Time to break out the sunscreen templars, summer has arrived and with it fun comps for the family. We’re kicking the summer off with puzzles for the templar team. Happy to see so much participation and engagement from our templars and our fellow Odan-Urr members. I’ll be adding more competitions in the following weeks, from fiction and graphics to gaming!
Now onto the report:
The sound of a small holoTV echoed in the office of the petite Mandalorian woman as she cleaned her blasters. The sound of the advertisement with intermittent news reports comforting as she went about the business of providing maintenance to all of her weapons and armor. A habit she made to keep everything in order to avoid any malfunctions in the face of danger. The clink of armor and occasional clicking of weapon to table contact made for a gentle symphony, the only audience its composer.
“Welcome back to the nightly news, I’m Gins Nubek. Joined again by my co-host Iza Muvok and a special guest who has been seen protesting the recent spring of robberies within the area. We welcome local safety advocate, Professor Vissika Galanis.”
The sound of the holo seemed to drown out and vanish for a moment, replaced again by the sounds of weapon and armor maintenance. The gentle clicks of weapon chambers being examined, parts being removed, and bristles scraping through non-existent grime.
“I’ve managed to witness one of these men in the act and even captured a hologram of one of them. I urge the public to keep vigilant! Authorities must do something!” complained the Selenian woman, who seemed far more distressed than someone who was a victim of a mere robbery. There was a frantic look in the woman's eyes. Perhaps she felt this was a mistake, or maybe she was keeping herself alive by being in the public eye.
An audible sigh escaped Asani's lips as the news report continued, the reporters urging the public not to put themselves in unnecessary danger which their witness neglected to mention.
Guess we better start snuffing out troublemakers before it gets out of control. The final blaster was set and soon all of the cleaning equipment from brushes to oils were tucked away neatly in their little corner.
Waning activity at the end of the school year and the beginning of summer marked a busy time for many of us. Here’s to improvement. Forge ahead.
