Techiark Transportation Yard, Level 5127
Coruscant, Coruscant System — New Republic Territory
43 ABY
Ce’celia Lathos paced, chewing the nails on her left hand. She attempted to keep her right arm hanging casually at her side, although it was more than apparent she was keeping it in place to grab her BlasTech DG-29 the instant this thing went sideways.
Esen Dulle was not about to let this thing go sideways, not when she had been ordered to watch over these people. The other details and all the debating on whether it was feasible to even try in the first place were irrelevant to her, chatter over her head from superiors: the Shadows’ little game at the Bank of Coruscant on Level 1207 had impressed a fair number of the Brotherhood. Stealing from the Bank of Coruscant was no small feat, and killing such capable individuals would have been a waste of talent. While some had protested it, a more peaceful decision was made.
Those who had protested had run off to make sure any Shadows that didn’t agree to a peaceful conclusion were eliminated. There were limits to the mercy the Brotherhood could show. But that troubling churn in her gut, like so many, was kept behind Esen's calm mask, her pink face steely yet serene, her stance militant and ready as she stood at attention to defend or provide aid to these people as necessary.
As ordered.
