Clan Competition still going
As I stated before, the competition is running until the run-on finishes. It is moving along quite nicely, though, and it is, overall, turning out really well. I'll be honest: it is turning out better than I thought it might. Let's keep it going. See below, in the fictional section, for a recap of the events. Cestus Quaestor Opened for Applications
Due to real life, Karel has had to step down as QUA of Cestus. Kazarelth is going to be on a semi-LoA for a bit due to school, so I find myself in need of a new Quaestor. In order to apply, you must meet the following requirements:
Be at least at the rank of Jedi Hunter, with at least four months in the DB
Have a consistent activity record and have no foreseeable extended absences coming up
Have an average e-mail turn around time of no more than 48 hours
In your application, state and explain your ideas for the house: where do you see it going, what role should it play in the clan, etc.
I know we're here to have fun, but this job does have responsibilities and that means there will be work. Just a heads up.
Applications will remain open until a candidate is found. I have intentionally opened the applications to a wider applicant pool than normal because I want to at least see who is interested in the position (for future reference). Send your applications to myself and Armus.
Tridens' New Aedile
Congratulations to Sephiroth for being selected as the new Aedile of Tridens. For those of you who are not aware, Adien had to step down due to real life complications.
AWOL Policy
Just a reminder that clan activity is just about the only way you get to stay on the roster. Clan activity may consist of special projects for the betterment of the clan as well as participating in competitions. Simply showing up on IRC, no matter how much you talk, doesn't constitute activity in my mind.
Gladius has wrapped up an AWOL check, Tridens is having its roster reviewed, and Cestus, well, Cestus will go through the same thing soon enough. Inactive members are getting the boot, unless they've earned the right to remain on the roster, in which case they will still be moved out of a house.
The house and clan leaders will make sure there is always something for you to do, beyond taking an SA exam or partaking in an ACC battle (though these things count as activity).

Where I've been
Some of you have probably noticed that, for the past several days, my e-mail turnaround has been longer than normal, and I was only on IRC once. Well, one of the other managers was on vacation, and the other had to undergo emergency surgery. This left myself and one other manager to hold down the fort. Neither of us have been in management for very long. But, we were successful and I finally had a day off today.
Little Bit of DB News
They are planning the next GJW already. Also, there are a few other DB wide events in the planning stages, including one that will be hosted by yours truly if all goes well.
Fictional Update
The rioting refugees have been brought under control, and the agents of Deutta the Hutt have been silenced. Now the clan is aiming to strike back at Deutta, starting with the destruction of his small fleet of outdated warships. Our Star Destroyer, the Magnus Kaerner and the Belarus cruiser Phlegethon will be teaming up to eliminate the opposing fleet.
On the other hand, a Yuuzhan Vong force has attacked Eliad, another system in the Minos Cluster. Though intelligence is not certain of the size, we can assume that the attacking force is fairly small, as we are well off the primary invasion route. We do know that Deutta the Hutt had contacts with some of the rulers on Eliad, and the two events may be related. The rest of the fleet may be used to eliminate the Vong threat.
Sorry for the length of this edition of the clan notes. I would have gotten them out a bit sooner, but due to my sudden work schedule change, things got pushed back.
