Hello everyone,

If I had waited just fifteen minutes, I wouldn't of had to write a supplemental. But here we are!

Artifact Policy

The Artifact Policy has finally been given the go ahead! I spent some time this evening hard-coding the policy into the wiki, so that everyone can take a gander at the transparent requirements surrounding creation, unit/member use, and destruction of artifacts in our system.

You can all read the policy by clicking here, and here are a couple key takeaways:

• Artifacts must not be something previously written into Star Wars canon/Legends continuities, they need to be written for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. This means no Darksaber, Sword of Naga Sadow, Darth Vader's Armour, Lord Momin's helmet, Ancient Jedi Text, etc.
• Artifacts must be unique, there's only going to be one of each added to the system.
• Artifacts must be something that will be of interest to members and drive member engagement.
• Each of the clans will start with 3 artifacts, while individual members will start with none.
  • The only exception to this rule is Evant, because I made it so and he didn't argue with me. :P

Tomorrow, time permitting I will reach out to the Consul and Proconsul of each clan with the Voice so that we can start working on their chosen artifacts, make sure they fit the policy as outlined above, and following final approval by the Grand Master and his deputy will be added to the system.

Weapon Upgrades Are A Go

This news brings me much joy to be able to say: we are going to begin moving forward with implementation of Weapon Upgrades v1. We will start by entering all of the new selectable weapon upgrades into the system in the back-end through a bulk upload by James, and from there will begin switching items over one by one manually, one category at a time until they're all setup with the new upgrades. You won't see anything on the front end immediately, but will eventually notice as you're playing around in your possessions management and the weapons store that the modification aspects have been switched out for upgrades. And the addition of a new, themed store!

Eos Exotic Kyber Bazaar is a lightsaber shop specializing in various lightsaber hilts and a wide array of exotic kyber crystals of varying properties for use in lightsabers.

Once we're done implementing weapon upgrades, lightsabers will be unstocked from Antei Armaments and will appear in the Bazaar alongside over a dozen new item prototypes; lightsaber focusing crystal upgrades (kyber crystals). Each lightsaber prototype will allow a single crystal to be slotted, as added personalization/flavor to a members lightsaber to make a truly unique weapon alongside other lightsaber upgrades. I will explain more about how these crystals will function once they are implemented. A small shout-out to Creon for suggesting these crystals a while back, and a shout out to both Slagar and Teebu for doing most of the conceptualizing and work on the new store's image.

The inclusion of this store means that there may eventually (his words) be a special lightsaber or lightsaber type that Evant requests be added to this store, opening up a whole swath of new possibilities.

As my first calendar year comes to a close and 2022 rears its ugly head, I wanted to take a quick moment (which I should of done in my report, oh well) to thank my current and former staff for their efforts. I enjoy this job a lot, but working alongside the awesome people that I do continues to be a real blessing. We have our disagreements, but we also have a lot of fun. I also wanted to thank our members, the people we on the Regent Staff and Dark Council serve, for being so patient with this office as we work to bring you new content.
