CNS PCON Report #1 - April 15th, 2006

  1. Introduction

Welcome to what should be the first in a series of egotistical rants from myself. When I was QUA, I had a reputation for writing a report almost every Saturday for umm, 83 weeks. Those weeks in which I didn't write a report for some reason (lack of a computer or something) I'd have my AED write the report (Kale wrote #24, and Goatham might have written one).

If you'll notice, these emails are plain-text. I don't like sending HTML emails. I experimented with that in late 1999 and I don't think it went very well.

Since getting PCON, I have been bombarded with emails from the website informing me of new members, promotions, medals, SA course completions, and things like that. I have learned so much in the past few days about what you guys are doing. I was so impressed that I'm actually worried about what my purpose is here. I have some things I'm working on, but what immediately came to mind were these PCON reports. I hope to weave a narrative of what's going on in this clan in a somewhat easy-to-read and enjoyable email.

Total Emails: 45

  1. The ACC

I don't like the ACC very much. I know a lot of people love it though, and I think the ACC is one of this clan's great strengths. From the looks of it, Manji is a trainer. That is awesome.

There was an ACCLive! February Mayhem competition which our own Kat Pridemore seemed to run. We had several people from the clan participate, and they were awarded CFs. Both Siyavash and Mifune got Clusters of Fire, and Mifune got 3rd place.

  1. Shadow Academy

I thought I was going to talk about people who passed SA courses, but meh. I mean, passing Shadow Academy courses is wonderful and all, but the specific stuff like this is already mentioned by Shin'ichi, who does an EXCELLENT job of it. I will say that the Shadow Academy is, umm, nice. I would encourage anyone who hasn't made it to the rank of Protector (PRT) to take them. It's such an easy way to get promoted.

I do think that if someone got one of those special Shadow Academy doodads, or passed a REALLY hard course to pass like the Leadership Proposals course, I'd mention that. (Note: I passed the Leadership Proposals course)

  1. Promotions

I guess I'll talk about the major promotions here.

GRD Raven was promoted to Jedi Hunter. This is excellent. It also bothers me because I don't know Raven very well. And I thought I knew what was going on in this Clan. It obviously shows I have a lot to learn about you guys. Actually, if you read the PCON manual, apparently part of my job is getting to know the members of the Clan.

  1. Seals of Loyalty

Can you believe that it's been three years since the split from the EH? I mean, WHOA, one day you're Fleet Admiral Manesh of the Emperor's Hammer, and then you wake up and you're in the DB. Or something like that. I mean, how many of us were actually around at the time of the split? Not a many. And those guys STILL don't like us very much. What did Kat Pridemore do to the EH? She did nothing. She is a gem as are all of you, and they will still ban you in #emperor's_hammer because they're all mean people. Anyways,

Kat Pridemore, Macron, and Raidoner got Seals of Loyalty, the award they give out during this anniversary. Kat and Macron got them for service to CNS, and Raidoner got his from Jac for service as SWG Tribune.

  1. The Dark Voice

Despite some people complaining that the grammar isn't perfect, the newest version of the Dark Voice has been released. I can tell you that it is the dream PDF document I've always hoped it would be. I love PDFs, and this one is awesome:

http://dv.darkjedibrotherhood.com/DarkVoice_Vol3_Iss1.pdf

Not only is it an awesome document, we had people from CNS submit to it. By the way, submitting (and I believe it has to actually show up in the Dark Voice for it to count) gets you a Dark Side Scroll (DSS) a medal which I do not have, and should get some day. I guess I should submit to the Dark Voice.

Anyways, people from this clan who contributed to the Dark Voice, including Revenant, Shin'ichi, Manji, and and Macron. I'm sure Goatham did something, but whatever, he's not in this clan anymore. (Wonders if Goatham will actually bother to read this report this far down, or, at all).

  1. Gaming

The only information I have about gaming comes from Thursday's gaming night. CNS participation came from Lanius Sin, Xayun, and Shin'ichi. On Thursday's gaming night, participation came from Morg, Lanius Sin, Xayun, Shin'ichi, and myself. Oh, and Xayun hunted the Khobasaurus and won! He gets two Elite Clusters of Fire (ECFs) for that. I need to hunt the Khobasaurus, but he is elusive, with his goofy face and googley eyes. But I'll get him one day. Sadly enough, no gaming from me. I need to work on that.

There are now two bracket tournaments going on right now. The GMRG Open and the Taldyran Invitational. Once the current round for either of those is over, I'll want to report on how the Clan's doing.

  1. Conclusion

If you have questions about any of this stuff, there are a ton of people you can ask, including myself. If you're in this clan, consider yourself special. This clan is a family, and that is wonderful. You have wonderful QUAs and AEDs (even Rai), and a wonderful CON and PCON.

I actually had a few more things I wanted to talk about. I wanted to get all wisdom-like and philosophical, but since I've already written a lot, I can hold off on that stuff for now. The past six days have really opened my eyes. I mean, I thought this clan was awesome to begin with, but now I know that it's even AWESOMER. I hope to be able to do my part in making sure that we don't lose the things that make Clan Naga Sadow special.
