Competition: Betrayal and Instinct

Specifics

You are sent on a mission by one of your House leaders. The assignment is to assassinate a Remnant leader on a world of your choosing. As you arrive at the location, an ambush springs! The Remnant was awaiting your arrival. You fight your way out of the large ambush. Before you kill that last trooper you ask him how he knew of your arrival. He tells you: "Someone in Arcona."

You return to the fleet and report to your Consul, Sashar Arconae. He does not believe you. You must launch a private investigation to find the informant. Was it your closet friend, or one you didn't know.

Write a 3 page fiction detailing this entire event. From the ambush you escaped from to the informant you find. Write how and why this person did it. Was it out of greed, power, mercy, etc. You tell me.
