Every year on May 4th, we award Seals of Loyalty to members nominated by the DC and Consuls--typically one per DC, two per CON. Normally I would have asked for those nominations last week, but this year we're doing something different. In November 2015 (we used to do SoLs twice a year), eagerly awaiting the release of The Force Awakens, Sarin awarded SoLs to all Clanned and positioned members in the club. This year, we're taking a page out of Sarin's book: every member of the club who has logged into the website between January 1, 2025 and May 4, 2025 will receive a Seal of Loyalty. That this club has not just lasted but thrived for 30 years is a remarkable testament to our community, the leaders at all levels who have kept the ship on course, and especially our members who keep engaging year after year. Nicfer has been around Clan Arcona for a little while now, and is one of those constant, steady members you love to see as the core of a Clan. With his recent transfer from House Galeres over to House Qel-Droma, his interest and activity seems to have been revitalized and I for one highly look forward to seeing Nicfer taking part in upcoming events we've got planned for the House and Clan.
As the Quaestor of House Qel-Droma, Wally is going to cover the nitty-gritty specifics of the numbers but suffice it to say: Nicfer has steadily chipped away at progress toward this and at this point it is more than deserved. It is my honor to recommend that Nicfer Luthol be awarded a Sapphire Blade!

Since his last recognition, Nicfer has accumulated a neat spread of activity by participating in 58 competitions, earning a Shadow Academy degree, ranked up in the Envoy Corps, gathered 61 Clusters of Fire, 3 Clusters of Ice and 3 shiny crescents. This helped contribute to earning 135,920 credits (in this economy!?) for the Shadow Clan and their own equipment and ship!
Beyond the numbers, Nicfer, has taken initiative by running his first competition that a lot of people have enjoyed and taken part of! This shows more and growing confidence in being a part of the community and engaging with our activity streams.
Likewise, we're all very happy to have Nicfer actively around and engaging with the Clan. We love having him around, and hope that this award will continue to show our appreciation for not just his activity, but his presence!
