Competition: The Perfect Brawl

Prompt:

Every character exists for the moments which define them. Whether this is an ambassador turning a million worlds towards the right path, or an engineer accomplishing an impossible task, each is defined by a few exceptional actions for which they will be remembered. With soldiers, warriors and marauders, this often comes down to their capacity to defeat if not completely destroy others in battle.

Your task is to write the best melee possible to reflect your characters skills. Show what they are capable of when everything perfectly falls into place and the sort of battle they can fight when they are at the top of their game. This can be against any number of opponents, in any situation or on any world. They can wield any weapon they wish, even ships of war, and command any number of troops. Consider it an opportunity to write the ultimate introduction to your character and to show off just why they are an effective member of the Brotherhood.

• Clusters of Ice will be rewarded as standard, and will scale with the length of the piece.
• Each entry must have a minimum of five hundred words.
• Entries will be graded as a whole using the Voice Fiction Rubric.
