Primary reason

Dark Jedi Knight Kairus is a model member. He has been steadily active since his ascension to Dark Jedi Knight six months ago. Kairus has participated in 24 competitions, taking home 21 Crescents and a Dark Cross. His participation includes four entries in the Festival of Renewal competitions and eight entries in the SvC: Children of Revolution event. In that event he tied for first place in activity, exemplifying his drive and dedication. He also holds the required Steel Cross for promotion.

Kairus is also very active in other ways. He is always on IRC, frequently stimulating conversation and keeping other members interested. He contributes to Clan email discussions as well. This shows that Kairus cares about more than just adding more shinies to his dossier.

As a long-time member of the Dark Brotherhood, Kairus has a lot of experience in different areas of the club. He has shared these skills with others, including taking on an apprentice, Holco Vithe, and has guided him through the early ranks of the Dark Brotherhood. Kairus has done such things as help him participate in competitions and attempt to qualify in the ACC. He is a diligent teacher, demonstrating skills that will serve himself and the Brotherhood for years to come.

For these reasons, I would like to recommend that Kairus be promoted to the rank of Obelisk Templar. Congratulations, Kairus, and welcome to the ranks of the Equites. You’ve earned it!

  • KP Locke Sonjie Consul of Clan Naga Sadow

I haven't known Kairus long, but what I do know impressed me. He was the first to notice something may have been wrong with an award, one he had received and brought to my attention as he thought there was an error. Most would take the award and run but he wouldn't have it if he didn't truly earn it. This was a remarkable show of character, and he continued to demonstrate his worth by participating regularly in the SvC events.

  • Atra Ventus

Since Kairus’s last promotion six months ago he has not slowed down in his activity. He has entered 24 competitions, earning 21 crescents including one Crescent with Diamond Star. He’s also earned a Dark Cross. During the Festival of Renewals that ran in May he entered six of the events, during the most recent big event that we held in Clan Naga Sadow Kairus entered seven of the events.

There is more than just entering a lot of comps that marks one ready to join the Equites. He has been a constant face on IRC supporting his clan members. He has also taken another member under his wing in the Master Student Program. He has helped his student in different ways from getting on IRC himself to even attempting to qualify in the ACC.

His constant presence is felt throughout the Clan and I am sure that Kairus will continue to show everyone that he is a force to be reckoned with. I am more than confident that Kairus has shown he is ready for a promotion to Equite. Congrats Kairus

Since his last elevation on 1/2/2012 Kairus has proven himself to be a highly motivated member. His enthusiasm and love of Clan and the Club is contagious as I saw during my time as Consul. Writing recs for a dude like him is always difficult- you have to count a lot of awards up! He has in this time earned 21 Crescents, including a CrR and a CrD, many Clusters of Fire, a Dark Cross, 7 Clusters of Ice, and two pendants of Blood. I'd like to especially speak about the CrD he earned. Kairus volunteered to be on a team with Xanos and myself in the DB-wide 3-man runon competition that the Voice ran. No easy task, he admitted that fiction is not his forte and the two of us older members are known writers of solid caliber. Kairus stepped up to the plate, got stuck in, and did an outstanding job coordinating and writing with us. And in fact we won over every other entry- we crushed them, in my opinion. This shows what teamwork and stretching your boundaries as a club member can do. It also shows a willingness to reach out to unfamiliar folks on Kairus' part. He's also one of those that helps whenever asked and loudly supports the Clan and ToR folks. Also nowadays it seems many of the folks that love ToR do mostly that to the exclusion of other DB activities- and Kairus is an exception to this. He does it all, and in spades. For his teamwork, enthusiasm, activity, love of Club, and unpositioned leadership by example Kairus deserves to be an Equite.
