Beating the Drum: It's Not Over Yet..

Hey, so do you remember the Dark Crusades? Yeah, I know, they're hard to forget. Taldryan fought hard, kicked some ass, got our asses kicked a couple times, and made me proud for all of its efforts during that mammoth event. Awards were given, titles awarded, and we thought we'd done pretty well and had seen the last of it.

But we were wrong. We've had a few months off from our quest to beat the One Sith into submission, and now the tides of war are rising once again, and my friends, Taldryan will need your arms once more.

While we're still lacking a solid date, towards the end of the month, the DB will be back on a war footing. Details are scarce, but we're not likely to see the scope of other planetary events in the Dark Crusades (but we might... I really don't know).

Either way, I want to see Taldryan continue to kick some ass in the next round. So get your game faces on people... mount up your war pandas or whatever it is you do... The Crusades are coming back.

Looking for Diablo 3 Action?

Recently there has been a surge in gaming activity by members of Taldryan utilizing the Diablo 3 Platform to earn Clusters of Fire and Pendants of Blood. For those of you unaware, D3 is an amazingly efficient way to boost up your GMRG Rank, or knock off some of those pesky Journeymen recommended tasks.

Two of the guys leading the charge in this regard are Mav and Kazmir. They seem to be on a mission to conquer as many demon lords as they possibly can of late, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind adding a few more Tal folks to their teams. If you play D3, or are interested in starting, toss either of those guys a mail and ask em how to get started.

There are More Ways to Earn Clusters of Ice!

In a move that is surely to make our little thrusting amnesiac happy, the Voice has recently announced that you can start earning Clusters of Ice for submitting to Official Voice sanctioned competitions. What this means folks, is you no longer have to earn your CIs from Runons and ACC fights, but you can earn them by writing fiction (for approved comps).

I have a hunch that the CI is going to be growing in importance in coming months, so this is good news for all of us!

Updates to the Twitter Policy

As you all know, I've been pushing Twitter a lot recently, given that it's a relatively cheap and easy way to start pushing the exposure of the DB out there to the social media side of the internet. Recently, the MAA announced that there is going to be a change to the promised rewarding structure for it, which in hindsight is probably extremely necessary.

Regardless Taldryan, I'd really like to continue to see our presence on Twitter keep growing and strengthening. So head on over and keep tweeting all your Star Wars and DB news out there for the interwebs to see!

Open Leadership Positions in the Plagueis/Tarentum

I'm always of two minds when I include these things in my reports, because I hate the idea that anyone from Taldryan would ever leave us, but at the same time, like some sort of weird cloud father, I just want what's best for you guys. So, as Raiju posted, both Plagueis and Tarentum are searching for new Battleteam Leaders. Lots of great things are happening in both of these units, and I'm sure anyone from Tal could offer them a lot, if they were chosen.

Anyone who does wish to apply, if you want to use me as a reference, just let me know, and I'll be more than happy to (but of course I'll be happier if you stay here with me :P)

News From a Galaxy Far Far Away..

So, one of the grand things about having a job where I'm asked to be on social media literally all day, is I get to follow a lot of my favourite Star Wars sites. We had some cool links posted by Shad and Kalen this week, but I just wanted to share a couple other pieces of SW and SW Related News that piqued my interest this week.

RTFR Episode 10 Results, and Episode 11 Details!

So, last week I tried out a new type of RTFR, that hopefully helped familiarize you with (if you weren't alreadY) the wonderful resource that is Wookieepedia. It included a dimmed out photo from a wiki page, and some clues about the person in question you had to track down.

I'd like to congratulate Mav and Shad on their insanely inhuman times to identify Syal Antilles from the picture and clues provided. It was a much closer race between 3-5th, rounding out the top 5 was Halc, Kenath Zoron, and Sithspawn Taldrya.

Thanks to all the entrants, especially Armags, whose treatise as to why General Zod was a better answer made me laugh super hard.
