A Sapphire Blade for a hard-working Aedile! Raiju has been a solid addition to our leadership Summit in Clan Arcona, and it is with great pleasure and pride I write this recommendation.
Since his last medal, Raiju has organized 6 competitions as well as taken part in 102. Across these competitions he has earned 1 Crescent with Diamond Star, 9 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 1 Crescent with Sapphire Star, 1 Crescent with Emerald Star, and 2 Crescents with Topaz Star. His Fiction, RP, and Gaming activities have earned 34 Clusters of Fire and 13 Clusters of Ice. Raiju has engaged in glorious combat in multiple ACC matches, and even lent his discretion to judge a couple. His focus on engaging with our ACC and RP systems have earned him 5 additional ranks, 3 in the ACC Judging society and 2 in the Envoys. He has also continued to expand his knowledge, passing two additional SA courses.
In addition to all the tracked activity, Raiju has been heavily involved behind-the-scenes working with the Clan Summit to develop the new Clan Arcona storyline. He has contributed both to narrative aspects of the story - assisting with suggestions and direct development for several of the major story elements - as well as mechanical systems which are still being polished up before seeing the light of day.
For all of these reasons, I hereby recommend Raiju to be awarded a Sapphire Blade!

I have rarely lucked into a direct-report that more or less volunteered for the role before I even opened it for applications. I had intended not to take an Aedile immediately, or at all, but Raiju made a very strong showing of being present, engaged, and most importantly, motivated and with a vision to help improve not just the House, but the Clan. Raiju has been very communicative with the members of the House, and even unintentionally flagged the moderation bot because of the wave of introduction-DM's he sent out. This is a perfect example of his desire to support our efforts to connect 1:1 with members to make them feel welcome, included, and heard.
He is also engaging in tough conversations with the larger Arcona Summit. This is hard to navigate for many, and I've been impressed with his poise and ability to speka his mind while also understanding that differences in an opinion are healthy and natural in groups like this.
Raiju continues to bring his long history of being a member in the Brotherhood to his Aedileship. He is leading by example, and most importantly, has stepped up in huge ways to handle the administrative tasks without me having to delegate or even train. He wanted to take on the bulk of our House report, and now, he's taken the initiative on the other awards in this sweep. So, I'm proud to give him one of his own.

Every year on May 4th, we award Seals of Loyalty to members nominated by the DC and Consuls--typically one per DC, two per CON. Normally I would have asked for those nominations last week, but this year we're doing something different. In November 2015 (we used to do SoLs twice a year), eagerly awaiting the release of The Force Awakens, Sarin awarded SoLs to all Clanned and positioned members in the club. This year, we're taking a page out of Sarin's book: every member of the club who has logged into the website between January 1, 2025 and May 4, 2025 will receive a Seal of Loyalty. That this club has not just lasted but thrived for 30 years is a remarkable testament to our community, the leaders at all levels who have kept the ship on course, and especially our members who keep engaging year after year.
