Proconsul Report

Well, it's that time again.

I have to apologize, first off. I had been hoping that Zig would have been around to switch off for last week's report. I should've sent it on Monday. I'm just going to plan on doing the reports from now. So, without further ado, onto the report!

First off, there's a lot of good stuff going on. The Clan Feud project with Taldryan -might- get put off until after the GJW. We only have until Halloween to get it finalized, and running, and finished, and with some of the ideas Kir and I would like to do, it could take longer. And we also need to find missions for the Obelisk and Sith events. I'll get you updated as soon as I can. On that note, if by next week the Feud hasn't started, expect a Clan comp, run by me. :) I want to make sure everyone has enough to do.

Speaking of comps, Gladius, my QUA comp that started before I became PCON is still running, but you only have until the 20th! I've received a number of submissions, and good job to everyone who has submitted so far! But the whole House hasn't yet submitted, so everyone, get something in! It shouldn't be anything that'd take too long. The details can still be found on the message boards, here:

The only events that are to do are the two writing ones. I wasn't able to get a ladder situated for us, so ignore that event. The one everyone could do very simply is to write out the description of their rooms on the asteroid base, so I expect to see a good number of those!

Let's see... oh. Work proceeds apace with the Clan and Order Specifics projects. Yep, those are pretty much my projects, although the individual Clans help with their powers, and Trev (CNS PCON), as well as Oberst, and others have been helping with the Order Powers. Those are usually what takes up a lot of my time, since I'd like them to turn out great, and be usable for the DB. So here's hoping they get final approval when they're done. I want to have them done and approved (hopefully) by the end of October. Trev is hoping that we might have the Order Powers stuff done and ready to be looked into for approval in a week or two. That would be excellent.

Sith and Obelisk, you guys are great. Anyone who thinks it's easy to be one of you, it's not. It's hard to keep up the dedication and determination, especially for the Sith. Many of us can't fly, because firewalls prevent it (yep, even I want to fly). However, Rekio, Oberst and Zeno are a great leadership team, and have been doing wonderful at keeping Tridens together, and a cohesive unit. I commend you three for your great work with the Sith, and I hop it continues to go well. And, as always, I'm here to assist however I can. Blade Dranal has been working over some ideas, and has let me in on some of the details. I think Blade is a strong leader, and I know X-Pilot is always enthusiastic about playing. X-Pilot and Warrior have been working with a plan for a Tarentum Castle JK2 map, and I know I can't wait to see how it turns out. Jade Avius has decided to step down as AED of Gladius, but Jason has found that he'd like to work with Aari Nikus as his AED, and if I can get CoFo to make the right changes, she'll be a great AED> I'm sure Cestus enjoyed her as AED for a day. :P

On a more serious note, and a quick one, since this report is long enough, we need to be focussing ourselves on everything we can. We need to maintain ourselves as an active, cohesive unit. The Clan Website is done for the most part (minor coding stuff, but nothing major), and I'm going to be adding the roster to it, and access, so people who need to can post news. It's going to be the central location for all things pertinent to Tarentum, in conjunction with the message boards. And I also trimmed posts from the Gladius Board. Some of the old topics, I took off, and some of the "hijacked" topics are now gone. There's various topics that are meant to be "spammable," but let's try and make productive use in some things. Word run-ons are good to try and create a sense of flowing, which can then be pressed onto more competitive run-ons. Either way, just have fun, but let's try and remember not to hijack topics from a serious note with spam.

But competition is important, and with school and everything taking precedence, we need to be doing what we can to stay active and together. It doesn't take a whole lot of time, but the effort is what's important. As leaders, we need to make sure the comps we put out are fun, but we also need you as members to tell us what you like to do, what you have time to do, and we need you to dedicate yourselves to the committment we have of excellence. I've asked Oberst to work on a vision/mission statement, to give us a general statement of what we work towards, and he's already come up with something great. As he finishes it, and is happy with the final product, I'll pass it along, and it will hopefully be something to pull ourselves together as the greatest Clan there is. We rock, Tarentum.

Anyways, that's it from the mind of Sithie. Expect more this coming week. And remember, never be afraid to drop something by my inbox, or over the list. We're all friends here. Let's just have fun, because that's what's important.
