<> Another week, another report. I'd like to thank HM Kaiann, KHP Alanna and GM Firefox for Chapter Three Grading, as there were a lot of entries in all stages. Its good to see a nice activity level, despite the length of the competition. Chapter Three results will be out when they're completely ready. With Chapter Four's release, you all should have a bit more to do.

In my life... My first day of classes as a full time student was Monday... I'm currently undecided as far as majors go, so don't ask. Heh. Either way, I've got a few credits under my belt from past semesters, but this is the first time where I've got a full class load. I love Vermont, as the state is paying for most of my schooling. Yay for being poor and being a resident! *waves a Vermont flag*

So yeah, I was away all weekend on orientation. That was fun, more or less. I'm part of the largest freshmen class Southern Vermont College has had in years, which I guess is some sort of good thing. I originally had a double single (only one in a two person room), but due to room-mate conflicts, I'm going to end up shuffled into a room with someone else. Add in the fact that my girlfriend and I are having trouble, and this has been one hell of a week.

As I'm sure a few of you know, the World of Warcraft Stress Test Beta has been put up on fileplanet. WoW is a game I'm rather interested in, but I don't think I'll have time to play. If any of you get in and wish to tell me about the game, feel free to do so. :P

I've added a bit more flair to my reports. Yes, I am enjoying writing reports, now that I can continually add more and more useless crap to it every time I write one! Woo! PS: I know this is late. Shush. I've been working a lot on the GJW, so nyah. :P

<>

With Chapter Four's release, I've compiled a small FAQ I've heard in the last couple days. Hopefully this will help clear up any misunderstandings or the like. Any questions not covered here should be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

q1: Why another multiplayer chapter?

a1: The last chapter focused on using multiplayer to infect the Brotherhood. This chapter deals with the battle that is going on to either save, or crush the Shadow Academy.

**q2: **Wheres the singleplayer events?

a2: Soon, but not in this chapter. Yes, there will be more to the GJW, however, there will not be the significant down time that existed between chapters three and four.

q3: No ACC? :(

a3: Not in Chapter Four... The GJW Staff felt that two straight chapters of ACC was enough - We also wanted people to focus as much as they could on the "multimedia" and "puzzle" events.

q4: So can I fight people who aren't in my alliance?

a4: Absolutely. Clean and infected forces have rallied and are not battling each other regardless of former allegiances. Its a fight for the future of the Brotherhood.

**q5: **Can I, as a clean member of Arcona, fight on the same team as a clean member of Tarentum?

a5: Yes. This chapter, at least as far as "teams" go, does not take Clan/Alliance into account - only clean-vs-infected status.

q6: I hate the story topics.

a6: I hate you. No... but seriously, we've tried our best to give a wide variety of fictional topics. I realize what we've offered isn't everyones cup of tea, but hopefully a few of you will enjoy the topics.

*q7: *<Insert comment about the puzzle being too hard, unrealistic, unimaginative, etc>

a7: Sorry guys, can't please everyone. We know the puzzle isn't realistic - As far as I know, none of the Dark Council are skilled in genetics or the like. Still, we thought you guys would like it, and I know plenty of people do, so get it in. Remember, trying will get you participation, at least.

q8: My Clan feels its worthless to participate because we can't win the event due to another Clan being better at a <insert game name> than us. :(

a8: The neat thing about this GJW is how awards will be handled. Yes, a first place Clan will ultimately receive a better award than a third place Clan. However, participation will count in just what a Clan was to receive. Plus, don't forget, that you simply can't earn points if you don't participate. So... Try it out. Play some games. If you lose, at least its marked that you tried - And, we won't forget that a Clan had darn good participation.

q10:The virus isn't real!

a10:Bad Oberst! You can have your characters (and, by extension, yourselves) believe whatever you want about the virus... but most anyone who has been engaged in the GJW most likely realizes that something weird is going on.. Whether or not you buy the "virus" explanation is up to you, I guess. :P

It seems, often enough, that members question just how active the Dark Council is. Every once in a while, an incredibly bright member suggests that we do nothing and sit on our asses all day for no reason, creating stagnation and destroying the club that said member apparently holds so dear. While we may not have 18 hours a day to sit online chatting, this by no means indicates an inactive Council. In fact, at the publishing of this report, I know of projects every single position in the Dark Council is engaged in. Something to keep in mind is that a great many projects are kept largely secret from the membership body until they near completion... I realize this is annoying at times, but there are a number of reasons for such things, ranging from security to something as simple as wanting to surprise people. Either way, the DC is working hard for the membership... Even if you can't always see it.

That being said, you're always welcome to drop me an email or a message and ask whats going on... If I can tell you, I will. If not, I'll let you know that, while things are being worked on, I'm not allowed to give specifics. I'm always happy to inform the general membership or help them any way I can, but sometimes, members prefer to work through rumor mills, which often cause more headaches and hysteria than they do help. So along that vein, if you hear something you're worried about, and your summit staff can't answer your question (or you are summit staff :P), come to me or FF (Jac if he's around is good, too, but remember.. he's busier than any of us.) and we'll do our best to get you an honest and complete answer.

Another All-Starless week. While we had over 30 matches, overall attendance was pretty decent. It was nice to see a number of Star Vipers members show up to play and have some fun. Remember, the ICTE is perhaps the easiest way to earn CF's in the entire DB... So why not try it? Its a good chance to meet people from your own clan, and others.

As for the top Clan this week, that honor goes to **Clan Taldryan**. Taldryan had six different members participating in the ICTE. Congratulations to **Taldryan**! Hope to see you all next Saturday at 4 pm EST in #outerrim, as Flech is getting bored due to lack of medal requests from me... and you don't want to see a bored Chancellor!

CF site is back up, so I'll be extracting the data and getting CF's for CF(har har) done this weekend.

From Last Week:

The Lord Chamberlain's staff is currently at work on compiling copies of the old issues of the Dark Voice from before the split. This project will be an ongoing one as we attempt to rediscover the lost past of our organization. While we've currently uploaded the first seven Dark Voice issues, as well as issues fourteen through twenty-three, we're still missing quite a few issues. Of most importance are issues eight through thirteen, which seem to have disappeared without a trace. Currently, no copies of those Dark Voice's are even known to exist, let alone be easily found. If you have copies of any of these Dark Voices, please feel free to email [me](mailto:mav@chaoslogic.com), or catch me or my Magistrate, Rakhai, on IRC and let us know what you've found.

In any event, beyond Dark Voice issues eight through thirteen, a comprehensive list has been posted at the following URL: [dv.darkjedibrotherhood.com/archive/](http://dv.darkjedibrotherhood.com/archive/). Enjoy the past.. Maybe someone will find some interesting trivia to submit for meetings out of all these old Dark Voice's. It is the hope of the Lord Chamberlain's staff that, in time, we might hold an entire archive of Dark Voice issues... Something that would be truly remarkable. Unfortunately, I'm not too confident we'll ever discover eight through thirteen... Many have tried, and all have failed... unfortunately. :(

Flech is experiencing some rather serious housing problems, so he can't exactly work on the System Manual at the moment. I'm still confident we'll see it before too long, though, so sit tight.

Last week week, Lenzar took first in trivia, while Lorad Desmos took second. Thank you to Spears for submitting another set of quality trivia. :)

Thank you to Korras for running the meeting. I had an orientation program at 12:30 and had to run off before the meeting could start, so... sorry guys.

Also, as I've said before, if you have something you wish announced at the meeting, but you won't be present, feel free to email me whatever you wish announced. This goes for Dark Council Members, Clan Summit members, even a regular member with something he thinks needs to be said at a meeting. Our meetings tend not to last long these days, which is fine, but I'd like to get a bit more bulk into them if possible. So, [Log in to view e-mail addresses].
