We’re On Vacation!!!!

So some guy who’s name rhymes with Curios has decided that we should all go on vacation to some planet called Dagobah. Well, it’s kind of a working vacation you might say as there’s plenty of fun events going on. We just wrapped up the first week of 2 and we’re about to start the second week. I mean, how can someone not have fun in a place that looks like this!

Just magical isn’t it? What, swamp isn’t your speed? Who would think that? I have no idea...

He sure looks relaxed on the beach there, doesn’t he? OK, back to serious business. Events like this one are great opportunities for our newer members to get in a lot of competitions in rapid succession with not a lot of time expended. Seriously, the 9 week one events took me a grand total of I think 2 hours. Now some of the events can be a bit tricky, but that’s part of the fun. Make sure once you subscribe that you try and get something in. Doesn’t have to be a winner, but just do your best to finish the event. In a number of circumstances we will, in a sense, give you an “A for Effort” when we’re looking at shinies to award down the line. If you ever need help with a specific type of event, let us know and we’ll be happy to lend what expertise we can.

Update on Forms

Last month I introduced a couple new programs to help us better match masters to students as well as to help me and the houses better engage our new members. Both the new member survey and master survey have netted me good information that will enable me to make some good matches in the near future. As a reminder, you’re not going to get a student unless you fill out the survey (this includes summit folk and our new friends from Tarentum), so if you want a student, get on that ASAP.

Reports and Stuff

• Both Odan-Urr and Taldryan have new Consuls.
• The Fist staff announces the new Brotherhood Gaming League as well as the demise of Pazaak and the addition of Hearthstone
• One of our own becomes a STAR!

Closing Thoughts and MoZ

Well, I just came off what is my biggest local con of the year and I must say I’m a bit exhausted. I also missed a lot of “Sportsball” while nerding off this weekend. I’m a bit of a football (or “handegg” for our across the pond types) fan and I’m quite pleased to see one of my teams still alive in the playoffs. Who you might ask? Well our Moment of Zen will cover that. E A G L E S EAGLES! Keep it evil miei amici!
