Since her last recognition (promotion to JM4 in September of 2020), Crysenia has participated in 21 competitions, earning herself a Crescent with Ruby Star. She has also participated in 2 PvE activities and 3 fiction activities (totalling 4803 words), receiving 6 Clusters of Fire and 9 Clusters of Ice. On the Shadow Academy side, she has completed 4 courses and earned 1 degree, along with her work as a Professor (which Ciara will describe in more detail).

In light of her continued activity, I hereby recommend Crysenia for promotion to Equite 1. Congratulations!

Crysenia joined the Shadow Academy faculty in May of last year to take on the role of Combat and Warfare Professor. Since then, she's graded 118 courses (97 since her last promotion) with an average grading time of about 6 hours - well below the standard of 24!

Almost as soon as she was hired, Crysenia set to work immediately with plans to improve much of the department, which included a number of courses that needed total rewrites. So far, she's rewritten the Personal Armor and Land Vehicles course and worked with Erinyes to map out a plan for the whole department with outlines for future courses. Both completed courses included research to find fresh, canon examples of relevant Star Wars content as well as armor and vehicles from the club's possessions system. She also worked to integrate any relevant DB-specific content into the courses as part of our goal to make the content both interesting for Star Wars fans and helpful for club members. For instance, she included information on the encumbrance system for possessions/ACC in the Personal Armor course as a way to help members select the appropriate armor for their characters in different situations.

In addition to writing the course content, Crysenia expressed an interest in really learning the admin side of the Academy, so she took both courses from concept to markdown to creating the exam questions from the admin side.

As a professor, Crysenia also commonly goes out of her way to provide helpful grading feedback – particularly to new members - offering tips on how to get connected beyond even the Shadow Academy to make sure these members feel welcome and oriented. She's also one of the first to let me know when members are excelling in the Academy so that we can highlight them in reports.

Crysenia has shown herself to be someone who is interested in improving the experience members have with both the Shadow Academy and the club at large, so I'm happy to add my recommendation for her promotion to the Equite ranks!
