SRI Research Project #2: Multi-Objective Fiction Prompt

SRI Project #2 - Fiction

Despite what he thought was careful planning Justinios Drake’s attempt to solidify the footing of the Sphere of Research and Intelligence with the recruitment of Kagu Shi into the role of Supreme Direct has failed. With the Imperial scientist turned crime lord now dead, the SRI races against Chyron’s other criminal syndicates to acquire the remains of Shi’s crumbling infrastructure.

Field agents have located a facility that they believe houses a veritable treasure trove of advanced scientific equipment. A former lieutenant of the now deceased Shi has continued to run the facility independently and resisted both diplomatic and armed attempts by multiple entities. You have been tasked with acquiring the scientific assets of this facility. The physical location is unimportant to the operations of the SRI but the equipment and personnel within must be brought into the SRI so that it can begin its research mission.

The facility in question is deep within a poor but highly populated area of the Dark Sector on Chyron. Reports from field agents indicate that the location's defenses are likely substantial. Troops armed with heavy repeating blasters can be seen guarding all entrances and, although we have no specific intelligence regarding the internal defenses, it is safe to prepare for heavy resistance.

Multi-Prompt

  • Prompt #1 (Positive Morality): Any fighting is minimized and is only in self-defense. Killing is only done in the heat of battle but is avoided if at all possible. You may not acquire as much of the facility’s assets in the end but the entire operation is more likely to go unnoticed by outside forces within the star system.

  • Prompt #2 (Negative Morality): You choose to acquire as much of the facility’s resources and personnel as possible, regardless of the damage done. All actions and activities are available to you and you care little for the consequences of your actions even if other parties within the star system become aware of what took place.

For both prompts remember that Rian has standing orders that no evidence can be left linking any activities of Force Users back to Taldryan. Incorporate this fact into your stories as it best applies to your character.
