INTRODUCTION:

It's been awhile since my last report... sorry about that, folks. Real life's been cornering me into a swamp, but I'm trying to free myself. So, the first month of 2008 has already passed.

Just to let everyone know, I will be on LoA from February 22 - 24. I'll send out another email through the Clan mailing list to remind everyone.

In case you hadn't noticed, I've been made a Magistrate to the Seneschal (I like to think of it as "Muffin to the Seneschal"). It's been a pretty good experience, so far, and I hope to make some contributions like the other folks on the staff.

Just a friendly reminder... if you are one of the DJB's gamers, make sure you read the Rites of Combat - the rules of gaming within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

In case you haven't already read Lucien's 1/31/2008 Proconsul report, I suggest you do. Here is the Clan Projects list that comes directly from that report:

Also, this is my first report that has trivia near the bottom. The winner gets a Crescent with Quartz Star, so if you're looking for some easy medals, find the answers and send them to me!

Now, on to the newest edition of the Revvy Report!

BROTHERHOOD NEWS:

1) Vladet Xavier is the new Right Hand of Justice. Congrats, Vlad!

2) In case you did not know yet, the Dark Brotherhood Player Association, the DJB's SWG Guild, has been disbanded by the order of GM Sarin in light of recent events.

3) Thanks to the amazing coding team and other consultants, the DJB site has received a complete facelift with the implementation of the new "Odyssey" template. It is sweet and awesome, and rocks your socks! For their outstanding work, SCL Xia Long (a.k.a. Sildrin) and M:SCL Orv have been promoted to KPN and KP, respectively! Congrats!

4) OT Hel-Pa Sklib, the current Quaestor of House Ektrosis of Clan Taldryan, has been appointed Praetor to the Master-at-Arms. Congrats, Sklib!

5) A new Shadow Academy degree has been released! Everyone, go get your Dark Savant: Leadership and Communications degrees! (I think I'm still waitlisted for the Dark Maven: Writing degree because I need to retake Run-on Studies... eventually.)

CLAN NEWS:

1) Our very own Aedile, Cuchulain Darkblade Palpatine, has been awarded a Sapphire Blade! This is a tremendous honor, and I would just like to take a few seconds to recognize and thank one of our awesome Clan drunkards. Thank you, Cooch!

2) The Winter Games' results are out! Congrats to Yzarc, Dante, and Yeldarb for their outstanding performances and earning first, second, and third place, respectively. A special thanks to Yeldarb for representing our House so well.

3) Clan Arcona and our Clan, Scholae Palatinae, have agreed to a cease of hostilities towards each other. Do not verbally attack any of Arcona's members. If you are being attacked by a member of Clan Arcona, please tell your Clan Summit! This is a large step forward towards friendlier relations between the two Clans and we have to make sure that this isn't ignored.

4) Our Clan core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, Excellence in All We Do. Learn, understand, and pass it on. While we have been lenient with people who "cross the line" every so often, we will become more strict about this in the future.

5) Houses Dorimad Sol and Caliburnus are duking it out! Don't worry, House Acclivis Draco, we have a whole other story for you to participate in.

6) Former Dorimad Sol Aedile, DJK Syphoc Rilkel, has been appointed Aedile of House Exar Kun of Clan Plagueis! Congratulations, good luck, and we'll miss you!

HOUSE NEWS:

1) Kraken Regiment NPCs have been chosen after the competition has ended! Congrats to Kara, Korroth, and Cooch for taking first, second, and third places, respectively. Read about the NPCs here: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=Kraken_Regiment

2) We have seen many promotions since my last report. Congrats to Koryn Thraagus on being promoted to Novice and, later, Acolyte; daigon and Maethorir on being promoted to Novice; and congrats to Nimhiúil on being promoted to Protector! And, last, but definitely not least, congrats to Q'win on his promotion to Guardian! You are all becoming one step closer towards obtaining a lightsaber!

3) Congratulations to DJK Yeldarb and KP Kara on being appointed the new Battleteam Leaders of Dragon Guard and Ebon Cloak, respectively! I have already added a few people to Battleteams. If your name is not on one of these rosters and you would like to join one of the Battleteams, please send an email to Cooch, the new BTL, and myself. If your name is on one of these rosters and you would like to be taken off, please send an email to Cooch, the new BTL, and myself.

4) As Cooch hinted at in his own report, we have a large competition planned for you all. Due to offline problems for both of us, it has been delayed a bit, but it should begin sometime this month. Thank you for your patience. In order to get you excited, here's a small teaser (you may want to start researching your Kraken Regiment NPCs):

ORDER OF THE DRAGON:

I will be moving to quarterly inductions. This means that four people every year will be inducted into the Order of the Dragon. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

HOUSE DIRECTION:

The most dominant House of Clan Scholae Palatinae. House Acclivis Draco.

It is important to remember that we must hold our heads up high because we are the best. We are the true representatives of Scholae Palatinae's power. Despite our importance and overall superiority, we cannot simply flaunt our power; however, we must remember it. In squabbles and squibbles that are later laughed upon and considered petty, we, House Acclivis Draco, are always the better, more mature, group.

Be the better person.

To make yourself look good, make others look bad. To make yourself look great, make others look good. We should aim at making ourselves look great.

Oh, while I have your attention, let me remind you of one thing: don't be annoying. Nobody likes annoying people. If you need a definition of "annoying", I'm sure that Dictionary.com has one.

By being annoying, you make everyone else in our House, and ultimately our Clan, look bad. You wouldn't want that, would you? (If you would, you better start running from Phoenix and his ultimate technique: Super Pimp Slap of Doom and Destruction! Plus, I might even chase you myself with my own ultimate technique: One Thousand Years of Pain on the Buttocks Because of a Sparkly Blue Paddle!)

In short... we're awesome, we aren't annoying, and, even though we have bragging rights, we only brag every once in awhile.

I made a plan for the year 2008 last December. I made changes to the plan in January. I made changes to the plan in the first week of February. Of course, there will be changes to this plan (it can't be helped), but just so that everybody knows my plan, here it is:

February: Cooch's competition

March: "Cool down"

April: Independence Games

May: HAD "Springfest"? "Cool down"

June: #acclivisdraco classes?

July: GJW?

August: GJW?

September: "Cool down"

October: Some kind of Clan-wide event? 2-week campaign (storyline TBD by yours truly...)?

December: Winter Games?

By the way, if I haven't resigned by December 2008, I will then. :P Come October 2008, I will have been Quaestor of this House for two years... I've wasted two years of my life babysitting you guys!!! Just kidding, it's been fun and I hope that I can resign without regrets. :)

"Cool down" = really small/quick competitions = nothing intensive = not burning you guys out

But Revvy... why do we need "cool down"? Everyone needs a period to rest after something extremely intensive. If I didn't have these "cool down" periods dispersed throughout the year, everyone would get burnt out, and there would be close to zero participation in every competition that I cook up. Don't worry, there will be Battleteam competitions running during these periods so that people who are alive don't get too bored, and I will have one or two competitions for the month. The main goal for these "cool down" months is for everyone to chill out, unwind, and realize that the Dark Jedi Brotherhood rocks.
