Competition Results

My apologies for the delay in getting the results of the Scavenger Hunt to you; I’d personally like to know who thought having all the managers work 6-7 days a week over the holidays was a good idea. Anyway, congrats go out to Deatharoc, Sith, and Kazarelth who took first, second, and third place respectively. The answers to the scavenger hunt have been posted on the original thread.

Welcome to the Clan

I’d like to publicly welcome Wrintel and Dobbs to the clan, both of whom are brand new members. Draven joined us from the Rogues.

Promotions

Only one promotion came for this report. Akth'uldryc'hasse was promoted to Acolyte, and he was also appointed as the assistant envoy for Cestus.

Numerous crescents were handed out, primarily from Gladius wrapping up a big event.

Speaking of competitions…

I have been talking with both the house leaders and some clan elders to lay out some ideas for clan, and even house, competitions. Though they initially started as two separate conversations, they’ve merged into one big idea in my head. So, hopefully in the near future, we’ll get our first big clan competition.

As noted before, the goal is to have story arcs running through several competitions on both the clan and house levels. I really think the clan will like what we’re working on when it all becomes clear. These events will give us a chance to build up clan history, further introduce, define, and develop the clan powers, and, I hope, provide greater activity by keeping you engaged in a storyline. But, don’t worry: it won’t be a bunch of fiction events. There will be gaming, puzzles, and run-ons (ok, so that’s a fiction event, of sorts, but you get my point). Oberst is also working on the wargame, and we may introduce that, too.

In need of a master

Draven is in need of a master, specifically someone who can assist him with his writing skills and clan power development. Anyone at the rank of Dark Jedi Knight or higher may take him on as a student, if they are willing. Contact myself and Draven if you are interested.

Anyone else who is seeking a master, or an apprentice, can talk to their house leaders, the clan summit, or post on the clan message board.

Fictional News

This will be a bit different from the last report, as the items I’m relating aren’t in the “news” style like last time.

To catch everyone up on the clan’s situation, our home system (Yridia) was not hit by the Vong invasion. However, we have to deal with refugees, as is the entire Minos Cluster.

Gladius has recently launched a new honorary title system, in which members of the house can earn special titles that give them the ability to add to their character’s fictional backing.

Finally, I published a wiki article on the Yridian Revolt, an event that occurred during my first tenure as Consul. I admit I had to do some retconning to it, but the overall events are still the same.
