Consul Report

Well, this is mainly an update on the clan competition that is running right now. Oh, and some Aedile news also...

On Wednesday, the first round of gaming will begin. It will go through next Saturday. The first fiction event will end at that time as well. To answer some questions, yes, the other writing events will deal with your character in the present day. I just wanted to use this short event as a precursor/try something a little different. Here are the details if you need it: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/competitions.asp?ID=1488

Regarding the gaming, since no teams have been declared, we'll go with the less formal open gaming. There are some rules, though:

You are limited to playing a person individually 3 times per round. Thus, person A could play person B in 3 independent matches with traditional match rules (in JA, 3 matches to 5; so you could, if you win all 3 matches, get 15 kills).

You can play various team matches. The only restrictions on team matches is that you can only play with the same teams twice before the teams must be switched.

Example: Members A, B, and C play against D, E, and F in JA. They can play two matches to 31 kills before the teams must be changed up, whether among the players already there or by adding members. Thus: A, B, and F could play C, D, and E.

Bonuses for BFII and Allegiance still count. 1 extra kill per match up to 5 per round. Other than that, there's no special rules or other bonuses. All standard match rules apply, though the exact type of match (such as weapons used) will be up to the participants. Report all matches to Anshar and Welshman (please include a screen shot of the scores and its a good idea to CC the others who play).

Before I give you an update on the Aediles, I wanted to thank everyone who applied. I saw some good applications, some from people that I expected and others that I did not. I also kept myself out of the process as much as possible because the AED has to be somebody that the QUA can work with and, while I think all of the candidates would work out (and I would approve any of them), I knew from the start that if certain people applied (and they did), I would be more in favor of them. So, while I did offer brief comments, I stayed out of the actual decision process.

As for the Aediles of the two houses, Demos is waiting for a reply for his job offer (he has made a choice, as of this writing, I've not seen a confirmation. It was sent today, so there's a bit more time).

But, in regards to Gladius, Frosty made his choice and he has selected Sato as his Aedile. Congratulations to Sato!

Have a good week. For me, school has started again and while my classes seem interesting, its going to be busy.
