I'm continuing on with my movie watching bliss. I actually just finished a recently released movie, Idiocracy by Mike Judge (the guy who does King of the Hill). It is wonderful and scary at the same time.

1. Introduction
   

I've noticed several things on IRC, and I want to address them.

Rank should not be a big deal in this organization. Well, I guess it should reflect one's historical career in the DB, but don't go off to people and acting like they're really your master or something. That "master" might be a 15 year old kid who doesn't know crap for crap. I can tell you that personally, I am a sad, little man, and nobody in the real world gives a damn that my DB Rank is Dark Adept. I know you all think I'm awesome, but I'm really not.

The level of rudeness on IRC has increased substantially. I thought I could steer the members of this clan into a mold of civility, but obviously people do not change as easily as I wish they would.

Be careful referring to the "short bus" I was in special education until I was 10, and I spent the 2nd and 3rd grade riding the short bus.

If you are a newish member, IRC can seem like a daunting place. That's mostly because a lot of people act like asses on IRC to compensate for their insecurities in their real life. I can tell you I'm incredibly insecure in my real life and on IRC. At least I'm consistent. When I first came onto IRC, I took everything so personally. At this point, very little bothers me, particularly if it comes from outside of the Clan. If it comes from within CNS, and I hold us to a higher standard, then it does bother me. So if you're new, be aware that IRC isn't always pleasant, and if you're old, try to respect the fact that the new members are new. This is honestly an overall problem I've been noticing over the past month.

Watching the members of this clan behave the way they do, bothers me. I just hope that in time you guys foster the same kind of relationship that I have with the older members (and by old I mean 5+ years) of the Clan. People who, while I might not see eye to eye with them, there's some mutual respect going on there.

1. Promotions
   

This clan continues to have a LOT of promotions. This week was especially heavy. We're doing great getting our members promoted early, although honestly we have 5 Jedi Hunters who are kinda slowing down and two of the JHs are SO CLOSE to getting promoted to Dark Jedi Knight. I want to have some DJK promotions (other than Vladek, yay) this month.

The big news this week was the fact that Vladek was promoted to Dark Jedi Knight. It's the first DJK promotion we've had in a while, and it's about damn time.

Imperial was promoted to Jedi Hunter. See, you don't have to be on IRC to get promoted, even if it does take longer.

Magnus was promoted to Guardian. Yay!

1. Medals
   

Thorin was awarded a Grand Cross for doing most of the work creating and managing the House Feud. This medal should have been given out a few weeks ago, oh well.

The GMRG as we know it is going away, and it'll come back in a different form. I think they've worked out the details on that, they just need to code it on the website. However, they wanted to award people for the GMRG loyalty points they earned, since they're going away. I was awarded an Anteian Cross, because I rock. Ylith, Manji, and Macron were awarded Dark Crosses.

Ghilman was awarded an Anteian Cross for being awesome in such a short period of time.

I'm still not sure what these Shadow Academy degrees mean, but I think they're pretty hard to get. Anyways, four of our members received them:

1. Gaming
   

Vladek was the only CNS participant in last Saturday's ICTE. He earned 3 CFs.

In Sunday Gaming, Vladek earned 1 CF.

In Monday Gaming, Vladek earned 3 CFs.

In Wedesday Gaming, Vladek earned 5 CFs, Ghilman earned 3 CFs, and Ylith earned 1 CF.

For the ACC Eraser Competition, Maron Kayvana earned 1 CF, Thorin earned 3 CFs, and Raven earned 1 CF.

In Friday Gaming, Aticus earned 4 CFs, Kinilus earned 5 CFs, Ghilman earned 7 CFs, Ty'Real earned 1 CF, Dragaff earned 7 CFs, and Valek Saurn earned 1 CFs. Wow, look at all the new members playing. It's wonderful.
