[BEGIN TRANSMISSION RELAY AND REBROADCAST]
A flickering hologram of an indistinguishable figure wrapped from head to toe in cold weather, thermal retention clothing. The high winds tore at the jacket as the figure almost had to shout into the comlink.
“Reporting in from Hoth.” The figure began, “Quaestor Callus Bo’Amar transmitting to members of House Karness Muur on the Anchorage. We have successfully arrived on Hoth and located our objective. We have encountered unexpected…” the quaestor paused to search for the correct word, “challenges in securing it. We may have to extend our time on surface... “ the transmission blinked and crackled “ready to…” the hologram cracked and shuddered again, “Vader’s arti…” The transmission winked out. Then appeared a message from the relay in the shuttle.
[TRANSMISSION CORRUPTED, RECOVERED TEXT FOLLOWS] Bo’Amar: Stay vigilant, just because I’m not there doesn’t mean you get to slack off. I expect to see progress when we get back.

So our seemingly endless barrage of Vendetta is finally over, the dust has settled, and we can all heave a much needed sigh of relief. But not for long. We have some really interesting things going on right now and even better stuff planned in the future. We have two competitions being run by our house right now one a fiction, and the other poetry. Don’t see a lot of poetry competitions anymore so jump on one while you have the chance! I’ll provide more details below. Also our House Run-On the “Hailstorm” is underway and you still have a chance to be a part of it! Just let me and Taranae know you’re interested and we’ll do our best to make it happen. This sort of intermediate time is a great chance to work on your character histories and really flesh out who they are now that this huge war is over. I know I have been writing a ton lately about where I want my character to be. Don’t be afraid to explore and ask for advice if you need it.
I’d just like to take a second and give some shouts to some of the folks that have caught my eye over the last month or so. Firstly our new members. Kryy Vitan (14112) and Vanessa Rhode (14113) who in the about 4 weeks they’ve been here have already soared to the rank of Protector completing some ungodly number of Shadow Academy exams that we will highlight further down. Both are being mentored by rather difficult to please masters but I have no doubt that they will both succeed. I would be remiss if I didn’t welcome back an old time Plagueian, so old he was in Clan Satal Keto with yours truly, he also had the misfortune of having a 14 year old version of me as his Master but that’s another story. Doku Rivendare (4764) and Kelly Mendes (13923) have also ripped through a good number of Shadow Academy exams recently. Finally how could I leave out our resident blue bomber? If you didn’t know by now Brimstone has finally made the jump to Equite 2 after a solid nearly 2 years and a resumé that literally may be 2 feet in length. Congrats you crazy Chiss you!

Firstly to all our Journeymen, WOW, just, WOW. The way you’re blazing through the Shadow Academy is breathtaking. Vanessa, Kryy and Doku - I can’t believe how many courses you’ve crammed into the short time since I began as Aedile of HKM - I’m really impressed! Any new Journeymen need to take note; the SA is a really fantastic way of getting your promotions and learning all the great stuff there is to know about the Star Wars universe and the DJB. Go take them, learn and prosper.
Since I began as Aedile, I’ve seen members come and go. Some were lost to the rogues, more joined from elsewhere. Ebb and flow - it’s what keeps this club going. We like to see new faces, and also to see the old ones still here. If you know anyone who wants to join, please point them our way and they can join you on your path to greatness!
On another note, some members like to game, others to write. If you believe your forté is in writing, then I suggest taking the ACC (Antei Combat Centre) exams in the Shadow Academy, which I will link to at the end of this post. Any gamers may wish to join one of the guilds in ToR or Diablo III. If so, take a look at the gaming wiki for how to join. There is also pazaak and Jedi Academy for duelling matches. Both are good for gaining Clusters of Fire - another good way of getting points towards a promotion, while writing offers Clusters of Ice for the same reasons. Right now I believe 500 words is equal to one Cluster.
As a closing note, I would like to congratulate all on their efforts thus far, both in the Great Jedi War, where our participation was amazing, and also on promotions and shinies. Keep up the great work, Karness Muur; and as you know, the best things come to those who work hard :p
