[RoS: Meridian Phase II] Fiction/Graphics - The Lay of the Land
This competition is in the [RoS: Meridian Phase II] Fiction/Graphics Bin.

This competition is in the Phase 2 Fiction/Graphics Bin. Participating in a competition in this bin for the first time awards 4 points from participation to your unit. [RoS: Meridian Phase II] Fiction II is also in this bin.

Participating in at least one competition in each Phase Phase II bin will earn a member 3 additional participation points. See the parent competition for detailed rules. Cumulatively, the placements in this competition are worth 25% of placement points in Phase II.

Objective: Create a map or graphical layout that shows all or part of the interior of the Collective's Meridian Prime space station. Select from one of the following prompts:

  • Prompt 1: A general map or layout of the station as a whole
  • Prompt 2: A highly detailed map or layout of the station's hangar decks.
  • Prompt 3: A highly detailed map or layout of the station's command decks.

.
Important Additional Information: Your entry should be a map or layout of the structure, not visual representation of an interior area. In essence, your entry should be analogous to Google Maps, not Google Street View. Entries that place may also be used as part of the Wiki article for the Spire pending review by the Dark Council.

How to Submit: Through the site. Formats: .png, .jpg., .gif.

Collective symbol obtained from Collective DJB Wiki article.

Larger Aurebesh words obtained from copy and pasting.

Smaller Aurebesh words obtained by using Aurebesh font.

Everything else either created pixle by pixle in Windows Paint or enhanced in Gimp (this is primarily the shadow effect which I used to try to make the picture looked aged).

This blue print will be tied into the story I am writing for this phase.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

RANDOM COMMENTARY, AND DETAILS -
~ Xs are guard postings
~ Sqaures are chairs or personnel postings
~ The Turbolift in the SE corner of L-1 is the same turbolift as the NE corner of L-2; so basically, I drew L-2 looking from the bottom, whereas L-1 is written top-down
~ Room dimensions ARE -
~~ L-1 = 80 meters wide // 66 meters tall
~~ L-2 = 55 meters wide // 40 meters tall
~ Given the difference in size, the 'empty space' underneath L-1 is simply extra armor plating and just MASS to absorb damage
~ Given, also, that these two sections are where the command staff eat, sleep, live, and work, they are doubly reinforced and protected, both from the rest of the station and from external assault
~ There is a turbolift (as I just mentioned) which is used for transport betweeen L-1 and L-2; unless otherwise configured by the Station Administrator, access is sealed off from the rest of the station
~ The only entrance to L-2 is the turbolift, while the only entrance to L-1 (excepting the turbolift, which only works if allowed by Station Administrator) is the door on the east wall
~ Speaking of doors, all the double lines are doors: therefore, doors are as follows-
~~ 1 on the Eastern side, L-1
~~ 1 on the turbolift, L-1 and L-2
~~ 1 on section G, L-2
~~ 1 on section K, L-2
~~ 1 on Section L, L-1
~ Section L was added after the picture was taken, hence why it's a little weird; I reread the station wiki page to double check my work, and saw the line indicating droid soldiers; rather than have droids ALWAYS there, I decided it would be preferable to simple have them idling out of view. Perhaps, the command deck is taken, all soldiers are killed, and the attackers, thinking they've secured victory, let their guard down while anyone in the Station Administrator's office could activate the droids, thus engaging a second assault, probably retaking the command deck
~ Speaking of office, section K has three beds on the south wall, on bed hugging the east wall, and a desk/terminal and chair against the north side; they are (respectively) the chief panels' beds, the Station Administrator's bed, and the Station Administrator's office workstation
~ There are squares and detailings on all the consoles in sections B, C, D1, and E1-4; they are JUST detailings. I realized after I had drawn in about 80% that it might get confusing ("why are there chairs IN the conoles??"), but I couldn't erase them without making further mess; I apologize
~ On L-1, section D2 is a little messy because it's plunked underneath the room dimensions. D2 is a mirror image of D1, just a little wider and with a 4th seat
~ Same thing on L-2, there are 4 bunks that are crammed underneath the dimensions; again, apologies
~ Also, all the cube things/square things/double rectangle things are all bunk beds
~ Section F is the recreational section; I assume there are other things going on, such as weight lifting or working, or gambling, or gambling; I didn't see a need to go and add tiles in DEDICATED to these. I imagine the respective person doing the action would have the materials stored in a footlocked underneath their respective bed
~ There are four ceiling mounted twin-turrets on each level, as well as multiple cameras; NOWHERE IS SAFE FROM BIG BROTHER OLGARIK
~ Section A's conference table has little rings in front of every seat: these are communication placements. In the case of an emergency in the middle of a staff meeting, the respective head can be paged directly and efficiently
~ L-2 is for command staff and personnel, NOT guards and security; guard barracks are elsewhere. I assume they have their own schedule, but if not, I imagine they'd swap out every 2 hours, with the two manning Section B would swap every 4
~ The writing on the right side of the page is just all the details I put above; I realized there wasn't enough space, so I just transferred it to here
~ The site crashed the first time I wrote this all out, so I'm probably missing stuff this time around; I apologize, if I remember other stuff, I'll just edit my entry and add them in

The theory here is that Daels squad would be jettisoned onto the station to take out communications via slicing and such. The diagram gives rough intel on where they need to go and avoid the core or command center.
