“Hold fire,” The Inquisitor barked out as the Iron Legion troopers raised their blaster rifles. “I will take care of this one myself.”

The Omwati stared grimly at the Inquisitor as he shifted his blade into a guard position, his large eyes unblinking. The Inquisitor smiled as he moved forward, resting his scarlet blade against the Omwati’s lightsaber.

“You are brave, Omwati,” The Inquisitor said after a pause. “Brave… or foolish. If I were you, I would be running far away from here.”

“That is the difference between us,” The Omwati replied, his voice a high musical tone. “I would be betraying my oath as a Jedi if I fled these people.”

“What good is an upheld oath if you are dead?” The Inquisitor chuckled softly. “Their fate is the same regardless if you run or fight.”

“You may be able to live with yourself if you ran,” The Jedi retorted. “I prefer not to.”

The Inquisitor stood silent as he stared piercingly at the Omwati Jedi. After a long moment, he nodded slightly.

“Very well. If death is what you seek, then you can have it.”

Welcome to the fourth edition of the Tal’mahe’Ra Report, this time with fancy headers! My humble thanks to the hard-working Herald staff for their efforts in creating them!

The main focus of this month is, of course, Sins of the Past - Episode Two! If you haven’t participated already, I highly encourage you to as its fictional events will be central to our Clan’s direction moving forward. Our own BT’s focus will be returning to our own storyline very quickly as we begin to arrive on Eldar to deal with the Inquisitorius, whom have been on the rampage, taking advantage of the chaos within the Clan.

Soon, they will taste blood as we repay them in kind for their deeds...

[Arcona] Sins of the Past- Episode Two: Attack of the Clone

Episode Two of Sins of the Past is entering its final week, so there’s still ample time to participate and help guide the course of our Clan! There’s light events from a crossword puzzle and a flash game, to graphics, and fiction- of which you could potentially chart our Clan’s course! So step up and have fun!

Note: If you want to participate in the ACC race, you have until August 1st to sign up for a match! After that, it can’t be requested.

Mord asks: So, what's Zakath's relationship with Tamashi? how does he view him?

• Zakath views Tamashi as a competent and loyal warrior, although just a touch too rigid with regard to the views Tamashi holds on honor. Zakath has a looser grasp of honor and loyalty, as he’s loyal to the Clan, but is willing to do anything to accomplish its goals, without any traditions holding him back, unlike how he views Tamashi.

Skar asks: Does Zakath have any plans for dealing with Teroch’s attack on Arcona’s territory?

• If Zakath had his way, Teroch dies. No more, no less.

Zujenia asks: #askZakath what is your opinion of this Larrick fella?

• He’s a drug addicted cretin. That being said, he is capable, and has come in useful on many occasions. He bears watching, but his skills are useful to the Clan. Use him, but don’t take your eyes off him.

Rins’zler asks: #askZakath when can we go hunt the pesky inquistory people?

• We deal with Teroch first. The Inquisitorius’ time will come soon enough. Any who dare attack Arcona will die.

Rins’zler asks: #askZakath which faction do we fall under as a BT and a consensus?

• As a whole, the Tal’mahe’Ra falls under Uji’s Operative faction, using whatever means necessary to secure the Clan against any threats to it, and will be used as such. Of course each TMR member has their own faction that is independent of the TMR as a whole.

Xenna asks: #askZakath can we pull Energy Vampires from Legends and sick them on everyone?

• I have no idea what Energy Vampires are. Therefore, no.

Xenna asks: #askZakath why haven't you destroyed the sun yet?

• I told you already, talk to Braecen. Destroying the sun is an Elder-level task, I’m only a EQ3.

Rins’zler asks: #askZakat can TMR get any specialist equipment/weapons assigned to it to aid us carrying out our tasks?

• Right now, it can be assigned on a fictional basis, but that will change when Possessions take effect. We’ll see how that works out when it’s released.

Xenna asks: #askZakath Tamashi, how's the coup planning coming along?

• Tamashi replies: Slowly, with Zakath's attention elsewhere i'm slowly building up my forces - i'll be enlisting a mercenary by the name of Larrik to help me out.

• Zakath replies: Perhaps I need to reassess Tamashi’s loyalty, after all. :P

Skar asks: #askZakath in the case of Skar dying, what would Zakath do?

• If Skar fell by enemy hands, the enemy will die. If Skar dies of natural causes, he will mourn privately. Try not to get killed anytime soon, mm?

Atyiru asks: #askZakath can you explain your characters' loyalties and what faction they may fall into?

• Zakath is loyal to Atyiru and Arcona, and his ruthlessness in dealing with the Clan’s enemies would put him into the Operatives faction, as he will use any methods to ensure the Clan’s security by any means necessary.

• Larrik, on the other hand, is loyal first and foremost to himself. For now, he’s with the Iron Loyalist faction, not because of any loyalty or love of the Grand Master or his ideals, but because it’s a steady source of income, a lot of which is routed elsewhere for personal and private reasons. He’s a selfish and greedy person on the surface, but he has reasons for it that are not yet explained. As his storyline develops, his faction and loyalties may very well change. But for now, he’s loyal to himself and his bank account, and therefore- for now- with the Iron Loyalist faction.

Thorn asks: #AskZakath what if someone in TMR is secretly an Inquisitor/informant/spy?

• Well now, that’ll be an interesting day. If Zakath finds out, the TMR member in question had better be a long ways away from home, otherwise things will become… unpleasant for them.

• OOC: We’ll be more than happy to work with the member in question to make out an adequate storyline that’ll enable TMR membership while working for the INQ/other factions. :)

Atyiru asks: #askZakath what is your favorite breakfast?

• IC: Seared steaks served raw, with a nice spice rub. Yes, I said steaks. Barabels have two stomachs, so it takes a bit to fill us up.

• OOC: Hmm. Probably a ham omelet with some habanero sauce on it. My tastes are actually pretty simple. :)

Xenna asks: #askZakath do you live off gnome tears?

• No. I live off the tears of the Inquisitors whom I torture after capturing them. They are delicious.

Terran asks: How in the world do we pronounce the Battleteam's name?

• I actually have no idea. I assume Nath would have the actual answer, as the name came from her, but I refer to it mentally as Tal-mah-Ra. Whatever it’s actually called, I’ve no clue. :P

Xenna asks: #askZakath why wont Larrik bake me pancakes?

• Have you actually tasted Larrik's cooking? Trust me, you're better off eating out.

Atra asks: #askZakath I have sour ju jubes, want any?

• I'm good. I'm mostly a meat eater, sugar's not very appetizing for me.

BTL’s Thoughts

And so we can close the books on yet another month, my dear friends. All of you have been active in one form or another, communicating on Telegram and email, and in general enjoying our time here, all in all a pleasant month.

For those of you that has noticed that my presence has declined somewhat in the past few weeks, it is because I’ve transferred from night shift to the early morning shift. It’s a radical change that is taking some time to adapt, as I’m all of a sudden waking up at 4 in the morning to be at work by 5am, and working through to 2pm, leaving me wiped out. I’m slowly adapting, but bear with me. <3

I want everyone to have a positive experience here in the Dark Brotherhood, either generating or participating in activities that you like! So if you’re seeing a dearth of activity that you like to participate in, or want to run something that you think would be fun for your fellow members to do, come see me or Tamashi! We’ll be more than happy to work with you to get something set up for you and your fellow members! But we can’t help you if you don’t hit us up!
