Every year on May 4th, we award Seals of Loyalty to members nominated by the DC and Consuls--typically one per DC, two per CON. Normally I would have asked for those nominations last week, but this year we're doing something different. In November 2015 (we used to do SoLs twice a year), eagerly awaiting the release of The Force Awakens, Sarin awarded SoLs to all Clanned and positioned members in the club. This year, we're taking a page out of Sarin's book: every member of the club who has logged into the website between January 1, 2025 and May 4, 2025 will receive a Seal of Loyalty. That this club has not just lasted but thrived for 30 years is a remarkable testament to our community, the leaders at all levels who have kept the ship on course, and especially our members who keep engaging year after year. Thank you and congratulations, everyone!

Since I rejoined Clan Odan-Urr there has been a consistent and dedicated member I have kept my eye on. That member is Waza Sunrider. Back when I was PCON, I tasked him with revitalizing the ToR Guild which he took on with enthusiasm as he is a regular player. He breathed life into the Guild and still pushes members to play which is evident by the event he recently ran where he invited and encouraged members throughout the Brotherhood to come and play. While the turn out wasn’t what he expected (which is sometimes the case for these things) he showed up and was there to play with whomever decided to participate. He didn’t let it get him down and he pushed through. His tenacity and commitment is one of the main reasons I hired him as the Battleteam Leader of the Proving Ground which is a BT geared towards showing new members the ropes. It is a role that he doesn’t take lightly as he consistently sends messages, reminders, and competition advertisements to the members of his team while guiding them through the ropes of the club. This includes checking in on them through email and discord chat on a regular basis to keep our newer members engaged and constantly moving forward. In working closely with him. I would consider him one of the better friends I have made, not just in the clan, but in the club. He is so important and has been a key player in the Odan-Urr’s success and I’m so glad to have him on my leadership team. In addition to his mentorship, Waza also actively participates and chooses to lead by example. He has participated in 31 competitions and organized 1 of his own earning himself - 1 Crescent with Ruby Star, 2 Crescent with Amethyst Stars, 4 Crescent with Sapphire Stars, 3 Crescent with Emerald Stars, 3 Clusters of Fire, 51 Clusters of Ice because where he has truly shined is in RP. He has amassed 16,594 words in just 3 RP activities, 7194 in 3 DM, and 1795 in 2 fiction entries. He has also earned 3 Clusters of Graphite, 1 Scroll of Indoctrination, 1 Scroll of the Master for mentoring a student to JM 4, and 11 Seals of Transcendence. Waza has done an impressive job and thanking him with his first Sacramental is an honor and privilege. Thank you for all that you do, brother!
