Well, it's that time again for another week-filled report of happenings and the good word of Tarentum. A lot of stuff on my mind, but first, this week's message has been brought to you by the kind people of Yridia II! Yes, they may be criminals, they may have been dumped out in the middle of nowhere as a penal colony, but when we got here, they were nice enough to dump us right in the middle of the ocean!

No, seriously, time for a little Clan history, and an explanation. Yridia II is the home of Tarentum. Our castle, which was once the home of House Tarentum, is a piece of Imperial engineering art. It's a masterpiece in ingenuity, and has survived for untold years. It resides on the ocean floor of the planet, which is an ocean world of 99% water! Tarentum has turned our back upon the land, and upon the "citizens" of Yridia II. We have an unsteady truce with them, that we leave them alone, they leave us alone. And the people of Yridia II are tenacious, and don't take to invasion. So far, every attempt at people trying to subjugate the people of Yridia II has been repelled.

Yridia IX is the commercial center for the system. It's the only other planet, besides Yridia II, that has a breathable atmosphere in the system. Now, the names are a bit misleading, since Yridia II is actually the first largest planet in the system, while Yridia IX is the ninth largest, and yes, there's nine planets in the system. Yridia IX has black market traffic, and is known to get all types from the criminal underworld passing through. it's also the home to our very own Mystics of the Black Arts!

Castle tarentum, on Yridia II, the former home of House tarentum, is still the seat of Clan power. It is the home of the Clan Summit, but also the home of Tridens, our Sith House. Koros, one of the moons of Yridia II, is the home of Cestus. It is their training world, and a tough one at that. It has a gravity of one and a half times that of normal, and is barren, provoding harsh temperatures and grounds for the Obelisk, but makes the Obelisk of Cestus some of the toughest around. In the Yridia system, the Itaana asteroid belt finds itself the home to Gladius. On one of the largets asteroids in the field, Gladius has made its home. The asteroid has an old planetary shield, as well as one of the earliest systems of cloaking technology. No one can find the home of the Krath of Tarentum, unless they wish you to find them.

Now, the question may be, "Is that it?" Or maybe, "Why are we finding this out?" Well, first, no, that's not it. Second, the reason you're finding this out is, we have a lot of new members, and I want everyone to get to know their home, to get to know the history of this Clan, and realize, we are one of the best Clans around. We have a lot of talent, and a lot with which to build ourselves up as one of the predominant Clans of the DB. We've got great activity, we've got awesome members, and I really am proud to be able to be among you all, and to serve as your CON.

Yep, that's right, it's finally official. I want to say a word about Zig, as I have before. Zig has been one of the closest friends I have made within the DB, and I know many of you feel the same. We're all blessed to be able to have had him among us, and when he gets back, I know we're going to be glad to have him back, and Zig will be ready to tear up the DB along with the rest of us.

I am looking for a PCON, as I've made note of. I do have a few ideas on who would make a good PCON, but applications are open. If you'd liek to let me know why you think you might be a good choice as PCON, feel free to tell me. I'm going to pick the best person for the Clan, because we, as your Clan, and especially your House Summits, are here to serve. This is all in fun, everybody, and we're going to do what we can to make sure this is an enjoyable experience, and that you all have fun. We've been rewarded to have one of the closest Clans around, and we continue to grow closer every day. I'd encourage everyone to continue to talk, to make friends, and realize, it's easier to find the motivation to do things with friends versus trying to find the desire to "work" with the people you're put into a House with. This should be more than just a grouping of Houses, this should be the people you consider some of your closest friends in the DB.

Anyways, it's beginning to look like I'm saying very little, while typing a lot. Let's remember to get out there, and do our part to stay active and awesome. As a final thought, and to see who actually reads these all the way through, I'm looking to get my own version of a sort of "Project:Storyline" going (stole the name from Jac).
