From the 16 July, 2008 Grand Master Report:

The audience chamber on board of the Dark Brotherhood Flagship Nightfall was enormous, and it took several minutes for the chamber to fill with Elders of the Dark Side. Moving into predesignated areas assigned by rank and order, the Dark Brotherhood's most powerful came to silence as two black armored guards moved into the room and marshaled the arrival of the Dark Council. Grand Master Sarin, The Dark Lord of the Sith, stepped into the chamber and walked at a measured pace between the assembled rows of Dark Brotherhood Elders. The Dark Council walked paces behind him and moved to their positions on the central dais of the chamber.

Sarin moved to the Iron throne, his cold gaze fixed upon those who he deemed worthy of attendance. Few earned that moment of recognition and even fewer would ever see additional power bestowed upon them. Equality was a lie and the Grand Master never found that axiom more true than when he looked at two Elders of the same rank, but obviously not of the same power.

Expectation hung in the air as the Elders of the Brotherhood considered the reasons that this assembly was called. Would the reclamation of Antei begin today? Would an unfortunate Consul have his life expectantly cut short?

Tapping a console on his Throne, the Grand Master motioned to guards at the far end of the audience chamber. The guards stepped forward and grasped the handles on two towering kreel wood doors and opened the chamber for the arrival of the Deputy Grand Master.

Entering the room unarmed and unarmored, Muz Sadow moved towards the Grand Master's throne. Kneeling at the feet of his Master and dropping his head, Muz echoed words spoken for thousands of years.

"What is thy bidding, my master."

To many in the rooms surprise, the Grand Master unsheathed his diamond sword from a hidden sheath upon his throne. With the skill capable of only those who have reached Mastery, Sarin guided his blade at near impossible speeds across the form of the Deputy Grand Master. To those in attendance, it merely appeared that the Grand Master was attempting to frighten his Deputy, but to the Dark Council and many within paces of the Iron Throne, it was apparent the Grand Master was actually carving intricate patterns into the flesh of his apprentice. To those of the Krath Order and Star Chamber the patterns took on an even greater meaning. The Dark Lord was placing runes of Sith Sorcery upon his apprentice.

"Equality is a lie," the Grand Master's cold voice echoed across the chamber as his diamond sword continued to cut and shred its way through his apprentices robes. "Equality is a method that allows the weak to cling to the strong."

"Today, many of you re-learn this lesson. Today, I bestow power upon the strong. Today, I elevate the most powerful of the Masters. Today, I elevate Muz Sadow to Dark Prophet."

Dark Prophet: If you take the time to do a search on the Dark Jedi Brotherhood roster page, you will notice that we have three active Dark Prophets. The low number of individuals holding this rank is an indication of the work, dedication, and superior productivity needed to earn the final elevation in the Order of Elders. Today, we welcome one more. Congrats to Dark Prophet Muz Sadow.

I think it is safe to say that we all understand Muz's impact to the Dark Brotherhood since he has joined. To remind yourself, just take a look at this website and your profile. If you aren't much for graphics, try taking a look at the photos of Muz and Troy Denning. Then realize that Muz drove several hours to that Troy Denning book signing to ensure that the Dark Brotherhood would be represented. This is the dedication of Muz. This is why Muz gets to step up to the big boy club and wear the stripes of "Soon to be Grand Maser".

Everyone take the time to congratulate Muz on this rare and perhaps highest honor we can give a member of the Dark Brotherhood.

To ensure impartial grading in the 2008 Independence Games the Dark Council offered to grade the events. Unfortunately, there was a major slow down in the process and people were beginning to get antsy about the results. Muz, however, stepped up to the plate and delivered big for my IG team and the members of the Brotherhood.

In addition to grading 20 events on his own, Muz was a catalyst in the design - and name - of the new Seal for the 2k8 IGs. For delivering so much effort in such a short period of time... and for the lasting mark it will have on our club... I offer this as a small token of my gratitude.

I believe the recommendations below my own cover the lengthly reasons that Muz Keibatsu is worthy of the Silver Sash. Rather than recount the unbelievable amount of work and dedication Muz has put into the Dark Brotherhood, I would like to talk about what makes Muz the absolute right person for this award.

Muz Keibatsu was selected as the Deputy Grand Master one year ago and his reception was less than ideal. Members complained that Muz was a one trick pony or that he possessed some sort of insurmountable bias that would never allow him to excel as a Deputy Grand Master. Some members even went as far as to say Muz would never be appointed as the Grand Master and that he might not even make it six months as the DGM.

I think it is safe to say that these members were wrong. Muz has proven to be one of the most formidable and accomplished Deputy Grand Masters in the history of the Dark Brotherhood. His work and selfless service to our club have placed him in the rarefied air that only our Immortals have achieved.

This last year with Muz as DGM has assured everyone in the Dark Brotherhood that he is the absolute right person for this award and the absolute right person to succeed me as Grand Master.

Congratulations Muz, I am very thankful for all you have done.

Grand Master Sarin Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood

In an age where few stand worthy of the organization’s highest honors, Dark Jedi Master Muz Keibatsu Sadow surely stands foremost among them. Deputy Grand Master, Sith Lord, and Champion of the Antei Combat Centre are but a few of this man’s achievements. The laurels he has garnered in four years of service eclipse most of those earned by influential members in twice the time.

Muz has served as Deputy Grand Master for the last year helping Sarin to reshape the club into something not only more interesting and entertaining, but also something of which to be proud as a member, administrator, and fan. He has put in the long hours with us creating events like the Rite of Supremacy and the Great Jedi War and has risen to the occasion time and again.

While balancing the nebulous duties of DGM, Muz has also continued to contribute to the fictional nature of the club with his impressive Hand to Hand Guide. His second compendium, blending canonical information with an expert crafting of fanon, is not only useful and interesting, but serves to more intricately weave the mythological fabric of the Dark Brotherhood we’re all working to create.

Before ascending as the Shadow Hand, Muz was the Brotherhood’s Herald and provider of professional quality art that would otherwise be unavailable to us. Though his responsibilities turn his hand to the more mundane policing of general club activities and member management, Muz continues to find time to help supplement the current Herald’s work with his own. Rather than losing the talents of an excellent Herald, the Brotherhood simply retained them while exploiting yet more of Muz’s dynamic energy.

Muz is also a pleasure to work with maintaining his creativity and positive attitude regardless of the situation or project. Muz delivers and he delivers quality in a time when one or the other is rare enough let alone both. I am most impressed with Muz in all aspects of his character as a member, a developer, and most importantly, a friend.

Raken Praetor Dude

There are many people who go above and beyond what is asked of them, and truly contribute to the whole of the Brotherhood. However, it was a pretty easy choice to determine who was that one special member who just went all out and was an integral part of the Dark Brotherhood this past year. He was instrumental in running a fairly problem-free GJW, ensuring that everything was completed and graded in record time. He is constantly dealing with all issues around the DB, dealing with the various problems and crises that do pop up quite frequently. He continues to be a large provider of graphics and related work for the numerous projects that are coming down the pipe. The amount of hours that are put in are staggering.

It's hard to really grasp what Muz does from the outside looking in. So much of his work is never really seen, or takes so much time to be seen, due to the sheer amount. I have however seen him work on a constant basis. I know what he goes through as DGM, and "on the side" he continues to produce mass amounts of material for use by the Dark Brotherhood as a whole, and not just for certain parts of it. Everything he does is for the whole of the club. His was the name that first popped into my head when someone needed to be chosen for this honour, and he is more than deserving of it. Congratulations!

For over a thousand years the Dark Lords of the Sith have sought perfection through change, growth, and evolution. The tool of their empowerment was their passion for success.

I am honored to elevate one such member of the Dark Brotherhood to the rank of Dark Jedi Master and the title of Darth for these very reasons.

Muz Keibatsu Sadow has served the Dark Brotherhood and his efforts have lead to growth and evolution in every area he has touched. Over the course of the last fourteen months Muz has contributed more to the Dark Brotherhood than most members of the Brotherhood have contributed in their life time.

Muz's accomplishments in no particular order are the modernization of our Robes and the creation of a member selection tool allowing for the customization of said robes. He also created a lightsaber creation tool that had revolutionized the lightsaber creation for the entire Dark Brotherhood. Muz has also played a heavy role if not the most important role in the updating and creation of Dark Brotherhood Banners. All in all, every dossier in the Dark Brotherhood now bears the work of Muz.

In addition to the work that Muz handled as his primary duties as Herald, he also contributed to the Rite of Supremacy by grading hundreds of fiction events and serving as a judge on several events. His timely grading of the fictional submissions led to the fastest turn around times the Dark Brotherhood has ever seen.

Muz has followed up his Herald work as Deputy Grand Master. His primary duty since becoming DGM has been the creation of the GJW rules and the editing of the now 80+ pages of the GJW plot. Muz's work in both of these areas has been exceptional and ahead of schedule.

The final grand cherry on top of Muz's work was the creation of the H2H guide. This guide serves as a tool for all Dark Brotherhood members when developing their characters for play in the ACC and for use in Dark Brotherhood fiction. Muz took this project upon himself and completed it in record time.

Muz, congratulations to DJM and welcome to the two man team of Darths :p

The path of a Dark Jedi is one of Strength and Power. To achieve mastery one must possess the first and seize the second. Through his hard work, dedication, and strength Muz Ashen Keibatsu Sadow has done just that, rising from a lowly Apprentice to Dark Jedi Master in a swift three and a half years, a feat that few even myself have been unable to achieve. As an AED, QUA, and PCON of Clan Naga Sadow he helped bring the clan to new levels of activity and excellence. As the Herald he placed before the Brotherhood a plethora of new projects and worked tirelessly to insure the smooth operation of one of the busiest offices of the Dark Council. Now as the Deputy Grand Master he serves the Iron Throne with the same dedication and evenhandedness that we have come to expect from this man that is very well respected. In his time here Muz has placed his friends, his family, and this Brotherhood above all else. There are those who whisper in shadows about how the man has flaws too deep to allow the honors he has received. They say that he's not right or unnatural, I say that he is everything we could become, and what we should aspire to be, Honorable, Strong, and Powerful. It is my most sincere privilege to recommend that Muz Ashen Keibatsu Sadow be elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Master.

  • Krath Epis Shin'ichi Endymiron Keibatsu

Muz has stayed up until the wee hours of the morning and worked tirelessly creating sabers and robes. His recent work on the Hand to Hand Guide shows his time, effort, skill and devotion to the Brotherhood.

In his time as DGM he has spent hours upon hours working to help get the next GJW off the ground, often coming home from work and spending the rest of the night on the computer until I would drag him off to bed, not to mention weekends as well.

He has gone above and beyond the call of duty to create a better Dark Jedi Brotherhood for us all. Muz Keibatsu Sadow, we are in your debt and it is my privilege, nay, my pleasure to recommend you for this promotion to Dark Jedi Master. ~KP Ashia Kagan Keibatsu

Muz is one of the best members that this organization has. His tireless and unceasing work towards projects that benefit the membership of this club, such as the hand-to-hand guide, the saber guide, robes, war banners, and many other works have greatly enhanced the fun factor in the Brotherhood. I can't think of anyone who has put in as many hundreds of hours and part of their life to make this club a better and more fun place. I have known Muz since my beginning as a member, and I have found him at all times to be thoughtful and available to help others. Even as he was appointed Herald and DGM, he has continued to take time to participate meaningfully in CNS conclaves as one of our Inner Order and a Son of Sadow. I am proud to consider him a friend and ally, and a role model. In summation, Muz definitely deserves to be a Dark Jedi Master- something long overdue.

-- SBL Mononoke "Macron" Keibatsu-Goura CNS Consul Fourth Caste of the Inner Order

No matter what, Muz seems to have time for people who need help in the Brotherhood. Granted he does a great amount of work for this club, graphic and coding wise, he still gets in touch with the individual members of the Brotherhood. Whether it's slapping people around through IRC or email (figuratively speaking), he still sparks the individual member greatly. Aside from his devotion to the individual, his work has been done in a timely manner and in great quality. Toi know the man is a true honor and it is truly time that he be promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Master to show him appretiation for all the work he has done and will continue to do for the Brotherhood. Congrats, big bro!!!

-SBM Shikyo "Rurouni" Keibatsu Former Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos, Clan Naga Sadow

I've had the pleasure of working with Muz over the last month since his appointment as Deputy Grand Master. When Muz was chosen, there was no application process. There was one choice open the Dark Brotherhood and it was clearly Muz Keibatsu Sadow.

Since taking office, what has impressed me most about the Deputy Grand Master has been his immediate impact on the myriad projects ever at hand. I could go on to laud what projects I've seen Muz complete, his work on the scoring system for the coming Great Jedi War, or his constant presence both on IRC and email to lend any member from the Grand Master to the questioning Novice his help. I don't need to do that here however as anyone reading this can see for themselves Muz's projects linked of the main site, participate in and enjoy the next GJW, or simply ask him a question yourself and realize that this is a member who is in this for others first, himself second.

Personally, Muz has helped me by acting as one of the editors and critics of the GJW storyline I've been working on for a number of months. He has read more than 80 pages of text pointing out issues that needed addressing, typos, and helping to work the plot into shape. His assistance to me on this project has been invaluable and its a better story for his efforts. I cannot thank him enough, but perhaps this small blurb is a start.
