Arch has held many positions in the club during his career, and about a year ago he became one of the few to serve in a brand new leadership roll. As the Brotherhood's first Exarch, focused on developing and supporting our newly supported RP activity, Arch has spent the last several months building awareness of RP across the club and working with James and a small team of testers to shape the contours of the system and develop our extremely cool RP bot features. Long story short, RP has quickly become one of the club's primary activities and I doubt we'd be where we are without Arch's persistence of vision.

The numbers are impressive. Since we started tracking RP activity last year, 92 unique participants have written more than 1,096,824 words. As I write this, three clans are running post-GJW clan-focused sessions, along with a couple of club-wide sessions, and even a DC session. Now, obviously Arch is not personally responsible for every participant and word, but his work has made this possible.

Congratulations, Arch!

Additional reasons

I can't say enough about how incredible Arch's work has been on the RP system. Nothing in the DJB goes smoothly, even the simplest of asks is met with a wide range of opinions that can frustrate and derail many things. However, his ability as a leader to see the big picture, put members first, and guide everything he does without loosing sight of that vision is incredible to work alongside. I don't know what RP will look like a few years from now as it continues to grow within the community, but I know that it has its best chance as long as its got Arch at the helm guiding it. Congratulations.

Lord Evio Nezsa, 2022-08-05 21:07:25 UTC

The feathered one has stepped up to handle quite the mountain of work: Find a way to get RPs functional and sustainable in this club. Be it dealing with a CS system designed to avoid things like dice roles, overseeing our completely new platform on Discord, or even dealing with the million ways one could run an RP session (dice or no dice, DM or no DM), Arch has taken it all in stride.

While it has been a hard fight to get some of our more stubborn members to recognize the value of the RP system, Arch has never let it get in the way of trying to provide a kick-ass member experience. He is always quick to answer questions and to help members set up sessions. He has helped solidify the RP system as a fun way for members to interact in character in ways they never have before. Its even gotten several of us on the DC into it which is no small feat.

The path to the endgame RP systems is long, and yes there is still a lot of work ahead of him, but I know Arch will carry it across the finish line and in the process give us a lasting activity to better the club.

Congrats Arch and thank you for your continued efforts!

Lord Idris Adenn, 2022-08-02 18:10:38 UTC

How is Arch not in therapy? Even with doing Right Hand of Justice, Left Hand of Justice, Magistrate to the Regent, Exarch, holding tight to a third spot in the Scimitar of Lord Hoth leaderboard and taking home a Crescent in every competition he submits, Arch still checks in to see if Odan-Urr needs his assistance and is willing to apply for any Clan position available. This guy is a special breed, and without him it would take a dozen members to fill his shoes. His Exarch work alone is a big undertaking but has added so much to the Club and has provided a way for us to pull in and retain new members with the shiny new roleplay system. It’s been a huge success and as it evolves, so will the DB.

Since his last recognition, he has participated in 129 competitions, earning himself 8 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 33 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 36 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 17 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 6 Crescents with Emerald Stars, and 5 Crescents with Topaz Stars. For his fiction activities, he’s earned 35 Clusters of Ice for 14,529 words of fiction. His gaming efforts earned him 7 Clusters of Fire and 1 Cluster of Earth. For his graphics activities, he’s earned 46 Clusters of Graphite. Additionally, he’s earned 1 Seal of Loyalty, passed 4 courses and earned 3 degrees in the Shadow Academy.

During GJW XV, Arch took home the most points with full bin participation, 2 Gold Nova, 1 Silver Nova and 13 Seals of Ascension.

Thank you Arch for everything you do for the Clan, the Club and for each and every member. We cannot thank you enough!

Revak K’Urr Consul, Odan-Urr

Ambassador Revak K'Urr, 2022-08-03 16:38:32 UTC

Arch has gone right into the deep-end (maybe unknowingly, who knows) on the concept of "One Brotherhood", something The Council has been pushing for since before our community's move to Discord. He has opened staff positions specifically not for just project work (because that will always be a thing with anything new in the works), but for community reps and members who are willing not just to run things for their own clan but for other clans and multiple clans in an attempt to strengthen the roleplaying community and more importantly - get more people involved in this exciting and fun activity. This move towards staffers being more "community managers" and game masters is something that I wholly support, and look forward to seeing where it goes.

Mr Birb takes all criticism in stride, whether positive or negative, working hard in his role to try and produce something that the Grand Master is going to approve at the end of the day, but is still the best version of the product for the most members possible. Any type of roleplay - diceless, "guided sessions" under a game master, freeform, and dice-using sessions - are all welcome and encouraged, basically whatever way you'd like to roleplay, maximizing the flexibility for every member.

The Exarch has in his time in the job: formulated various guides for the membership, written and posted pretty frequent reports as far as Tribunes go to keep the membership updated on the progress, and is consistently working on new proposals for the roleplaying community as a whole and the idea of a "roleplaying society" regardless of whatever pushback he may receive. Tqhe man spends a lot of time reviewing roleplay logs for Cluster of Ice awarding, and is always around to help anyone in whatever they may need when it comes to our Discord's roleplay section. He continues to astound me with his dedication to The Brotherhood as a whole.

Although I only just recently hired Arch (after encouraging him to apply, which he was ironically reluctant to do) he's already hit the ground running while making time for Exarch things. The birb since joining the staff has already contributed almost ten proposed item prototypes to our next booster release, combing through both Dr. Aphra and High Republic content to propose new items and expand our offerings beyond just those for dark side-aligned members as the Regent Staff moves to be more inclusive for characters from all walks of life.

In addition, I specifically brought Arch on for his expertise as a former Combat Master (and to make things a little easier on both of us when and if there are eventually proposed freebies on the possessions side for roleplaying), and he's working alongside myself on a new proposal to make better use of a very specific loadout slot that we both feel is criminally underutilized.

With all of this in mind, and knowing that one award won't stop Arch from doing Arch things, I'm estatic to be a part of this recommendation. Congrats on the stabbity man, and thanks for all the hard work you do for this community.

Sometimes it feels like Benny has been the Consul of CNS since the very beginning because has made himself an indispensable fixture in the clan. For the last four years, Benny has served with distinction, keeping up a high level of personal activity while leading his clan through lean and boom years alike. And he is going out on top, announcing his retirement shortly after clinching Second Clan of the Brotherhood for CNS and coming in fourth out of 140 participants in GJW XV.

Since his last recognition in January, Benny has served ably as Consul, Wiki Tribune, M:Regent, and SA professor, while participating in 169 competitions, organizing an impressive 76 comps, and earing dozens of crescents, 3 GNs, 2915 CFs, 2149 CEs, 33 CIs, and 168 CGs. He's written approximately 10,000 words of fiction across all of our fiction activities, and spent untold hours maintaining our Wiki.

There are very few members in the long history of this club who have had the impact that Benny has (and will continue to have) over as many years. He's a legend in CNS and a pillar of the Brotherhood. It is truly an honor to award him this Emerald Dagger. Thank you, Benny, and enjoy your "retirement"!

Bentre has been an amazing Consul and Wiki Tribune throughout the years. He has always strived to do the best that he can for the community and to Naga Sadow. He has had quite a few nights where he stays up just to make sure things get done and has always communicated things to his Summit. I think two of his greatest accomplishments were to see him not only once, but twice bring Naga Sadow to second clan in two Great Jedi Wars.

He also is a thinker, problem solver, creator and will listen to others. If something needed done in a timely manner, Bentre always did his best to get whatever needed out quickly. I am honored to give my recommendation for this award. Bentre, you definately deserve this for everything you have done for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Congratulations, drinks are on you today! ~Tasha'Vel Versea

Tasha'Vel Versea, 2022-08-01 20:45:04 UTC

Thinking back to previous Consuls I've been in Naga Sadow under, Bentre stands one of the best all round Clan leaders amongst them. He leads by example, and his personal activity is massively impressive. Since his last promotion slightly less than a year ago he has organised a hundred competitions, taken part in more than twice that number, graded over ninety courses, earned around a hundred crescents and six thousand clusters. He does this alongside usually holding three or four different positions concurrently, including Consul, Tribune, Professor and Magistrate and Praetor. His tireless enthusiasm for Brotherhood activity is astounding and sets a great example to others.

He is also a friendly and supportive leader of Clan Naga Sadow, taking the time to talk to all the members in chat including welcoming and encouraging new members and taking the time to answer queries they may have publicly or privately. He is also unfailingly good humoured and relaxed in chat and again comes across as an approachable leader. He also keeps a constant watch over member activity and works hard to get rewards for his members when deserved, and the amount of effort and detail he puts into writing recommendations for these is extremely impressive and serve as great examples for others to follow.

Behind the scenes, Bentre leads the Naga Sadow summit with an open and fair approach, bringing new developments or ideas to the rest of the leaders, seeking peoples views and ideas and calmly seeking mutual consensus. He also deals with occasional minor disputes amongst the other leaders with a calm and firm manner and takes time to resolve them. He is very supportive of other leaders ideas for competitions and plot and fictional developments, offering support where needed to make them happen, but also giving people free reign to develop them and credit for them afterwards. It has honestly been a pleasure to serve in the Summit under him.

For all of his efforts for Clan Naga Sadow, and the wider Dark Brotherhood, I am happy to add my recommendation for this much earned award.

Congratulations Bentre,

Malisane Sadow

Malisane Sadow, 2022-08-01 20:57:57 UTC

Bentre is one solid dude. Over the course of the six months (not including the vendetta, during which time council staffers were told to shove off and participate), Bentre has been an active participant in the going-ons of the Regent Staff as my Magistrate. As our primary go-to guy for reviewing spelling and grammatical errors in releases, Bentre undertook several of these to assist us in content release prep; he reviewed and made suggestions and corrections to seventy nine different prototypes for the Planetary Assets release, thirty three different prototypes for our February booster release, and ninety six of our potential land vehicle upgrades currently awaiting review by the Grand Master and Deputy Grand Master. He made wording and spelling/grammatical corrections to over two hundred and fifty prototypes already present on the site based on a list provided to us by Tarvitz. That's a lot of monotonous clicking and editing for anybody, but he took it in stride and did an excellent job.

Additionally, Bentre helped craft Antares Construction Group (our Planetary Assets store) and was continually engaging in various Regent Staff discussions during his tenure. It was an immense pleasure working with him, and I'm kinda sad to see him go - though I wish him the best in his endeavors as Praetor to the Fist. Speaking aside from his Regent Staff work (which he never let any of his other positions prevent him from doing), Bentre is one of this club's finer members and completely deserving of this honor, without a doubt.

Congrats on the new stabbity, bro! Don't be a stranger. :)

There will be a lot of accolades thrown around here in regards to the Adept and everything he has accomplished over these last few years. I am honored to be a part of this, so if I may, I would just like to talk about Adept Bentre Stahoes for a minute. Bentre's name is and will always be synonymous with Clan Naga Sadow. He is one of those folks you are drawn to because of his overwhelming welcoming personality.

His calm demeanor and attention to detail has made him such a respected member of the Clan. He is always willing to listen and go that extra mile for the Clan. Regardless of what I asked, how many times I may have asked, throwing crazy ideas out there at him. He would always indulge me and hopefully I made him laugh a bit. Yet he always had an answer that made you ponder your query in greater detail. He always has a way to make you push one's creative side to the limits.

The amount of time and effort he dedicates to the Club is simply unbelievable. I took every opportunity to shadow him when he selected me for his Proconsul. He maintained and had oversight on so many things that folks in the Clan do not see. In which the Clan under his staunch leadership thrived as a whole. That dedication and openness made the Clan run smoother, always seeing the best in us.

His time as Consul and his time with the other hats I have witnessed him wearing during our tenure, is a pure example of his selflessness to the Club. It has been nothing but a true honor to watch and I hope that I can emulate the leadership that you have given us over the last four years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a bigger part of the Clan . Your leadership and your friendship is something that I will always be grateful for. Thank you for everything Sir!

Warlord DarkHawk Sadow

Proconsul

Adept DarkHawk Sadow, 2022-08-02 00:35:34 UTC

I'm honored to be able to write this recommendation for Bentre. I'm sure other recommendations are going to cover his work as Wiki Tribune, or his work as staff, or even the meat and potatoes of what he's done as a member and as Consul.

Personally, I'm going to talk about how Bentre affected me and why that makes him a good leader and deserving candidate for this award. First of all, he leads from the front. He's not just on the front, he's the first guy over the hill, every time. Consider that during the recent Great Jedi War, at least six of the novae CNS members earned during the war were made possible by him always gaming and being available for gaming. He also led to us getting 2nd by having three gold novae of his own, and I can't remember the last time a CNS Consul was so competitive. He also supported me a ton in the Push the Button competitions. Early on he listened to me whine about how much time I was going to dedicate to it, and later on he helped me stay ahead in the second button competition. If not for Bentre supporting me and pushing for us to game so much I would probably have no novae in this War!

It's difficult to put in words just how much an influence Bentre has been on CNS and our success and culture. CNS has a great culture and Bentre has been Consul for years and has been a big part of that. Whether it was listening to our dumb ideas (mostly mine), or our complaints, or what have you, Bentre took it all in stride. He has made wise decisions and after the RoS where we did so poorly he led us to bounce back in a major way to get 2nd place in the recent Great Jedi War.

No matter what happened with the club, I was comfortable and confident in Bentre's ability to lead us through it and handle things well.

And Bentre did all this while he was also Wiki Tribune, and also leading CNS in activity, and doing a disgusting amount of gaming. And he's still doing a lot of gaming even now, which gets other members involved.

Bentre sees something CNS can excel at or look good in or have fun in, and he pushes us toward that and opens the door for everyone else, and that's how we ended up with four or five members on the GMRG at the same time, and that's how we did so well in the GJW, and that's a big part of why I love being in CNS so much.

So yeah, "earned" indeed.

Signed,

Adept Locke Sonjie
Quaestor, Marka Ragnos

Epis Locke Sonjie, 2022-08-02 03:53:28 UTC

Bentre has been a focal point in Naga Sadow for 4 years now as Consul. He has led us though good times and bad. He has earned the rank of Elder, he has earned countless awards and accolades. He is the best of us and has given so much to his Clan and this club.

Other members of the club have spoken about what Bentre has achieved. How he’s inspired others. How he gives so much. We have been blessed in having him join us in Naga Sadow and his influence on the Clan and club will long continue.

Thank you for your service, your time, your kindness and your humour. All of the difficulties you’ve faced and overcome for our Clan have placed us in a position of strength as we look into the future.

I look forward to our next Mario Kart match so I can hit you with all the shells!

Thank you once again and congratulations on your new shiny bauble.

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2022-08-02 17:33:08 UTC

Several others have explained the finer details of the specific, tangible things that Bentre has done in his exceptional term as Consul. To them, I would briefly add that there is something particularly effective to lead by doing, and by his doing, he's made Naga Sadow much more dangerous on the gaming front. This has traditionally been a weak point for CNS, and I don't think we can say that anymore.

There's also something to be said about his leadership style. It's a bit of the Socratic method in play and mixed in with how he works, getting out of the way so that people can grow and learn how best to achieve for the clan. Some people prefer being told exactly what to do and when, but that does them no favors when they reach the seat of power. This method, like every other, is not without its' hiccups, but the results speak for themselves in an empowered summit, an energized core of clan members, plenty of successful projects and better and better placement in events.

It's been a pleasure working with you, Bentre. It is a great pleasure that I am able to put some words in for this retirement award, but I hope retirement isn't so attractive that you stop coming around. Thanks again, Bentre.

Bentre knows what he did, I've written a lot of recommendations for him and this is yet another. He's been an incredibly level-headed leader who has a strong passion for member experience and doing the right thing. I've looked forward to working with him and interacting at every opportunity I get and wish him the best in whatever he gets himself into now that he has Consul in the rear view. Congratulations Bentre.

Calling Atty one of our most prolific members really undersells her body of work. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of words of fiction she's written and the uncounted hours of staff and leadership time she's devoted to this club since her last award, she has also been an invaluable member of the DB Story Group for the last few vendettas. For those who don't know, the Story Group is a small off-roster team typically comprised of the GM, DGM, JST, and Voice, with occasional input from the Regent and (of course) James. The only member of the current group not on the Dark Council, Atty earned her way in with hard work, dedication, talent, and an aptitude for teamwork. Since joining, she's been a constant source of and sounding board for (our many, many terrible) ideas, has acted as the primary proofreader for Idris' drafts, and even developed and wrote the descriptions for the fictional locations used in RoS: Escalation.

I can sincerely say that without her, the overall plot and individual fictions for RoS: Escalation would not have been as good as they were. Thanks for all of your work, Atty!

There are few members as dedicated to the ACC as an institution and to supporting the members who take part in it as much as Atty. Hiring her to staff was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. Atty brought not only a wealth of experience with the CS system and probably one of the best commands of syntax in the club but also the perspective of a prolific ACC competitor to the table. When the staff had to weigh matters of realism, rules, competition design and change proposals, Atty served as a tireless voice on behalf of the ACC competitors.

During her time on ACC staff Atty served as lead judge on 10 matches, graded 1 ACC qualification exam and provided timely rule of two support on an impressive 19 matches. All these activities in support of the members who use the Antei Combat Centre required a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail. I would conservatively estimate she spent at least 20 hours in direct support to the ACC staff through judging matches, supporting other judges through rule of two review, proposal development and staff discussions. Those are just the things I can directly quantify. Atty’s support to the members who participated in the ACC through advice in public channels and post proofing are just as substantial but harder to quantify. Just about every member who’s participated in an ACC match in the past few years has had at least one post proofed by Atty.

On behalf of myself and the larger fiction community, thank you for all your hard work and love you poured into the ACC and all the members who participate in it.

Atyiru has been a staple of “TeamVoice” for a long time. Her critical eye, vast knowledge of our CS system, and drive to help others have helped keep the Voice Office on track for ages. With an additional year as P:Voice and about 4 months as SM:Voice, she has never let off the gas to ensure a great experience for all members that utilize our fiction systems.

Since being awarded a Ruby Sceptor back in mid-August 2020, she has personally approved 241 Character Sheets (10.31% of all sheets approved in this window, 38% if you remove the auto-approved sheets). She has also supplied 89 Sheet remands (33.3% of all remands in this window). This doesn’t include the fact that she typically has eyes on all sheets in the queue anyway, thus providing feedback even when it is not her specifically providing the approval or remand.

As always her interactions with members while representing the Voice Staff have been incredibly professional, helpful, polite, and informative. Be it the well worded remands that not only illustrate where weak points are in a CS but also always provide insight on how it can be improved or her watchful eye in #fiction-chat and the efforts to keep it a safe and helpful space for those interested in our fictional offerings.

Her vast experience and capability to help others have come into even great usage over the last several months as she has helped train up the news bunch of Voice Staffers. Her aid and knowledge have been a vast boon the entire time I’ve served as Voice.

There have been numerous projects, policy changes, and QoL updates to the CS system this last year, and Atty has been a part of all of them. Insightful she has helped tackle changes to our skills and feats while also working as part of the DJB Story Group. Beyond proofing our fiction releases, she has been a critical part of story development and has helped push our club’s narrative further and better than it could have been without her.

Thank you Atty for everything!

When it comes to members of Arcona, none shine more brightly than Atty. She is engaged in all areas of the Clan and shows her value every day. She is one of the first to engage with new members when they appear and is always looking out for the best interest of all within our Clan. She is instrumental to our success and Arcona would be a lesser place without her.

Since her last awarding, Atty has participated in 110 competitions and has run, or helped run, 7 others. She is in the process of establishing Arcona’s next Clan event where she will be the one running the competitions. In competition, Atty rises to the top. She has earned numerous crescents (2 Diamond, 13 Ruby, 5 Amethyst, 17 Sapphire, 6 Emerald, 5 Topaz, 1 Quartz) and her efforts also awarded her clusters (4 Fire, 487 Ice, 76 Graphite). In Rite of Supremacy: Escalation, she was First Heroine having earned 3 Gold Novae, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze and 17 Seals on Enmity.

Atty takes the lead as our most prolific roleplayer and even runs many of our Clan RP’s. She has written 224,852 words of fiction and assists all of our members with their posts and ideas for development. Her focus is always on building up our members and making sure they are having fun and succeeding.

I have found Atty to be truly inspiring as my Proconsul. She signed on as an interim Proconsul and did so to help the Clan in a time of need. Since then she has really taken the lead handling the most responsibility of any of our leaders. I regrettably had some serious RL issues knock me out of my ability to be around and she picked up the slack in a way that I can never repay to her.

Atty is a true friend and an inspiration to us all. She deserves this award and more. I am so proud of her and wish her well in all her DJB endeavors. Thank you for everything Atty. Congratulations!

Rian Taldrya stepped into the role of Consul of Taldryan twenty months ago, and has worked to build up the Clan fiction and backstory, provide opportunities for members and build community, and communicate and work to build a network of leaders for the Clan.

On the activity front, he has participated in over 200 different competitions during this time frame, truly leading by example as a mentor and being involved in what’s available in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Earning crescents, novae and hundreds of clusters for his effort as a member.

He also provided many opportunities as well, organizing 42 different competitions, many offering members of Clan Taldryan a means to participate and help shape the fictional identity and direction of the Clan and future. Innovatively trying to find ways to drive member engagement and create something fun and unique to build identity. This included the Caelus Chronicles, and many bits of fiction in an incredible amount of communication and reporting to members of the Clan. As well as an event run with Clan Scholae Palatinae.

For all his great work as a leader of the Clan consistently for so long, and effort to build opportunities for its members over this same time frame I want to recommend Rian be awarded an Emerald Dagger. Congratulations.

Selika Roh has served as Herald for the past year and a half, where he stepped into the role to replace Vyr and supported launching the Graphics Society, graphics competition standardization and guidelines, and fostered the graphics community and talent.

The Herald office has continued to release content regularly, with Solo dossier artwork done in a timely release, Clone Wars dossier artwork and a host of additional robes, weapons and accessories for members to customize their profiles on the site. While keeping up with a staff that manages Warbanners and custom weapons requests for members.

Oversaw the Shroud War competition series, following on the one run by Vyr, that ran over six weeks and gave members that created an opportunity for some competition around graphics. While also running the graphics competitions and battle plan events in the latest Great Jedi War and graphics in the Rite of Supremacy before that. Organizing a total of 30 different competitions creating graphics opportunities for members.

Selika has had a great impact on graphics since taking on the role of Herald, in keeping up with regular releases, managing the talent in the club and keeping engaged with the staff, providing opportunities and mentorship. I look forward to seeing more as I see plans for more multimedia content and rubrics and other plans.

Teylas has been my Praetor for almost two and a half years now, and it has been just about a year and a half since his last recognition for all the fantastic work he does every single day for the Master at Arms office. The MAA Office is a little different from other DC offices, our large projects (or even any projects) come once every few years – and little projects are once or twice a year. The real work of the MAA Office comes in the day to day work of approving and denying medal requests, processing appointments and resignations, managing competitions (and manually editing competitions) – and knowing the nuances of our database to make competitions work (for instance, switching competition archetypes to allow manual addition of participants, and then switching it back). The biggest contribution Teylas’ has made, and truly – every magistrate, praetor and MAA makes – are the discussions that occur among the staff about medals and promotions. That happens with every single sacramental award (and many of the merit), every equite and higher promotion – that is where the bulk of the work occurs. And for Teylas? He does it in spades.

Teylas has offered opinions on medal or promotion recommendations that are sometimes in line with my own to verify my own lack of senility. Sometimes though, he demonstrates that I am off my game – or I have not considered a position or opinion. Or sometimes? Sometimes I am just flat out wrong – and Teylas points it out and corrects me. For all of that? I am forever grateful.

In his time in the MAA Office, Teylas has processed hundreds of promotion, medal, and competition approvals and denials (mostly approvals). He has manually edited many competitions when people made a mistake (or when one of us does), he has helped write reports, policy changes (spoiler alert: new ones are coming soon), and he has attempted to (and he has succeeded) guide a new generation of DBers in how to medal well, how to promote well, and how to host competitions well. In short? Teylas has been a model Praetor – and I look forward to his assistance as we move on towards the next large scale Master of Arms project – and our continuing efforts to make the Brotherhood’s recognition system more effective, more far, and more inclusive for our membership.

For Teylas’ efforts over the past year and a half in making our system work better – it is my pleasure to award him this green stabby thing. Congratulations!

Additional reasons

During his time with Clan Plagueis, Teylas was always an asset whether he had a formal leadership position or not. He’s always stepped up to the plate to do things when things needed doing and we’re all grateful for that. During his most recent stint in clan leadership, Teylas took on the role of Rollmaster in which he served as an advisor to the clan summit. His insight was invaluable as always and helped us along into a Great Jedi War.

Teylas’ most important recent contribution to Clan Plagueis came not in a formal leadership role, but in helping to run a major event. The ‘Pro Bowl’ has not only become a staple of Clan Plagueis, but is slowly becoming more popular outside the clan as well. In it’s most recent iteration, which included Clans Taldryan and Scholae Palatine, Teylas took point on the execution of the three week long event. His attention to detail made sure the event ran smoothly despite having a large number of both events and participants. Teylas directly managed a week of the event while also guiding the other co-organizers in their portions of the event. He helped make this most recent Pro Bowl the best event in the series so far and one that we’ll remember for a long time.

In closing, I just want to reiterate that no matter what capacity he happens to be in at the time, Teylas was always an asset to the clan and I, for one, still appreciate that. He fully deserves all the accolades he receives and want to thank him again for his efforts.

The position of Fist is an unenviable one as it requires a excellent attention to detail and an ear on the pulse of our gaming community, and the ability to respond to changing in gaming. Over the last year, Drac has achieved more with his office than most Dark Councillors have or ever will. To say that he keeps his eyes and ears open when listening to the community is an understatement as he conducts regular polls and discussion on future supported games, keeps a close eye on game popularity and the very precise job of keeping the whole system balanced. In everything regarding our gaming community Drac endeavors to keep the balance to allow members the fun and recognition they deserve while keeping the system fair and open to all. Drac’s desire to run additional gaming competitions, offering members new opportunities for participation and competition, drove the development of our widely successful Bin system for Vendettas. His latest project, that of the new GMRG rules, has been a long time coming and has, so far, showed a positive trend in breaking up the long-standing gaming stereotypes related to the Leaderboard.

Drac has a very precise and organized manner in which he runs his office. All gaming competitions are planned well in advance (up to several months at least) and they are transparent and clearly voice to the members. He runs a well balanced portfolio of competitions and in the past year he has organize 34 competitions and co-organized 35. His efforts regarding the latest Rite of Supremacy have not gone unnoticed either, as his competitions drew plenty of participants. He is continually relaying information to the club, posting more than 25 news posts over the last year, and he contributes to the SA as well, grading more than 100 courses.

More than that, Drac is an excellent advisor to both of us. As a member of our Dark Council, Drac has been involved in every major decision we’ve made over the year. His patient and balanced approach to gaming is evident in his feedback towards all of our discussions and systems.

Considering his efforts to improve the Club, we congratulate Warlord Dracaryis for his Emerald Dagger.

In the last ten months since his previous Sacramental, Atra has been incredibly active at multiple levels in the Brotherhood. In general activity, Atra has participated in 44 competitions and earned more than 900 gaming Clusters, 19 Clusters of Ice, and 16 Clusters of Graphite. While this activity is certainly noteworthy, Atra's major contributions have come as Combat Master in managing the ACC, in his excellent work in GJW XII last year, and as a constant participant or project lead in endeavors to improve character sheets and related content.

As Combat Master, Atra has helped build the ACC into a platform that can be appreciated by all members. Atra regularly engages with summits to encourage the usage of the ACC, and is always willing to work with the Clans to provide ACC opportunities for members, such as when he assisted in the administration of the CNS event The Harrowing. Atra continually updates and adds to Venues, and even has introduced a new 'mode' for the ACC in the Scenario Hall, where each venue has a unique experience and prompt that sets the stage more explicitly and provides unique experiences based on the venue used, including multiple opponents and specific objectives defined in the prompt. This Hall has been an early success we hope continues. Atra has trained more than a dozen members to be Judges from across the Brotherhood, including the current crop of Judges: Kelly, Areticus, Lucine, Grot, and Turel. Notably, Atra also trained a Dark Councilor, Farrin, in time for us to utilize him in the Great Jedi War. Atra himself has judged 46 battles since his last Sacramental (the majority of which were in the GJW, discussed below). Importantly, Atra has helped ensure that knowledge of how the site functions for the CM is maintained and open to future CMs through the creation of a CM Reference Manual.

Atra's contributions to the Great Jedi War were immense. From designing venues to running competitions, Atra was a major force throughout the two ACC 'phases', as well as the combat fiction. In total, his events garnered 105 unique participants and 129 entries, marking the largest participant total in ACC events in my memory. Atra was wholly responsible for the prompt and preliminary grading for Collective Strike, which garnered 40 participants. Moreover, he had more than 30 battles judged in the first Phase of the ACC in GJWXII, the open ladder, as well as judging the final bracket phase. Without Atra, the ACC would likely have been absent from the GJW.

Atra's Brotherhood-wide contributions are not restricted to the ACC or the GJW alone. Atra is tirelessly involved in the developing the character sheets and related items. From the addition of new species (e.g. Ewoks, Devaronian), to his updating the tiers of Skills, Feats, and Powers, to minor changes regularly to Skills and Powers to keep updated with current Star Wars canon, Atra is an invaluable member of Team Character Sheet. More recently, Atra pushed for and assisted Evant with the implementation of an armor system that will enable members to utilize their armor items in fiction more easily. These contributions have bettered the membership experience and helped address long-standing issues with our character sheets, particularly in the case of armor.

Atra is among our most important leaders. As the Combat Master, he oversees a platform unique to the Brotherhood, but his contributions go so much further than 'just' Combat Master. Moreover, Atra is always willing to step out of his role as CM, or expand on it where it is necessary. Without Atra, the last Great Jedi War likely wouldn't have had any ACC options, and his incredible judging turnaround time and ability to handle multiple battles quickly is what enabled us to really succeed and to have a model for how to utilize in the ACC in future Vendetta events. Atra is an integral member of our development team that creates and refines the membership's experiences with the Brotherhood fictional tools, especially the character sheets. More importantly, Atra is an advisor I trust and rely on beyond just the ACC. In short, Atra's efforts over the last ten months have been immense, and it is without a doubt that he deserves this Emerald Dagger.

I know I speak for the Deputy Grand Master and the Voice as well when I say congratulations, Atra!

The membership of the Dark Brotherhood consists of many talented and creative people. Within these numbers are a select few who distinguish themselves as future leaders of our club. In 2015, Abbey was one such member. It was apparent, to anyone with a brain, that Abbey was a superstar and destined to lead a Clan and more. I asked her to be Consul of Arcona because I knew she would succeed and I knew she would build upon Arcona's years of success. I was not mistaken.

Abbey has had a unique and potentially singular impact on our club. She is well respected (even loved) by many of our members, she is a creative force across a multitude of our activities, and she is a steady hand in times of crisis. I am fortunate to have had her as a Consul and our club is fortunate to have her as a member/leader in any capacity.

Abbey, I look forward to seeing you improve our club for years to come. Congratulations on a fantastic three years in charge of Arcona and Congratulations on your new Emerald Dagger.

GM Pravus

Atty is a unique member and leader in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Her infectious charisma has allowed her to form connections and inspire loyalty in anyone she interacts with. Even those that don't agree with her or particularly like her seem to still get caught in her web. I mention this not for her work as Consul, but as Praetor to the Voice.

Character Sheet remands have been a point of contention for members both new and returning members. Atty's personality has really shone in how she has patiently and warmly worked with members on their remanded sheets. She engages with them on the side, in a pm, or a follow up email or google doc. She doesn't just remand someone and then shrug her shoulders- she helps them work towards getting it approved. Since her last merit in October of 2017, Atty has approved a staff-leading 77 out of 244 non-auto approved character sheets (~35%) for the Brotherhood. This does not account for all the time she has spent working with members on making sure they are able to get their sheets up to spec with the most recent guidelines, all while doing it with a smile. This has generated better feedback from members about the entire Character Sheet creation process, and I'm extremely grateful for the work she has put in. She is active in Voice chat when I need to review a policy and even if she disagrees with me on something, she will always follow through and do what is required of her as Praetor. On top of that, she has been instrumental in proof-reading all of my reports, announcements, and fiction updates (sans the ones during GJWXII). When I was writing the finale, however, she stepped up in a big way to help me deliver a massive 14-page fiction update that I wouldn't have been able to finish without her to bounce ideas off of, check my thought process, and quite honestly to believe in me that I could get it done.

That's not something that is tangible. I can't quantify it with metrics or statistics. But it's the kind of thing that makes Atty special. She genuinely cares and wants to help.

As a Dark Councilor, it's been an honor working with her as the emissary to the Dark Council for Arcona. While we've argued on at least 75 different fronts- But when all is said and all is done:Atty has her beliefs, and sticks to them while understanding the importance of comprise and resolution to progress forward.

As a member, I think that the DJB is a better place with her as a part of it, I'm grateful to have her sticking around on Voice staff, and I look forward to all she will continue to do with whatever she sets her mind to next.

Voice of the Brotherhood

Three years, three years of corralling one of the most active, insane group of people you're likely to come across. You did it with the utmost patience and, usually, grace. You encouraged, you lead by example, and you kept the kids informed. You slapped me down when I got out of line and taught me (tried, boy did you try) tact. My time in leadership thus far has been reliant on your guiding hand and assistance. I can't say enough about the things we've gone through the past three years, keeping Arcona from devolving into a madhouse of egos and chaos. You're god damn brilliant, and you deserve both this award and a break. Congrats, Blinky.

Kordath Bleu Arcona, Consul

That's mine, Terran has expressed interest in saying some words (I had fallen asleep by this point last night, else I'd have something tangible here) and the Arconae put something together if you want to use it.

I never thought I'd celebrate such a drastic change in Arcona so much, but truly, Abbey has left her mark on the Clan and changed it for the better. She has an effortless grace in inspiring her membership, encouraging them, nurturing them and turning them into a formidably close collection of kin that warms the dead little-shriveled thing I used to call a heart. I also crunched some numbers. 1088 days continuously as Consul. I did half that in two separate terms and found it hard to deal with the day-to-day SNAFUs the DB routinely throws your way. That she managed over a thousand days without having a conniption is a feat of endurance that makes taking the cloth and becoming a nun very small beer indeed. She will truly be missed as Consul, and on behalf of the clan, the Arconae and myself, I'd love her to be thanked in a manner befitting the finest Consul this Clan has ever seen. Well done Abbey, now get some rest. You've more than earned it.

Jon (Sashar Arconae)
