Nal Hutta Winter Palace

Seated within the Glorious Jewel of the Hutts, the Winter Palace is situated on a remote island near the planet’s equator. Although blanketed with the pollution from Hutt industry, its location makes the climate hot and humid. Surrounded with trees and vines, it could be considered to be a paradise, even among the barren wasteland of Nal Hutta. Outside of the Winter Palace, a network of sewer pipes transfer the waste from the palace to wherever seems far enough to dump into the oceans surrounding the island. Flora and fauna that have adapted to the Hutt’s environmental changes thrive in the polluted forests surrounding the Winter Palace.

Stepping through its gilded gates, the lavish interior serves as the main audience chamber. Once belonging to the wealth of Jiliac Desilijic Tiron, the gleaming stone of the main aisle leads up to a Hutt’s dais lined with an expensive carpet. Beautiful tapestries line the high walls, telling of the sordid histories of those who woven them, awaiting execution in Jiliac’s dungeons.

Finally, the antechamber to the "throne" room is illuminated from above with high-skylighted ceilings. Constructed from lightly colored stone, the antechamber might have been where the late Hutt entertained his guests before an audience with spice and exotic dancers. In the hands of the Hutt Kajidics, however, these traditions have continued as the Winter Palace now serves as a front for criminal and business ventures that come and go.

Alethia and Lavanth took their seats. They were currently guests of the hosting Hutt. After this dinner they were going to discuss deals of merchandise with the Hutt. Only two others were at their table. A large and lengthy table sat in the middle of the dining hall with smaller tables for the guests to sit at.. Food was piled upon the center table and more continuously came from the kitchen. Alethia sat in silence while thinking of what they could offer in return for the weapons and supplies they would be getting. Lavanth for the most part seemed to be talking with the other patrons and Doc. Doc wasn’t exactly pleased with what food he took.

“Hey kid what is this stuff?” Doc asked raising a spoon filled with some sort of glob atop it. The Togruta shrugged at it. For the most part Lavanth was only used to MRE meals, due to the isolation so this was quite enjoyable to him.

“Bet it flies well.” Doc smirked as the glob left his spoon. The young Hunter watched in horror as the chunk flew through the air and smacked another guest in the face on the other half of the room. The Major stared coldly at the Techweaver, who in response dropped the spoon and raised his hands slightly. What was he thinking?

“Are you an idiot?” She hissed at Lavanth. He only launghed until a returned shot landed in his mouth. The people on the other side laughed as he fell over in his chair. Even Alethia’s mouth gave a slight smile but quickly turned back to her straight face. Lavanth spat out what landed in his mouth. Two things were certain: One, that tasted terrible and Two, that meant war. The Hunter crawled over to the table and took a few rolls.

“You might want to get ready, mam” Lavanth suggested as he rested on his knees. She again shot him a look, which he promptly ignored. Rolls were hurled across the room, but failed to connect with the other guests on the other side of the room. Glasses though were knocked over. Everyone looked to see what happened. As they looked they caught one final hunk of bread soaring through the air and missing the target. Everyone took a moment to look at each other and unanimously shouted at the same time, “FOOD FIGHT!”

All small guest tables were flipped over for cover. Alethia was glad that theirs was in the corner. As such they didn’t have to worry about attacks coming from behind. Lavanth and the other people that their table rushed to the center table and took as much as they could and rushed back to cover. Sausage links hit the table as they ducked behind it.

“This is so much fun!” Doc shouted throwing various fruits over the table. Heavy fire started to come from the right. Two tables had joined up and started to target them. The people left of them had more ammo but were too focused on the conjoined tables to pay any attention to them. Lavanth handed the Major a long loaf of bread.

“When I say go, charge over there. I’ll cover you.” Lavanth shouted over the noise.

“And how do you plan to do that?” She questioned holding the bread like her blade. The crust was hard and solid making it much easier to wield.

“GO!” Lavanth shouted, ignoring her question. The human took a second to hesitate then rushed forth at the nearby table. Tables targeted her, She saw food fly at her then stop in mid air. She smiled again only for a second. Lavanth delivered as promised. She leaped over the table, bread in front of her like she would a sword.

“Hello, I’ll be taking your table now.” She announced to the surprised figures.

"Get down, you fools!" she hissed, pressing the bread into the Weequay's clavicle so firmly that small crumbs trickled down his shirt. Her stunned victims, the Weequay and a similarly beefy Nikto, obliged and the the three hunched behind the cover of the table as various substances - Alethia hoped they were all food - arced back and forth overhead.

"That idiot!" the Major growled, tapping the baguette against her open palm in frustration. "It tooks weeks for us to get an audience arranged and he's ruined the entire operation." She fumed, turning her steely blue gaze to the two leathery beings she'd taken hostage. "No doubt he's ruined your business here, too. You seem like proud, strong creatures. I won't stand for this sort of ruinous imbecility, and neither should you." Alethia's eyes narrowed. "We will teach him that insubordination and insolence have consequences."

She grew concerned as she stared into the dull eyes of her new comrades. "You don't speak a word of Basic, do you?" The pair milled about awkwardly, and Archenksova cursed that she hadn't picked up better Huttese during her days as a field agent. Well, I guess I'll just have to lead by example.

Alethia peered over the edge of the table to check on Lavanth, then ducked her head back behind cover and turned to her companions. "Grab! Push!" she grunted, tapping on the legs of the table. They seemed to get the message, and as she leaned shoulder-first into the table and started to push, the pair joined in. After some initial scraping and shaking, the trio was able to push the table along at a pretty good clip, heading straight for Lavanth.

Archenksova shifted her weight and vaulted up to the top of the table, kicking a few scattered dishes off so that she could set herself up in a firm combat stance. Slicing through the air with her breadsaber, she pointed at her Togruta prey. "Charge!"
