October Voidbreaker Report: War Edition

Greetings Voidbreakers!

So here we are, one big happy battleteam and just in time for WAR! Truly, these are exciting times for us. On one side, we have a new threat: The Collective, an organization bent on the wholesale slaughter of all Force users. On the other side, we have Pravus and his lackeys, who are determined to bring the Clans to heel. And there we are, smack dab in the middle between them.

But we will not be broken. We will rise up, bare our teeth and meet them all with violence and ferocity unlike any have ever seen! We will destroy them, and bathe the galaxy in their blood. Because we are the First Clan, darlings. It is what we do.

So are you ready? Let’s do this.

War!

If you haven’t had the chance, be sure to check out the email that Zuji sent out a few days ago. It is the most thorough resource for all of the information regarding the GJW.

  • When additional fiction updates drop, you will be able to find them in the Fiction Center.
  • The Collective has a fancy faction page.
  • And of course, there are a ton of competitions to partake in!
  • As always, keep the Rites of Combat in mind.
  • It might also be helpful to check out the recent message from Jac and the Chamber of Justice.

Bins, Participation and Points

Participation is one of the most important measurements of a Clan’s overall activity during the war. While it would be awesome if everyone could do all of the war events, time constraints and real life commitments does not always make that possible. To that end, all of the competitions have been divided into bins; participation in just one competition in the bin counts for participation points for the Clan.

Of course, if you want to participate in more than one competition in a bin, you certainly can! For more details and information, be sure to check out Mav’s update. The competition list, divided by bins, can be found below.

Farewell, Atyiru!

As you may remember, our beloved Consul Atyiru plunged to her death in a Turbolift at the conclusion of Endgame. Satsi Tameike has risen to the occasion to lead us during the war. You can read about her ascent in the most recent fiction update.

Welcome, Grot!

Grot crept among the seemingly endless aisles, bright orange eyes flicking right and left as he examined the contents of the shelves. The sprawling halls of the Shadow Academy contained an untold amount of knowledge for those who were willing to seek it. He was not only willing, but he was eager to do so. He approached the hunt for knowledge with the same level of enthusiasm he would have if he were hunting a creature or a person.

One clawed hand paused over a datapad. Retrieving the device, he opened the interface and began to skim its contents. It contained information about the Inquisitorius, a shadowy band of spies and assassins. Perhaps they would serve as worthy prey.

A slow, grim smile began to spread across his face as he considered how many points and credits he would gain for capturing one. But his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of approaching footfalls, alternating with an unusual clicking sound. He turned as a red-headed soft-skin on crutches came into view. She paused and studied him before smiling in apparent relief. “Oh, lovely. I was beginning to think I would have to search this entire place for you. Grot, I presume?” the woman said.

The Trandoshan narrowed his eyes as he studied the soft-skin and quickly decided that he was not impressed. The lightsaber at her hip indicated she might be a challenge, but the intricate silk dress, high heels, and crutches made it clear that it would not be much. Not worth many points at all. “Who are you and what do you want?” he said, as his scaly lips peeled back into a sneer which displayed rows of razor-sharp teeth.

“My name is Lucine,” the soft-skin replied with a pleasant smile as she hobbled closer. If she was intimidated by his toothy display, she did not show it. “Tali has told me much about you, and I wanted to meet you in person.”

Grot narrowed his eyes at the mention of the purple Twi'lek. “What did she tell you?”

“She told me that you are a hunter of considerable skill and a capable fighter. She mentioned your bravery, your cunning, and your tenacity. She seems to think you would make a good addition to the team, and I am inclined to agree with her.”

“Hmm,” Grot turned his attention back to the shelves but kept the red-head in his peripheral vision. “And why would I want to join this team?”

“Because you are highly competitive, and are constantly hunting for the next challenge. Voidbreaker can provide you with credits and a steady stream of worthy prey to pursue,” Lucine replied. She paused, taking in his apparent disinterest and the datapad still in his hands. “In fact, we are about to begin a conflict with a large and powerful group of people. It seems that many of their number utilize cybernetic enhancements that vastly increase their physical abilities. Afterward, who knows? Perhaps we will return to our conflict against the Inquisitorius. Does any of that interest you?”

“Maybe,” the Trandoshan replied. “Let us say I was. What happens next?”

“Then you would have a little conversation with Voidbreaker's Battleteam Leader, ” Lucine said. “If you do well in the interview, then you would be allowed to join.”

“And where would I find this Battleteam Leader?”

“As good fortune would have it, she has already found you,” Lucine replied with a smile. “Now, shall we continue our conversation?”
