Voice Supplemental: Now Hiring!

Voice Header

The Ring in Return:

It's been pretty quiet behind the scenes these last few weeks in the Office of the Voice of the Brotherhood, as we review and revisit some proposals and popular talking points. The office mascots have been taking some time due to a variety of "life", and our lovely Combat Master has taken the opportunity to launch the ongoing ACC Championship. With life and honor on the line, I made a quick decision to let September's Lorefest slide by; don't worry, though, it'll be back next month for some spooky shenanigans.

Magistrate of Mercy:

It's that time again.

Tisto Kingangst will be transitioning out of my office come the end of the month as his Magistrate term comes to an end, and I'll be opening the doors for another to take his place. Tisto has been a steady member of our team, working readily on background projects and offering unique insight and an adversarial voice when others may not have, across a variety of discussions as we've reviewed our proposals over the last few months.

Applications for M:Voice will be open through 30SEPT2026

I don't have any major prerequisites for working in my office. Rank, position, experience, all of these things can be earned over time. The expectations I have of anyone seeking to work in our office, however, are an open mind, patience, and an interest in helping others. You'll find yourself putting each one of those traits to the test every day in the Voice's team.

The Duties of M:Voice vary based on project load, but at a baseline consist of:

  • Processing Character Sheets for Approval/Remand
  • Processing Competitions for Approval/Remand
  • Reviewing Proposals (Feats, Species, etc.) delivered through the Voice Mailer for integration
  • Reviewing and Integrating Custom Discipline Requests
  • Workshopping various projects, updates, and adjustments to the Character Sheet Related Systems
  • Working on loan with our Combat Master during keynote events/updates
  • Community Relations/Outreach: People ask a lot of questions in Fiction Chat; our job is to answer them and be chatty
  • Assisting with Community Events: Running or assisting others in running fiction-centered competitions, including [Lorefest]

If you believe yourself capable of handling these tasks, shoot me an email @ [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and include a summary of who you are, your DJB PIN (so I can find you if you change your names in the next 10 days), and detail why you're interested in this position, relevant experiences, and your thoughts and ideas about the systems and operations behind our fiction systems within the Brotherhood.
