CNS Consul Report #40 - April 21st, 2007

Hi guys,

Is it just me or has it been a very slow week? Although, early in the week, not so slow, as we were moving people around in various positions in the clan. It was kinda slow DB-wide. Not too many news articles there. Seems to be a bunch of Tribue positions open though. Maybe some of you guys should apply for DV tribune. Not sure what's going on with Fiction tribune.

Total CON Emails: 26 (kinda slow, this is the 3rd lowest email count I've had since getting PCON a year ago)

1. "Attacking the Clones"
   

I believe there have been a couple of submissions to Malisane's competition. Excellent. I should mention some notes:

*Since I'm handling the gaming, I don't really care how you submit your scores to me. It does have to be email, and I would prefer that you send the matches as they're played. You play three matches against someone, then you send it in. Don't play seven different people and submit at the end of that. I mean, I used to do that with the ICTE and I'd be so paranoid that I'd forget matches and I'd have to write them out. So, just be careful.

*Another rule I just thought of....on non-gaming days the limit is three matches per person per day. The thing about these rules, is that I probably won't think of every gaming nuance. This means that you guys will have to use your judgment, and I'll have to think up rules on the fly if necessary.

Remember, this competition is for you, the members. It is not meant to be overly competitive. It is meant to be flexible as well. That means that if there's some event you think is missing from this competition, feel free to talk to Malisane ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), and we might just add it in a future round.

1. Rite of Supremacy Survey
   

Right after this CON Report, I'm going to be releasing the Rite of Supremacy survey. I hope that everybody participates in the survey and give us meaningful responses. If you give us meaningful responses, like...several paragraphs worth of material, I have permission to give you a Quartz (the lowest) crescent for your efforts.

1. Macron And the Wiki
   

Macron has been put in charge of our wiki efforts. Macron, with help, has been compiling a list of CNS related articles and their statuses. Now, there was some concern that we'd be modifying your personal wikis. We're not going to do anything like that. The primary caretaker of a wiki entry is the person most likely associated with it. So, a BTL wiki's caretaker would be the BTL leader. If we really want to add a nifty graphic or something to a CNS-associated wiki, we'd check with the people associated with that wiki.

In addition, if you want to help with the wiki, talk to Macron ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). He might assign you some wiki to work on. If you are a journeyman, this will count toward your trials. I know it's not listed on the trials wiki page, but I'll be working on adding that in the near future. Just know that wiki work helps with promotions at that level.

1. Crescents
   

I don't normally talk about Crescents, but all four crescents awarded this week came from people placing in DB-wide competitions, which is always nice to see.

Shin'ichi and Tyren tied for first place in the MAA's Warbanner comp.

Ylith got 2nd in the March MT's Poetry event, and 1st in the March MT's Graphics event. If I knew that nobody participated in some of these MT events, I'd participate in them. But meh.

1. Dark Side Scrolls
   

The following people contributed to the Dark Voice and were awarded Dark Side Scrolls:

Nice to see our members representing in the Dark Voice. Btw, did I mention that DV Tribune is open?

1. Medal
   

An Anteian Cross was awarded to Raven primarily for his efforts in the Rite of Supremacy. We still have aout 7 more RoS medals to give out. They'll arrive hopefully in time for the next CON report.

1. Promotions
   

There was one lower level promotion this week. Like I said, slow week.

1. Conclusion
   

I don't know if you guys realized this, but I took my first formal LoA (albeit only for a day) as Consul of this clan. At some point I'm going to need to take a week off, but not anytime soon.
