Years before even finding out that she could use the Force, Sumsol once witnessed a close friend stealing a blaster from a local law enforcement officer. This friend went on to use the blaster to rob a nearby cantina, running off with thousands of credits.

At this time, Sumsol was still young and tried to follow the law, but instead of telling the authorities anything, she told them that it was the officer himself who had committed the crime. Her friend escaped from Dac and was never heard from again.
