He is active on IRC (both in #taldryan and #db), and an active contributor to the Taldryan mailing lists. This is in addition to Omega completing 133% of the required checkboxes for a promotion to Jedi Hunter, including but not limited to: over 20 competitions completed, earned 2 Pendants of Blood, over 50 Clusters of Fire, completion of all (or nearly all) of the Shadow Academy leadership courses, an Anteian Cross for his efforts, and 3 competition placements. As of this writing, I believe has completed nearly all the written guidelines for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight as well, so I expect to be writing another glowing recommendation in the coming weeks. From every indication I have, Kira isn't just just shattering the requirements he needs for each promotion, he's actively working on the next step before he receives one. His dedication and drive is exemplary and should be noted as such. Not only is this promotion given due to simply passing a checklist, but more importantly, Omega Kira truly and fully deserves this elevation to Jedi Hunter. Omega has made sure to complete all the requirements for his next promotion well before his time in grade requirements are up. He has participated in 13 competitions in the last month while placing in 2 of them. He is also very active in keeping up with this academics completing 6 SA courses and also helping the SA staff by pointing out some technical and exam / note inconsistencies. Not only is Omega a beast mode of activity he is also the first one to step up and volunteer to help his fellow House and Battle Team members out. When Armags and myself put out the call for replacement as Harbingers BTL, his was the first application we received. Dinaari, Taldryan and the Brotherhood as a whole are lucky to have a member of Omega's caliber. He's been a delightful apprentice. He started off asking me (on a near constant basis) for new tasks and assignments, and eventually (ie: within a week) transitioned himself to only really asking me for advice and keeping me updated on what he was doing. He's gotten to the point as an apprentice (in just 2 weeks and a little bit) that I'm not really needed. Hell, yesterday, he asked me what he should be doing while I'm on vacation other than "do all of the things." Suffice to say, I was pretty pleased with his plan. These above activities, combined with completing the suggested guidelines for promotion to Guardian. Congratulations Omega, and I suspect I'll be writing something similar in about 3 weeks time.
