I'd like to start off by thanking Darkhawk, Remalia, and Quentinshadows for their service to the Shadow Academy over this past six-month term.
With the upcoming term, we will be adjusting the role of the three M:HMs somewhat to reflect the new information accessibility initiatives the office will be working on. If you haven't already check out my introduction report where I lay out the major projects the office will be working on. The knowledge center and DB helpdesk will be the priority for this six month term.
One Magistrate will be a traditional M:HM focused on the Shadow Academy. They will help develop new courses, clean up existing courses and help with grading. I think of this as the "Teaching" Magistrate. If you have ideas on new courses in an area you're passionate about and helping improve the Shadow Academy we want you!
One Magistrate will be in a more public-facing role, helping members find information (especially once we get the DB help desk going) and working on projects related to making club information more accessible. I think of this as the "Research assistant" Magistrate. If you are passionate about helping members, young and old, get plugged in and experiencing all the club has to offer then we want you!
The third magistrate slot will be flexible and either an additional "teacher" or "research assistant" or both, depending on our needs and the applications we receive.

Applications for M:HM will be open until November 29th and will be submitted using the M:HM application google form ONLY. Applications will be reviewed by Turel and Korvy. There is no rank or experience requirement and past and current SA staff are welcome to apply.

Don't be shy, apply! Until next time,
Turel

Do the thing!!! This is where I started in my councilor journey all those…decades…ago…
Come watch me bully Turel.
Come help me bully Turel.
Working as a Professor for few years and as M:HM for two terms, I can say that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences in DJB for me. While the roles have evolved from the times, when I had served in the Shadow Academy, I am sure that it is more than worth your time as it will give you a lot of satisfaction. And working with Turel will be another valuable experience for you. Go apply!
