Aliso
The Pinnacle
Overseer's Office

"... you need to continue to demonstrate your worth Jai'de. I did not bring you back in from the cold to slack off. With limited resources, the new transfers from the Shadow Academy are your responsibility. Make it a productive one." Teylas finished before disconnecting the call.

Jai'de paced atop the Pinnacle. The sun was setting on the day, red and angry against the sky. The analogy was fitting to the mood of the newly returned Overseer for Clan Plagueis. Fingertips steepled, she thought furiously upon the task.

"You can do this you know. It's nothing new to you. Just trying thinking outside your circle." Tra'an Reith remarked. Jai'de turned with a whirl, her amethyst lightsaber snapping into existence as she elevated it and crouched to pounce. With a subtle hiss, he emerged from the ruby glow coloring the Pinnacle.

"Think about what Plagueis needs now. In the past, we needed a Blade to sever us from that which tied us down, thus was born Primus Pilus." Unlimbering his Sapphire Blade, Tra'an Reith placed the tip against the duracrete and scribed a circle into it, before replacing the weapon. Jai'de shifted warily, but waited patiently.

"Now? Now we need a future. We do not forge a weapon to make a future, we teach instead. Thus the Circle, a place of learning, to which even the Master returns for further instruction." His voice faded with a soft hiss, teeth clacking as his snout closed.

Please check out the remainder of our most recent Run-On post here, introducing not only our new Taskmaster Furios Morega but also our introduction to the Circle. A special thank you to Tra'an for helping me get this small fiction piece started! Wouldn't have thought to start it off like this without your help!

What Lies Ahead

Thank you very much to the members of the summit for welcoming me back not only to Clan Plagueis but also back into the Rollmaster role. It's something I'm very passionate about doing and I'm glad I'm able to step back into it after my real life has smoothed out and slowed down. I also want to thank Dracaryis for doing a fantastic job and to congratulate him on his ascension to the Dark Council.

As you all know, there have been some shuffles within the summit and now that I think we're all settled, I want to say how excited I am to work with all of you. (Although I think Furios is already planning my murder after all of the help I've asked him for in the past few days trying to put everything together for you all)

Secrets

As we settle into our new home on Aliso, the Clan has some work ahead to ensure our wiki pages, and fictional points are all lined up. As the Rollmaster, I got to take on a special project to create a wiki page to give you all the information you need to know both regarding the what and the where of the Circle. This was a challenging task that I'm am very grateful for Furios' help on as we had to create not only the physical description of the Circle's location and structure, but also define how the Circle as a battle team functions. Thank you again Furios, I couldn't have gotten this done without your help on it.

You can check out The Circle here.

18 Miles Out

When I stepped back into the Rollmaster's role, one of the first things I did was check in on Drac's previous report to see what he had been working on. I was excited to see him making mention of a competition he was planning to run year long with many smaller competitions to compete in on a monthly basis for the Clan. I decided it would be a great way to keep activity alive within the Clan, especially between larger events like Aftermath that has just recently finished and other DJB-wide events like the Great Jedi Wars. I'm pleased to announce the first series of events in this report. There is a little bit of something for everyone; a puzzle, a fiction competition and a mobile gaming competition. Everyone is welcome to join in, this isn't just for the Circle members. Look for the competitions to open up this coming Friday, November 18th.

Find the competition specifics here.

A Word from our Sponsor…. Furios!

The Circle is going through some pretty intense changes over the past few days and more are well under way. With the release of the Wiki page we’ll be seeing a whole new set of fictional elements for the Battle team as well as the Clan as a whole. Between the competitions prompts that get set up around the asteroid base and the inclusion of it in the Manifest Destiny Run On, I look forward to seeing it develop further as you, the members, write about it.

An important thing I’d like to talk about is unit communication. From the newest apprentice to the oldest elders, everyone should be talking to each other. This club is absolutely meaningless without it. From my stand point, communicating with and engaging new members is the easiest and most sure-fire way to retain them. To the members of the Circle who have not done so yet, please download and join our Telegram chat (I emailed you the link last week). It makes being a part of this club so much more enjoyable and for most of you, will contribute to your next promotion. To the rest of the clan, keep our Telegram chat nice and busy, clean and engaging. Get to know your fellow Plagueians, discuss more topics, and if you recruit a friend, try and get them to join in as soon as you get them signed up. Aside from being imperative to being an active member in this club, it’ll get them that first promotion to Novice. This is to say that I never want to see a recruited member as an Apprentice on my roster for more than a couple of hours. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s important.
