Proconsul Report

Proconsul Report #3:

Apologies for the lack of report last week – I’ve been up to my neck in RL and have only had DB time to actually do stuff rather than tell you what I’ve been doing. Detailed below are what I’ve been working on.

Comps:

The Clan Run-On, located on the clan message board is still going strong. Keep participating Arcona, we need to finish this fictional arc.

The Great Hunt:

This sucker has absorbed most of my time for the last fortnight. Those of you that know me from the BHG also know that I specialised in running the ‘hunts’ (main activities in the BHG) and essentially, these are the same thing, except you will not be awarded credits but earn points for your Battleteam and the hunts will all follow a fictional theme. Also, Crescents will be given out to the three top participants. Stay tuned for more information, it’ll be launched very soon.

Mejas has kindly whacked the comp up onto a site: http://diabolos.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/GreatHunt/

Tasks:

I’ve finally started getting the Arcona fleet stuck up onto the Wiki. Kieran has offered his assistance and together we’ve got most if not all of our cap ships up. Next, we’ll get the fighter squadrons, and then we’ll move onto the ground troops, however this’ll probably be closer to Christmas, as the only surviving copy of our ground forces order of battle is on my computer back home, and I’m currently at university.

Other than that, the RO (I’ve started marking before it’s finished so it’s not such a marathon for me later on) has been taking up a lot of my time. As said, the Wiki updates have been in there, as has the Great Hunt comp and also a few admin projects which will be tested with the Great Hunt competition. Mejas and I will be informing you of these at a later date if they’re successful.

RL:

Again, I’ve been up and down between Leeds and Newcastle a fair bit this weekend (saw Bill Bailey who the brits will recognise. He was ace), and uni is soaking my time up as essays have been doled out, but fear not, I’m still around and working hard. No anecdotes this week, other than the interesting fact that Chris flinches whenever you move suddenly. My guess: he’s skittish of bum-rape (and also curious?).

As always, if you have any comments or questions, get back to me on IRC or via [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

Thanks Arcona,

Sashar
