Mortis Quaestor Report #1

Introductions!

Greetings, Mortis! Thanadd here, your resident death knight and brand new Quaestor!

Obviously, I'm excited to be here! I have a few things I want to say, so please stick with me.

First of all, I'd like to take a moment to thank Samael for his service. He has graciously stepped aside to allow me to learn in this role, while he tends to a myriad of responsibilities. Our partnership may not be official for now, but as a clanmate, Sam is a pillar of good humor and creativity. He's been a good influence on me through his attitude, always offering an ear and positive word.

This kind of behavior and leadership is ubiquitous in Tarentum, all the way through the Clan Summit. We all need an attitude adjustment sometimes, and setting a good example is a powerful method of applying one. Flies and honey, and all that...

So, thank you Sam, for all you have done and continue to do!

Work in Progress!

Now that I've eulogized a living person, I'd like to move on to the point of this report: informing you all of the House's current activities!

As I'm sure most of you know, Tarentum continues to undergo a transition. We are shifting and adapting and optimizing, like a caterpillar in a cocoon. Our Clan leadership in Sith and Rax are sharing the fun and glory of such a momentous era, which also means sharing responsibilities.

The visionary theme for House Mortis is a that we are a decadent and perverse noble house. We are ghoulish warriors, decrepit sages, scheming rakes and black sorcerers. We are Tarentum's lords and ladies of shadow, delvers into the deepest abyss and awful courtiers of death itself. We are paragons of darkness, all. How, though, do we implement the privileges and burdens of such a wicked aristocracy?

Well, we're working on it. We’re also working on revising, expanding and updating the most sinister elements of Tarentum’s legacy - our necromantic predilections.

The aim is to provide strong thematic structure with the freedom enjoyed by the Brotherhood at large, which is the flexibility to play a customized and nuanced character within canon parameters. This is not a quick process, to be sure, but one which continues to tantalize and motivate. I have a lot of hope for what might be accomplished.

We’ll keep you posted!

Aedile Wanted!

...and by we, I am referring to myself and my Aedile - who could you be you, dear reader!

Applications for the Mortis AED are due to me this time next week. I would love to just take them on a rolling basis, but the delay of the Great Jedi War is a great opportunity to really focus on Tarentum at the Clan and House level. In order to keep the gears of this machine well oiled, I’d like to have the position filled ASAP.

I’m looking for somebody who has a strong interest in synergy with the club as it currently functions. We want to innovate within a workable atmosphere, and that means adhering to canon, having an understanding of our CS system, being a team player, and stimulating growth in Tarentum as an example to the rest of the Brotherhood.

I see a lot of talent in Tarentum, so if you're interested in the position, don't be shy! There's work to be done, but it's a lot of fun. Just tell me why you want to be Aedile, and why you think you're a good candidate. I'm not going to be doing any federal background checks, and I require no standardized test scores or fingerprinting. Just talk to me.
