Savannah

When you are traversing the wild and untouched landscapes of the savannah, just remind yourself that you are never the apex predator. The vast and desolate area of sand, rocks, dead and ancient trees are all the same blood-orange color for a simple reason: to hide your worst nightmare from your sight, the Akul. A large, bipedal and orange furred mammal, the Akul are the top predators that hunt all sorts of bovine, dog, hooved and giant mammals. Using their extraordinary sense of smell, they can trace your scent from days long past and track you down without mercy.

Savannah

Throughout the Savannah, tall and wispy Turu-grass stretches out into long ranging fields. Watering holes are sparse and spread thin, and the terrain offers little safety from the blazing sun that hangs overhead. When the sun retreats and gives way to moonlight, the Savannah becomes almost chill, but the night is dark and full of wild creatures. In the Savannah, it’s hunt or be hunted.

Lucyeth walked among the tall grasses that protruded from the ground and up over his head. The Palatinaean wiped the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand from his own exhaustion due to the heat. The extreme heat of the savannah buffeted the Battlemaster from the moment he walked off his ship. The scorching sun beat down with no mercy on the lone Sith in the maze of grass. The better option would have been to move during the night when the sun is not high in the sky but Lucyeth thought differently about the potential alternative on account that he was unfamiliar with the planet. The Palatinaean was not an idiot to think he was the only sentient life out in this dreaded ecosystem but that didn’t mean he had any desire to meet anything either. The Battlemaster continued to bushwhack his way through the savannah grass. The wall of grassy fauna broke into a clearing where a tree towered over the expansive landscape. The Sith picked his head up with the high hopes of something else to look forward to. Lucyeth emerged out of the grass and in front of him was a clearing with a watering hole. The Palatinaean had hoped for civilization but water for his own hydration will work out just fine. The Battlemaster bent over with delight to quench his much needed thirst as he eagerly drank for a mere second before a snarl came from within the thick of the grass. A large bi-pedaled predator gazed upon the Sith, its slow advance toward Lucyeth along with its sharp teeth bared suggested a challenge. The Palatinaean crept into a defensive stance with a cold stare, his hand slowly reached for his weapon.

''C’mon you savage, I can be just as savage as you. Let’s get to business,'' Lucyeth urged his thoughts in his own head. The beast suddenly heeled in front of the watering hole with an abrupt change in its demeanor. The creature was almost calm or at peace, no longer presenting the desire to fight. The battlemaster felt it as well but it was that calm presence that a Sith would only feel with proximity to a…

The feeling of annoyance was stopped short when a large built man with white hair and a burly beard entered the clearing. Lucyeth answered his own thoughts as he stared at the Jedi before him with anger. What would a Jedi be doing out in the middle of a savannah anyway? The Palatinaean reacted on instinct as his hand dropped to his lightsaber, waiting for what was to inevitably start.
