James has been deserving of recognition for some time and I am honored to put him forth for EQ1. Since his last promotion, September 9th, 2017, he's served over two years as a Social Media Staff Member, he's competed in 36 competitions, organized/co-organized 9, written 4,525 words of fiction, and most recently won his first Gold Nova for placing first in the "A Venue to Die For" competition.

In terms of recognition he'd obtained 111 clusters, 14 Crescents, and 6 seals of enmity.

While his career may not be as "flashy" as others he is a constant presence with CSP since his break from February - June, 2021 and immediately came out with a grand slam in the RoS.

James is one of those individuals whose name pops up often in TG, and I was very excited when he came to CSP this summer. For just getting back into being active again, he partook in 6 RoS: Escalation comps, impressively earning him a shiny, gold nova in the process! Before the RoS started, he and I had a chance to talk and get to know each other more, and he made it clear he was more than willing and happy to help in any way possible to see CSP continue to grow and develop whether through projects or activity. With his activity and the addition of his two-year time as part of the Social Media staff, James has earned the honor of rising up to EQ1. Welcome to the Equites, James! Looking forward to working with you, and seeing what other endeavors you pursue during your time with us in CSP. Congratulations!!!

I’m thrilled to be able to recommend that James be promoted to Equite 1. James has been active in each area of the club’s main activities, including running some of his own competitions, and he’s a friendly person, always willing to share his thoughts and to listen. During his time in the club he has also involved himself in wiki work for the clan in the past and spent time as a staff member for the Social Media Tribune. This kind of initiative is great to see in any member and a good sign that there will always be more on the horizon. While real life may have pulled James away for a time, he came back with a vengeance, and I couldn’t be happier to see that.

To put in the numbers since his last promotion, James has organized 5 competitions, co-organized another 4, and participated in 36 competitions - earning 15 crescents ranging from Topaz to Ruby. He has written 4,525 words of fiction, participated in 2 ACC matches, and passed 18 SA courses - earning him 4 degrees in the process. He’s earned a Dark Cross, an Anteian Cross, a Gold Nova, 91 Clusters of Fire, 16 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Graphite, and 6 Seals of Enmity from the recent RoS: Escalation.

I think it’s time we recognize these accomplishments and welcome James Malum into the ranks of the Equites. Congratulations, James! Drinks are on you!
