“It's that time of year again. I demand the greatest of all spectacles to entertain me. I expect only the very best.”

Grand Master Bubba Dacien Victae clasped his hands together and leaned forward like he was expecting an answer from his Praetor.

“Kay… but… last year’s co-host is busy being Emperor to the Regent or some kark.”

Socorra’s deep accent rolled the R in Regent and she waved nonchalantly. She would have loved to have Thran to annoy incessantly help her again, but she knew that he was more preoccupied now than he had been the year prior. As if she wasn’t.

“I don't care who you find to do it. I will not tolerate being disappointed, Socorra,” Dacien spun in his chair, a hideous, large rancor leather monstrosity more fit for a Gammorean than the Grand Master of the Brotherhood. Unfortunately, the Iron Throne was still being decontaminated since it had traces of Evant’s backside on it, so it had to do for now.

“Fine. But I will need the new black card,” Soccora huffed in resignation. “Honestly would rather wrestle krayt than deal with that again...”

Unfortunately for her, Dacian didn't give two womprats what she thought.

“No.”

“Pleeeeeaaaase?”

“I said no.”

“Come on. With.. cherry or some osik on top? I no have the Exeter to bribe you with like I did Thran. It’s in black hole somewhere. Or a sun, likely. What you do it for? Credits? News page mention? My...Praetor job?”

She seemed oddly hopeful at that last.

“What part of no do you not understand? I have more important matters to attend to than whatever this frivolous activity of yours is.”

The Mandalorian Sith, now Consul of Clan Vizsla, placed her hands on her hips indignantly. She stood in front of Anders like a stone pillar blocking a scenic view; annoyingly stubborn and refusing to be moved.

“You are such spoiled sport,” Socorra shook her head. She practically reeked fake disappointment.

“Spoilsport,” the Chiss corrected. Outside of the woman’s poor Basic, it didn't affect Anders in the slightest, who simply shrugged. “I have been called worse. Why do you even wish for my assistance in the first place? Is there not anyone else you can give a headache to?”

“Everyone else busy and you're literally last option.”

“Excuse me?”

“Er, I mean, I thought you be best person to assist! Someone who can put on greatest spectacle ever!” The attempted sweet smile was middling at best.

Anders pursed his lips. “That is very true… you would likely do a subpar job without me.”

Socorra growled and resisted the urge to deck him. Unfortunately, the urge to plan and flawlessly execute this year's Grand Master's event was far greater.

“Very well. I will assist you in ensuring this is the greatest spectacle the Brotherhood has ever seen. First, we will require…”

Socorra placed her head in the palm of her hand as Taldryan's Vice-Chancellor began monologuing towards the nearby window, which had a spectacular view of Arx below, where apparently a massive parade would be taking place.

What in the name of Mandalore had she signed herself up for?

Happy April Fool's Day! Don't know about you but I’m enjoying the pranks-not-pranks this year. I will, however, start a rebellion if we can’t all fight Kam at once. Anyone with me?!

May the Fourth is a three-week GM-sponsored event, fiction and co-conspired by Appi-Anders, that will coincide with the traditional opening of the Celebration store and run tentatively May 1st-May 22nd. It is a small team event with both co-ops and individual competitions.

Some of the potential events:

• Lizard-Toad-Snake (button)
• Escape Room
• Mad Libs
• Jeopardy
• Star Wordle
• Trivias
• Two Truths and a Lie
• Hunts
• Bingo
• Puzzles (as if)

All are invited (especially DC) to sign up in groups of two to four. Four shall be the number thou shalt count up to, and the number of the counting shall be four. Five shalt thou not count, neither count thou zero, excepting that thou then proceed to (two) to four.

Anyone can sign up and individuals will be randomly assigned to teams without four. Last year, completely randomly assigned and named Team Three snagged first place out of 16!

Some fine details to pay attention to: There are multipliers in place that give bonus points for having more than 2 unique participants from the team and for placing in each competition. Full four-person teams benefit greatly over smaller teams if everyone in it participates.

Soloists are welcome as well with no signups necessary, but only teams may place.
