Report #4: Annnnd away we go

ATTENTION: NIGHTHAWK CREW

Well after a month of complete and utter chaos involving the end of my semester, starting a new job, being far too involved with Destiny events going on. I’m getting back into the swing of things. Hope everyone has been well! In the meantime, I’ll be sending out emails to each of you on an individual basis to check in, get some feedback, and see what you guys have been up to in recent times.

While I know we have a healthy heart of gaming activity among a good many of us, there are still a few of us who have not bought into the current systems or rate ourselves as more casual gamers. I have been considering running some flash game competitions for folks to participate in. I believe we have a small but regular group of people playing Star Conflict (Kordath among them), and I know Ninj (Zakath) is heavily into The Old Republic right now.

Just as an FYI, my schedule has changed (I’m out of the house from about 5am to 7pm eastern Monday - Friday). I am still available at any point through WhatsApp, G+, or by Email. I can typically respond within an hour to two hours at most during breaks and lunch.

Going forward I would like to continue to see us driving activity and participation. Part of making that happen involves you guys talking to us about what you want to see happen, what competition types you find enjoyable, and what you would like to see less of as well. Giving your Summit ideas as to what makes the Dark Jedi Brotherhood fun for you is what allows us to make the Club successful and continue to keep Arcona at it’s best.

END ATTENTION.

So there are a couple of things I would like to address going forward. First is my commitments to you guys. I want to make sure I’m providing you guys with projects, competition, ideas, concepts, and whatever else you guys desire to be engaged in and having fun with. If that means leaving you the hell alone so you can focus on personal projects, that works for me. So, in light of that, when I contact you guys about upcoming opportunities, lets discuss those topics, and see what we can do to collaborate and find what works best for you, me, and the team.

What I would like to see from you: I measure the Nighthawks success based off of its activity (number of competitions participated in + SA courses taken + gaming activity + individual accomplishments and project work). Seems like a lot, but in truth these items are fairly easy to track and also a good gauge as to our involvement in the Club.

When I write these reports, the thing I love to see most is members being active, being involved, and giving me a reason to shout out, “Hey look at this guy/gal!” I do want to set an expectation though, I do want to see -some- measure of activity from each of you to continue being involved in the Nighthawk team. If that isn’t something you can commit to right now, that is not an issue. When circumstances change we can always incorporate someone back into the team. If you are busy working on hush hush secret projects for the club at large, I’m good with that; however, when I contact you, I need you to communicate that to me.

Primary Objectives for the next two weeks:

Dive into house projects and clan projects Prepare for an upcoming Vendetta style event Be prepared to see individual emails from me as to how you have been and what we can focus on going forward. Lets hit up the Shadow Academy! The SA is lonely with all of us in the N/A category for nearly a month on completing courses. - The member with the most courses completed with the highest grade between this report and my next… may or may not see a small shiny token for their efforts.

Lets continue to make the Nighthawk a great Battleteam!

Not much to include here I haven’t stated previously. It continues to be an honor to serve as the Captain of the Nighthawk and I always look forward to getting to work with you guys. I’m really looking forward to some of the events coming up and hope you guys have been happy with the direction we’re going in. Speaking of that direction… I hope to be able to clear more up of what our overall goals will be going forward in my next report once I’ve had an opportunity to talk to each of you in turn.

Hey guys! I feel like I have been wondering the cosmos, trying to figure out what has been going on recently. The reason for that, as with many others, is that I have been very busy outside of the Brotherhood as of late. I have been taking a leadership class through the military for those that are curious where I had wondered off to. What this should mean to you: a better leader when it is finished! When will it be finished, you ask? Wednesday! But that is enough about what’s going on with me, on to you!

I think our Captain is on the right track with things. Getting everyone a little more involved would be nice to see, especially in the Shadow Academy department. Seeing that, I will also be getting some courses done to represent us a little bit. Outside of the Shadow Academy, we should also be more involved in other happenings around the Brotherhood. Some of you may be asking us: what should we do? what can we do? Well here is where we, as your leaders, can help you. We can provide those things to do, and we can also point you in the direction of other types of things to do if they are available; however, this does come at a cost. That cost? Feedback. As Uji stated, we need your input. For example, we cannot keep making a ‘Where’s Waldo’ competition for the whole crew if only one person is going to participate every time. Let us know what you enjoy, what you would like to see/try, and then tell us what you thought of it after you have finished participating! Feedback is a key to communication and progression.

The last thing I would like to touch on is our goal. I feel as though we set our standards a little high with the competition every week because of the things that were going on with us. I would like to strive towards that goal, but realistically Uji and I sometimes may not make that goal. This is another opportunity for you guys to step up and provide a competition. Clear it with us, or your master / summit if you have one. We can help you out!

I look forward to seeing you guys out and about a little bit more. Until then, keep being the best! We love you guys!

Keep up the great work everyone! See you next time!

Dismissed!

Captain Uji

Keep it up, Nighthawk! Let's see you guys and gals soar.

(YeahIdid.)

You absolute git! What about those of us who've gotten ALL SA courses already?

Just joking btw, nice report. I applaud any comp that brings the SA more users as well

  • Written by Ood, BubbaX didn't have his hand in me nor did he use me as a puppet to make me say this. despite the name connotations.
