Since his last promotion, Atra has served admirably as Quaestor of Shar Dakhan. He designed and ran a multi-week competition within CNS that had an admirable turnout, 12 events over 4 weeks and a runon. It's always interesting to write a rec like this because you have to count so many awards... clusters of fire in the hundreds, multiple pendants of blood, an SC, 14 Crescents including 2 Rubies, and several Clusters of Ice. Atra is exactly what quality leadership within this Clan has always been about- drive, work on behalf of his charges, and activity. When I was Consul I asked that he be installed as Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. I knew he would excel. My bet paid off, and he has indeed done very well. Reaching the ranks of the Equites requires more than just activity, it requires solid leadership. Atra embodies this. He deserves elevation. I am very happy to lend this recommendation on his behalf that he be made an Equite forthwith.

~Macron Goura Sadow, Consul Emeritus

I see alot of myself in Atra, he's hard headed and is highly self-motivated. He was given House Shar Dahkan, a House that is relatively new to CNS' history. It doesn't have the fictional background like House Marka Ragnos, but never the less he has taken on the job of Quaestor and has over the last couple of months morphed the house into the military might of Naga Sadow. As a member of the Guild Officers in the DJB SWTOR guild, he has helped with inviting new members to the guild, and assisting with keeping member notes organized. Keep at it Atra and I'm damn sure you'll be going far in the DJB. Congrats on your promotion bud.

~ OPM Fremoc Pepoi, Fist of the Brotherhood, Son of Sadow

I have been on Summit for a long time and there are very few times that a member effortlessly joins into the unit so fully. Yet within days of him joining the Clan he was a whirlwind of activity: never slowing down, always looking for more to do to get promoted. He was a Dark Jedi Knight in a matter of weeks instead of the months it takes some members…but he wasn’t just happy with getting DJK in breakneck pace, shortly before he became DJK he joined the summit as HSD Qua. Where we again see his nonstop energy come out again, he organized and ran the recent Sons vs Clan: Children of Revolution event nearly on his own with input from several members in the clan. In his other summit duties, he is always a calm voice of reason that speaks up amidst the chaos and gives us older members something to pick at. He has been a more than valuable member in this Clan.

In terms of activity that he has done, since SWTOR came out he has earned hundreds of Clusters of Fire, he’s entered in and ran many competitions. He’s earned an Anteian Cross recently. However what Atra has done has already been noted by several other members. There is more than just being active and entering competitions and participating that marks one ready to be a Equite. It is their desire to their Clan’s success in the DB, they jump in the trenches and show what exactly makes them a member of the unit they are in, they don’t just sit back and talk. They talk the talk and walk the walk, which is exactly what Atra does. He isn’t merely content with sitting there and participating in one comp and going nope I’m done, he enters a comp then he pushes other people to do the same to show that they can beat the QUA. Another thing that makes Atra a valuable asset is if something doesn’t go the way it was planned to go he doesn’t give up, he rolls with the flow and rides the waves and comes up with a different way to achieve the desired outcome.

There is just one way to show appreciation for such a member and that is a promotion to the next rank, which in the case of Atra is to promote him into the Equites and make him an Obelisk.

Thank you Atra for all that you do.

-Exarch Teu Pepoi CNS Proconsul

From the moment I first read his name back in a run-on when he was escaping the imprisonment forced upon him by Macron, Atra Ventus has very quickly grown into a strong presence in Clan Naga Sadow. On a personal level, one need look no further than Atra's record, to find an almost never-ending chain of medals and awards, both from his strong fictional presence, along with his activity in TOR. In the long years many older members have been here, few have assembled such a vast collection, and Atra's nearly nine-hundred Clusters of Fire stand as a testament to the Dark Jedi Knight's activity.

Atra's presence does not merely end with his own achievements, however. No, his true contribution to the Dark Brotherhood, and specifically Clan Naga Sadow, has been seen since his ascension to Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. In an age of transition, with the emerging era of TOR and the new Animated Series, it has been a demanding task to build new connections between the different generations. Yet, in the recent weeks, Atra has spearheaded just such a task, working together with Tsainetomo Sadow to launch the recent Sons vs Clan event, which in spite of being Atra's first major competition, and his own complications with accessing the internet, has nevertheless proven a remarkable success. Where many new Quaestors lock themselves away in their own House's fiefdom, Atra not only stepped out and ran an event for the Clan as a whole, but has breathed fire back into the bellies of many names that had long since begun to fade, and the recent feud is something that Atra should be able to consider himself very proud of.

With all things considered, therefore, I warmly extend my support to this recommendation and congratulate Atra on his rise to the ranks of the Equites and hope that he continues to serve the Clan -- and the Dark Brotherhood as a whole -- well in the days to come.

Xanos Zorrixor, Son of Sadow

Dark Jedi Knight Atra Ventus is an excellent example of the new generation of leaders in Clan Naga Sadow. Becoming Quaestor at a relatively low rank amongst a new Summit he has stepped up to the task well. He has worked hard to learn effective leadership, has participated well in discussing ideas and plans with other Summit members and former leaders and being an active part in helping shape the Clan's future, He also stays visible and communicates well with the House Shar Dakhan members through reports and emails and is an active presence in IRC. Most importantly he sets a good example to the members of House and Clan by being active himself, participating in competitions and winning crescents, and clearly is a valued participant in the Brotherhood's TOR guild judging by the high number of clusters of fire awarded. He sets a great example by this to newer members and prospective leaders.

For all the above I am more than happy to add my support to his promotion into the Equites.

Malisane Sadow

To say that Atra has been an asset to me is quite literally the biggest understatement. Atra has helped me transition into my position tremendously even though he himself is relatively new in the position. He is always offering to help in any way he can. I know I can always go to him and he will drop everything to help me.

Atra helped me set up my Doom Train tracking sheets and has helped me with my wiki page. He is never too busy to answer questions or offer assistance. His work on SvC speaks for itself. Atra is and always will be a natural leader. He is single handedly responsible for the entire SvC event. In my opinion his actions have assisted in making Naga Sadow a more unified Clan. That one action has changed the future of the entire clan in my humble opinion.

Among everything else he has done and continues to do he was also an avid ToR player. He served as Community Helper and assisted Fremoc and I with inviting new members. Atra also assisted several DJB members with various tasks in game such as leveling, completing Operations, completing Flashpoints, etc.

Atra's influence doesn't stop at Clan level either. He took the initiative and wrote the RO guidelines that are currently used by the DJB. Without being asked he saw the need and took the time to write out specific guidelines which will not only help our new journeymen but our existing members.

It is my honour to recommend Atra for promotion. He has more then earned it. His hard work and dedication to the Brotherhood is inspiring.

  • DJK Kalia Phoenyx

When I first caught wind of a newly Knighted member by the name of Atra Ventus, I must admit that I was hoping that this man would be different from the latest glut of largely inactive members who’d joined lately looking to lurk and/or simply pad their own stats.

I’m happy to say that he definitely exceeded my expectations a hundred times over.

Though his own personal activity is nothing to gloss over, my focus was and is on what he would do to improve the experiences of the members around him. After he’d been named as Quaestor of the fledgling House Shar Dakhan, I made it my business to let him know as a then Clan-elder that I’d be around to give him advice as he needed it. I should’ve known better, as he immediately took me up on my offer, inundating both inbox and chat client with his questions. Atra wanted to make his mark to better his situation, not for personal glory, but to make the time he’d volunteer in the DB worthwhile for both him and his peers. He noted a disconnect between the younger members of Naga Sadow and its elders, and immediately set to mending the rift. It was largely due to Atra’s efforts that the membership of CNS has opened its lines of communication between one another, culminating in the brilliant “Children of Revolution” or “SvC” comp that pitted those self-same elders against the rest of the Clan. By the event’s end, Atra had shown the members that the Sons and Daughters of Sadow can indeed be a valuable resource to tap, while simultaneously keeping the Sons ‘honest’, reminding them that with great tenure comes the responsibility to share their experience with those that came after them.

This sort of selflessness and genuine care for his home is rare, even amongst those of us who’ve been around the block a few times. He acts the part; it’s time he’s recognized for his efforts. It has been my pleasure to serve with him, and it is my pleasure to know him. I foresee great things from Atra, provided the Club rewards him for his unrelenting efforts to make his corner of it better. Therefore, it is without reservation and with no hesitation that I lend my name to the list of those calling for this young man’s promotion. Congratulations, Atra. You’ve certainly earned it!

~ OPM Tsainetomo Keibatsu

Atra Ventus is a very valuable member of the Clan Naga Sadow Summit and someone the Dark Brotherhood is fortunate to have in it’s ranks. He has shown the initiative in running an entire event by himself, as well as taking on other projects on his own. Atra has also been a great Quaestor while continuing to be a highly active member. Always around, Atra is a great example to other members.

SvC: Children of Revolution was a major event within CNS that fictionally pitted many of the Sons of Sadow against other members of the Clan in an internal conflict. On his own, Atra came up with the idea for this, contacted various long-time members of the Clan, and orchestrated the development of this event. He led the team that designed the fiction and competitions, and was a major player throughout the Runon. This demonstrated Atra’s amazing ability to plan and work well with others, which is a great asset to have on the Clan Summit. By running this event, Atra took a lot of work off my own shoulders, which means a lot to me. I’m extremely grateful for his assistance and contributions to the Summit. Atra’s drive and initiative in situations like this gets things done when they need to be.

Despite being busy with setting up and running this event, Atra continued to be a highly effective Quaestor during this time and after. Atra is an absolute blessing to have on Summit. He releases reports and encourages his members without requiring a nudge or assistance. Atra has contributed to Summit discussions and fit into the position like an old pro.

Atra is also always at the forefront, posting in Runons and entering competitions himself. He does what every Summit member should in Runons: he posts in them, developing the plot and working Clan members into the story. He also participates in competitions while encouraging others to do the same. Oftentimes, a leader will drop off in competition activity once becoming a Summit member, but Atra has not. He has maintained a high level of activity over the entire time he has been in the Dark Brotherhood.

Finally, while doing all this Atra has also found time to work on projects for the entire Brotherhood. Once again, he took the initiative and wrote a set of Runon guidelines that can now be referenced by any member of the Brotherhood. He did this to be a benefit to all, specifically noting that he did not want it to be only a Clan thing. This is a great example of someone who looks at the bigger picture and seeks to improve the world outside just his own House or Clan.

I’m really glad to have Atra on CNS’s Summit. He works well with everyone and was a major factor in closing a long-standing rift between many of the Clan’s members. He is frequently on IRC, Gtalk, and available by email, and I find his opinion to be very valuable. As a model Quaestor and highly active member, Atra is more than worthy of ascension to Equite One. Congratulations, Obelisk Templar Atra Ventus!
