weapons," An old voice issued out, deep like a lake, yet creaking faintly like an old floorboard. "You will not need them."

Seraphol nodded, clasping his blade to his belt and peering about. One could never be too sure in these areas.

Steady, well-placed footsteps led the Sentinel into the cave, its deep crags and rough hew illuminated by cracks in the ceiling above; light streamed into the caverns, illuminating motes of dust as they danced and swam in the air, untouched by living beings until now. In the cave's center sat the cross-legged form of Ceartas' quarry. Were it not for the Force within him, or the steady rise and fall of his chest, he could have been a statue.

Liam Torun's eyes were closed, the deep lines of his face stoic and calm behind a thick, white beard that splayed down to his chest. Locks of snowy hair flowed down his back, neither cheek nor scalp touched by a blade in decades, sweeping over robes of tan and brown; each fold of fabric was creased and wrinkled to the burly frame of its wearer, seeming to have been kept and cared for since the day it was received. Leather boots older than most of Clan Odan-Urr's Jedi adorned his feet, mended and maintained since the hermit had been a Padawan learner. By now, the Quaestor pondered if Liam would be less comfortable in his own bare feet, having used them for so long.

Seraphol noted a bundled green cloak on the nearby stone, the Consular's saberstaff no doubt bundled into its folds. "Were it me," He said, "I'd keep my weapon within reach. Too many things here looking to kill you."

Liam's face remained stoic, though a hint of mirth crept into his tone as he spoke. "I am seventy-two years old, Quaestor. For all I know, my next nap might kill me." He didn't open his eyes, but extended one hand, the movement balanced and controlled. "Stay awhile, and I'll listen."

Seraphol nodded, looking about and taking a seat on one of the flatter stones jutting out from the cave walls. It wasn't so different from the smooth stone benches of Fort Pernicar; the man hadn't used a cushion in months. "We have a mission for you. The Jedi Knights of House Hoth are scattered, and disconnected; I fear several of them have lost faith, and need guidance. The war on Korriban, the O'reenian conflict, the Dajorra-Yhi Concordat...," The Sentinel trailed off. "Their faith has been tested; we need to galvanize them again. We need you," He said carefully, "To reunite our finest warriors."

"You want me to reassemble the Knights," Liam said more plainly, an emphasis given to the term. Seraphol nodded. "I accept. The Force brought you here; I shall serve its will."

"Great," Seraphol said, pausing for more from the old man. When Liam didn't speak, the Quaestor waited a moment, before awkwardly asking, "...How do you plan on finding them?"

"I don't," Liam replied with a chuckle, chocolate eyes with a youth surpassing most children slowly opening. "They will find me."

They came from the stars, and the planet below. Soldiers and seers, mercenaries and cutthroats, heroes and vagabonds. Divided, their own motives and desires drawing them apart, they would be forced together by dire need and would answer the call. They are brave; they are bold; they are many, and they fight as one.

They are the Knights of Allusis.

These Are Their Stories

Welcome to my first report as the Knight-Commander for House Hoth's storied Battleteam, the Knights of Allusis! In the short time since my appointment, a little over a month, I've assembled a team of old members and new, veterans and youths, to form our new roster. Our numbers include several member of the old Knights of Allusis, their past achievements well-remembered by our Clan; they also include outsiders, transfers, and newcomers new to the Jedi Path and the lore of Odan-Urr. House Hoth is the frontier guard, the rugged Knights ready to press forward into hostile wilderness to help spread peace, justice, freedom, and prosperity to all of New Tython's denizens.

One might say our roster is unconventional. Jedi Knights, Sith rogues, wandering adventurers. Bounty hunters, mercenaries, and the odd pirate; diamonds in the rough, and unpolished Padawans with gifts as-yet-unveiled. And a doctor, because it's going to be a bumpy ride.

These are, at present, the Rogue's Gallery that will one day become the Knights of Allusis. They are all great characters, and will all see their moments in the spotlight; and yet, as with any good character in any good story, theirs need to be told first.

To that end, I present to you Their Stories. Enjoy what's there now, and check back soon for details on buccaneers, hired guns, and what may be the largest field medic you've ever seen.

Who We Are; What We Do

The Knights of Allusis, like many Battleteams of Clan Odan-Urr, have faced the question of identity. Who are we? What do we do, and why do we exist? What purpose do we serve in the greater unit of our Clan, and how does that factor into the bigger picture?

To that end, I will tell you exactly what we are. We are heroes.

Some of you, Knights, are valiant defenders of the Jedi Code. Some of you prefer the Hippocratic Oath, or the bonds of family, be they Warrior Clans on distant worlds or villagers within the trees. Some of you are anti-heroes, be you grim as death, too old for this, or simple beings trying to make your way in the universe. Some are even villains, though with time and the right enemy, that may not be as true as either of us thinks it is. Your stories aren't separate from the Clan, or the House; they are the cogs to the machine, the personal tales that drive the bigger picture and inform the major events of Odan-Urr. Our purpose is not to be a combat team, or a Gaming team, a Training team, or even a Vendetta team.

KoA is here to tell your story, and to get you involved in the telling. It's here to engage you, to include you, and to help you have a whole lot of fun in this Star Wars club we love so much. Give me your activity, and in exchange I'll reward you, include you, give you a voice to speak with and a platform to tell your stories. Stick with me, and maybe one or two - or frag it, eleven - of you will find your way up the ladder of Clan Leadership.

The Herald of the Dark Council was a Knight-Commander. The Clan Proconsul was a Knight-Commander. The Quaestor of Hoth was a Knight-Commander. One day, I will follow in their footsteps and move into different aspects of this club. That leaves you with one question to ask yourself.

Will you, one day, be a Knight-Commander?

This Is Their Message

The Knights of Allusis have come together, and their story is progressing beautifully. The activity we display is a beacon, not only to House Hoth or Clan Odan-Urr, but to the Brotherhood itself. Our members have come together on Telegram, have risen in the SA and GMRG Societies, have garnered a metric frag-ton of Clusters, Crescents, Pendants, and other medals, and some have even progressed forward in rank. This is what happens when Jedi are active, Knights - this is how we succeed, and this is how we dominate.

But it is not why we dominate. We kick ass because we are a team united, a group of badasses who are devoted to the Clan, to the House, to the Team, and above all - to each other. We are a family in KoA, we help each other up, support each other, and teach each other. Some of us may shoot past others in one month, and lag behind in another, but all of us are here for our brothers and sisters one hundred percent of the time. More importantly, we get out there as a unit, a living example of what makes Odan-Urr and Hoth mighty and great.

We are the First to Defend. We are the Last to Fall. May the Force be with you.

Signed and Sealed,
Liam Torun
Councillor of Urr
Knight-Commander of KoA
The Most Interesting Old Man in the Galaxy

A most excellent report. As always I eagerly anticipate the domination that the Knights do when they participate in competitions. You guys make me proud to serve you as your Quaestor!

Outstanding report! I am so damn proud of you Knights right now sniff sniff. To be mentioned in the same breath as V'yr, Liam, and Seraphol in anything is a high honor.

Great Report. And not just because my nickname is The Doctor.

Damnit, Turel, Xan's a doctor, not a massage therapist.

Excellent report, Liam, I like the format and the nicknames especially :)

Love the story that's coming together, can't wait to see how it progresses once we all get together.
