Voice Supplemental #2.2: GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

Voice Header

CS System Operational:

Thanks to the diligent work of our Seneschal, the Character Sheet System has been repaired. There was an error where Lore Topics and Languages were not saving, causing errors when editing and uploading sheets for update. We attempted to suss out options to bypass this matter until it could be corrected, but were unsuccessful. Thankfully, James was able to correct it and restore the recently affected sheets. If you have a sheet that was affected by this still, please double-check and fire it back to us and we'll send you on your merry way!

Custom Disciplines:

Now that the CS System is back online, we've caught up the slight backlog of Custom Disciplines. Apologies for the delay.

New Feats:

Over the last week or so, we've gotten a few requests for new feats. While we weren't able to approve all of these, they did spark discussions that led to some new feats. The first Feats on deck are centered around Stealth:

Apex Stalker (Chosen Skill Feat)

Like a predator in the dark forests of Dxun, {{member}} thrives on unseen pursuit. When stalking targets from concealment and remaining unseen, they can inflict a sense of fear, uncertainty, as {{gender:his, her, its, their}} unseen presence erodes the resolve of those aware they are being hunted.

Related Skills/Powers: Stealth

Requirements: Rank Tier: Journeyman

Environmental Camouflage (Chosen Skill Feat)

Through extensive survival training, {{member}} has learned how to use terrain, foliage, and natural features to disappear into the environment around them. {{member}} can use their Survival Skill in place of {{gender:his, her, its, their}} Stealth Skill.

Related Skills/Powers: Survival

Requirements: N/A

And the final is an additional Feat for Nightsister Magick skill, Ichor!

Poor Man's Poison (Chosen Force Feat)

"All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; only the dose permits something not to be poisonous." Through cultivation and manipulation of Ichor {{member}} has learned what concentrations may be beneficial or undoubtedly lethal. {{gender:his, her, its, their}} brews have the ability to either help or harm, but cannot do both simultaneously.

Related Skills/Powers: Ichor

Requirements: Rank Tier: Journeyman, Force Sensitive, Ichor Force Power.

Upcoming Projects:

Normally, I don't comment on projects until they are close to launch, but these are relatively easy and will be quick releases once I have updated policy and relevant pages surrounding them. Expect a future report regarding these.

Languages are getting a slight shake-up. This is nothing major, but a matter of housecleaning. There are many more languages in Star Wars than we host in the DJB Wiki, and limiting our members to those in our wiki is a headache. We're going to shift to a best practice of checking against the Wookieepedia for languages. Those of you who want to speak obscure languages or who come from planets or cultures of species who are not yet approved Species for play, rejoice, you'll be able to speak the language as long as it is on the Wookieepedia.

Hybrid Policy, after discussions in Fiction Chat last night, I agree that this needs a revisit. This is going to take a little while longer to address, as it means we have to verify and better categorize the various species we have in play, as well as how we will word policy. You have made fair arguments for allowing more than Humans/Near-Humans to be hybrids, opening it up to Matching Species Groups (such as Near-Human, Canid, Felid, Avian, Amphibian, etc.) and I would rather give you the option to play with that, with clear rules, instead of nebulous ones.
