Voice Supplemental #3.3: BUT WAIT! There's more (Species)!

Voice Header

Today's a big one:

So, I've had a few requests, some questions, and one of our vocal favorites even sent in a proposal (Hi Bograt)! Some of this led to discussions about why we're missing some staple species, some led to laughter as we realized we didn't already implement them, consideration of old rules (more on this below), and last and certainly not least, a proposal was accepted. I'll link to each species' Character Sheet Reference entry from their images below (each species has also been updated in the wiki for those of you who prefer to stare at that long list), as well as give some snippy commentary. That said, enjoy our five new species, everyone.

Aqualish:

Ever wanted to be a spider? Me neither, but, with their recent prevalence in media, we're giving these arachnids a little love. Maybe Evara can find love in the Galaxy after all (then again, black widows kill their mates, right).

Arcona

Like the taste of salt? Like, really, really, really like the taste of salt? These might be the folks for you! The Arcona are a reptilian race with triangular heads, and a unique way of perceiving the world around them.

Bith

Do you like jazz? What about seedy cantinas? You may remember these guys from such hits as "Mad About Me" (which even has an Arcona pop up in the first few moments) or even their lesser known hit! Bith are a unique species with a predisposition towards music and engineering across the Galaxy.

Diathim

Do you look like an angel? No? Would you like to!?
After some discussion and agreement after previously opening up the character limbs rule, we've decided that Wings will no longer be a discriminator when approving new character species. Flight for such characters will be treated as if sprinting or swimming and accordingly measured using the Stamina skill.

Gen'Dai

Do you like tanks, but wish they were a lot more squishy? Here you go! The Gen'Dai are a mass of regenerative tentacles, wrapped in a bodysuit or armor (to maintain a humanoid shape) with the capability to survive for a time in vaccum.
