You step out onto the training field and squint momentarily as the sunlight hits your face. When your eyes adjust, you look around you and see the trappings common to military campuses - stout buildings with fluttering flags, a paved parade square, and heavily armed battlements. The training field itself is meticulously maintained grass that could easily act as a landing field for dozens of fighters and transports. The horizon is clear of all but trees and the ominous weapons turrets that ring the walls.

The cadets of the Taldryan Military Institute see you, tensing to attention as they notice your battle armour. They are hurriedly ordered off the field by their officers and rush into the safety of the closest buildings. You see the guards in the battlements re-direct their attention from the exterior of the campus to you, but they know not to interfere in the affairs of Jedi.

Without the bustle of the cadets and the barked orders of their officers, the air grows still and even the sounds of animals quiets. You walk to the center of the training field and wait for your opponent

A smile crept across the lips of the Consul, the cadets and their trainers might know to not interfere with the affairs of two Dark Jedi, but still he was sure they would be crowding the windows as soon as they enter their barracks, watching the things to come with huge interest. But who was he to blame them for being interested in such an event, he could already tell the first heads popping up behind the windows. "Isn't it funny Aiden?" The Consul said at the sound of boots raping over the permacrete surface behind him. "They are not that much different from us, but still some of them even worship us."

"Well my lord, from what I have learned there is a huge difference between them and us. We can access the Powers of the Force, bend it's will for our own purpose, that is something they can do not." Aiden Dru hesitated for a moment. "Lord Taldrya, in all honesty, I don't think you have invited me here to discuss philosophies."

"We all serve a purpose, and without them we would eventually struggle or even fail to achieve ours." He said turning to the recently appointed Aedile of Ektrosis. "A wise man once told me that every man could lead others into war, but only those who spend the same sweat and blood as them will have their trust while doing so. But you are right, as in my message, I requested your presence here to test your mettle and thus give them a nice show, so let's show them something beyond their wildest imagination."

By the last words, the Consul turned to face the younger human male, the amusement written onto his pale blue skinned face only seconds earlier now replaced by grim determination.
