Competition: Build-A-NPC: "The Scoundrel"

“Boys, you're both gonna get what I promised. Have I ever not delivered for you before?”

Scoundrels sit at the heart of a Galaxy that often writes them off. In truth, there is no one in the Galaxy that has seen or experienced as much, making them invaluable despite their tendency to look out for themselves. A citizen doesn’t want their kid to marry and run off with one, but they understand the important role that a Scoundrel can play in getting things done.

Scoundrels gain:

• Fly Casual, which grants a bonus to Subterfuge
• Intergalactic, a unique Ability for Scoundrels

The Competition

Han Solo. Hondo Ohnaka. Lando Calrissian. Icons and legends of the Star Wars universe. This is your chance to create one such character as an NPC for the Brotherhood. This character will be used by the Combat Master to create a Discipline Focus article like this one

I've created an NPC Template that you can use to create your very own "Scoundrel". You are welcome to make your own, but ultimately, this template contains the things I'm looking for in creating an NPC character that will serve as the DB's example of the Scoundrel discipline.

• For design purposes, this character will be set at: Gray Path/Mercenary/Equite 2
• The Character Creation Guide will also serve as a useful tool for creating your NPC.
• Character Art is not required, but feel free to include a reference image if you're not able to draw one yourself.

Keep in mind that this character will be an NPC for the brotherhood. It's okay if they have some kind of tie to your character, but for the best results, I'd recommend making them work as assigned to the Dark Council/Voice/CM Staff. How To Use The Template

Step 1: Open the Google Document share link.

Step 2: Go to "File" -> "Make a copy"

Step 3: Rename your copy to what you desire.

Step 4: Fill in the template.

Submitting

For the ease of the grader and for presentation purposes, entries should be submitted as PDF file. I will still accept entries in any other text document format such .doc or .txt or .rtf, or even a Google Docs share link if that is your only way of entering a submission.

To save the template as a PDF:

In the Google Document, go to: "File" -> "Download as" -> "PDF Document (.pdf)"

Grading

• Entries will be graded on completion, syntax, and the quality of the writing used to create an interesting and well thought out character.

• The winning entry will ultimately be subject to what I think would work best as an example NPC for the Brotherhood.

• The winning Character entry will be featured in a Discipline Focus article on the main page.
