The Vertical City. Nar Shaddaa. They call it the Smuggler's Moon—an apt description based on the myriad of sentients shuffling back and forth with their illegal wares and hidden weapons. The narrow streets below you criss-cross endlessly, soaring miles above the planet's surface. Exposed and uncovered, the streets offer a nearly perfect setting for someone with some skills with ranged weapons. Your own vantage point, standing on the ledge of a towering structure of glass and steel, offers you a dizzying view of the cityscape.

Your eyes scan the distance for enemies. Snipers could be set up in almost every building. The streets are plagued with violent gangs and the general riff raff of the poor and destitute. The streets may be an ideal place for blasters, but the winding streets are difficult to disappear from. An opponent would be easily boxed in and simple to finish with a few quick slashes of a lightsaber. The moon is dangerous—even for a Jedi.

High pitched buzzing surrounded the Templar as he looked down from a platform above his targets complex. The ambiance of Nar Shaddaa was obnoxiously loud even in the latest of hours. Crime and violence mixed into a cacophony of incessant noise. Voices carried through the winding crowds over the metallic din of droids shuffling and the whiz of air from speeder darting around. The complex he was monitoring belonged to a prominent smuggler named Aldren Drex, a native of Nar Shaddaa who had worked alongside S.C.E.P.T.R.E for some time. Drex had been smuggling supplies to and from Arconan space until recently, selling information of the more prominent smuggling routes to an unsavory band of pirates that had forced Arconan interests to intercede.

In response, a contract had been put forth from S.C.E.P.T.R.E to seek out and deal with the errant smuggler and his small cartel. Uji found himself regretting the decision to deal with the issue on behalf of Galeres. Nar Shaddaa reminded him of Coruscant, only they were the the worst aspects of his homeworld with none of the redeeming qualities.

The Templar sighed for a moment before removing his dervish cloak, bunch it into a bundle and placing it with the rest of his gear. His remaining gear consisted of little more than his robes bound tightly to his ankles and wrists to minimize the movement of his trappings, the lightsaber at his side was wrapped to avoid any reflection of light yet with a press of the activation switch would be readily accessible. Stashing the rest of his travel gear inside of a nearby trash receptacle to pick up later, he began his descent from the upper levels towards the complex.

The structure was made up of four apartment levels, individual rooms, common areas and bathes. By estimation the Smuggler maintained a large area for his cartel, thirty to forty low lifes, cons and guards. Primarily toughs from the local neighborhoods. Uji instinctively cloaked himself in the Force, disappearing except for the slight shimmer of movement as he walked above the concourse leading into the structure. His eyes scanned for threats, spotting several lookouts but nothing immediately dangerous.

Dropping from the concourse Uji drew on the Force to first propel himself close enough to the building and then willing it to slow his descent and muffle the sound of impact. The Templar landed quietly and rolled nimbly back to his feet. From the edge of the roof it was a short drop to the first set of balconies and his entrance to the building. Stepping into the first room he realized quickly he wasn’t the first one here, a decapitated body lay just inside the entrance of the bathe the characteristic searing of a Lightsaber had made the cut clean and silent.

*“And here I assumed I could take my time… If its a race then lets see who makes it there first.” *Uji mused as he unwrapped his own Lightsaber and began making his way into the building, reaching out to try and sense his opposition through the Force.
