Lords and Ladies!

Through another flurry of change over the past month, we have seen a huge shift in the leadership of Clan Plagueis. Welcoming Teylas as our new Dread Lord with Selika as his Wrath rounds out our clan Summit again. I'm happy to be working with both of them to ensure we continue to see high levels of activity and participation throughout the Clan.

Rounding out our House Summits, we welcome Dracaryis as Left Wing of Dread with Kelly Mendes as his Blade and joining Callus as his aedile, Athrun Zala. Congratulations to you all on your promotions! We're excited to see what you all bring to the Clan and what exciting things you have planned!

The Last Hero

Through all of these promotions and changes, the Summit has been in discussions regarding what to do with our Battleteams. The purpose behind our battleteams has always been to welcome our new members and give them a focused and detailed introduction to the clan and the club as a whole. It also allowed us to training the future leaders of the clan by giving them a small group of members to dedicate their time to helping and assisting through the ranks. Our recent promotions have shown the success of at least part of that plan but sadly with so much movement throughout the Battleteam leaders, the battleteams themselves have suffered a little without that consistent devoted attention.

To assist the office of the Rollmaster, we've made a decision to have the House Summit take a more direct role in the leadership and development of our new members. Working closely with me, we will work to ensure that these new members are welcomed and introduced fully to the DJB so as to ensure we encourage active participation right from the get-go with our new members.

What does that mean for the battleteams themselves? Well we're still kicking around ideas on that front and I hope to have an update on that for you all ASAP. In the meantime, they'll continue to function as is. For any who are interested in a Battleteam leader position, please forward your application to me by September 30, 2015. Please include a brief description of yourself, what you'd like to accomplish personally and as a clan within the DJB, and why you believe you're the best person for the job.

Small Gods

In the past month, we've hit the back to school slumps. Everyone has been busy either prepping themselves or their kids to head back to school. We haven't seen a whole lot in the department of promotions however, we did still manage to see a few!

Promotions:

  • To Novice: Rus Pendragon of Apostles of Syn, House Karness Muur and Rothdross of Disciples of Dreypa, House Ajunta Pall We also saw our very own former Dread Lord Extraordindaire Vivackus achieve the much deserved promotion to Warlord.

Congratulations to you all on your promotions and keep working hard towards those next ranks! As always, the battleteam leaders, house leadership and clan leadership are here to help you reach those goals, so let us know if we can help with anything!

Awards:

  • Dark Cross: Deminius, Callidous Zolica and Tharess Crestar of Apostles of Syn, Ks'zet of House Karness Muur, Tra'an Reith di Plagia of House Ajunta Pall
  • Anteian Cross: Silent of House Karness Muur
  • Steel Cross: Ks'zet of House Karness Muur, and Kelly Mendes of House Ajunta Pall

We also had a wonderful recommendation written for our very own Selika Roh by Grandmaster Pravus, awarding him an Amethyst Kukri. You can read all the wonderful things said right here.

A HUGE congratulations to all of you for how hard you worked!

cheers

As usual in my reports, I've updated our clan rank breakdown, not only to reflect the changes we've seen but also to update the ranks to the new titles. We've seen some movement throughout our ranks but the biggest adjustment has been to the rank titles. We've also welcome our very first non-force user in Toby Matterburn!

Raising Steam

Throughout the leadership shuffle amongst the clan, our Summit has continued to work on our upcoming clan event. We're hoping to have more information for you all shortly and to hopefully start the event soon!

With that being said, until the competition has officially started, there are lots of competitions to participate in not just at the clan level, but throughout the DJB.

Thief of Time

It's been a quiet month, with so many people heading back to school or buckling down at work and settling back into the school routines and as such has been a relatively inactive time for us all. We're hoping with the changes we're making and the competitions that we've announced that we'll start to see activity pick up. And we all know we're getting excited for the various Star Wars games, and the new movie that are getting nearer!

TL;DR
  • Look at all those new faces!
  • Some major shinies given out!
  • More Pie?!?
  • Another clan event? Moar Competitions!
  • School is a time thief!

Alright! More work for me! Mmmmm...pie.

Ok, someone beat our rolemaster for using a star trek photo on an official star wars club announcement.

Congratulations to all the promos, shinys, and position acquired.

As for battleteams, I think there should be three, one for recruits and two for actual events teams, one specialized in fiction and the other for gaming.

But that's my opinion.....

No one listens to the Chiss anyways lol :p

Get those applications in! I did and it was because of my work as a BTL that I'm now an Aedile also I like the idea of the house summit being involved in a more direct manner. On Brim's idea of 3 battle teams I'm unsure as yes it does create opportunity but it also limits opportunity if you expect your BTLs in the gaming and fiction teams Brim suggested to be good at them. I'm the first to admit I'm not the best or even very good at stuff but it's my ambition and attitude that have helped me. Personally I'd keep it at two teams and I may work on a proposal of what to do with them.
