Roleplaying Cluster Clarification

Hello Everyone,

After some discussion with our wonderful Exarch, I have updated the language on the Cluster of Ice policy for roleplaying. It was decided that “A log of the session must be supplied with the request along with the individual PINS and word counts already tallied by the submitting party.” was too vague and easy to misinterpret as to what is expected. All RP sessions should involve participation from more than one individual to qualify for Clusters.

The updated policy is as follows:

A text-based roleplaying session is conducted on the club’s Discord server. Utilizing the bot and policies set by the Exarch, Clusters of Ice can be manually awarded for every 500 words contributed to a text-based roleplaying session. These sessions must still utilize the member’s character sheets, and stay relevant to the DB universe. A log of the session must be supplied with the request along with the individual PINS and word counts already tallied by the submitting party. Only sessions that involve participation from more than one person qualify for Clusters. Sessions should be run to their completion prior to submitting for Clusters. Requests for clusters should be sent to the Voice Staff mailing list for verification, approval, and processing.

If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to reach out to myself or Arch.

Good update, closes potential loopholes

Requests for clusters should be sent to the Voice Staff mailing list for verification, approval, and processing.

Just in case anyone was thinking "Wait, I thought the bot did that," you're half right. The bot spits out everything required and pings me, and I send the email and CC organizers. I guess you could email the Voice staff yourself if you really wanted to, but so far this system has been working well.

Arch does the hard bits and has to talk to me so y'all don't need to. Appreciate that sacrifice. XD

Makes perfect sense. Great update to reflect the current bot process.

Nice update

Makes sense. Most excellent.

Great update!
